Auschwitz Concentration Camp

This 5 min video includes scenes from the camp from a tourist point of view. All the images you see here are from the camp and its exhibitions. If you are planning on visiting we recommend you get there at opening time as the crowds grow really fast around 9.45am onwards, even in the off-season. When we visited we did not have a pre-booked ticket and for us it was no problem to get one there when we arrived. Rather than wait for a guide we purchased an excellent book at the entrance and used that and the many existing info panels to take in this sobering experience. Like most other tourist attractions (it is one but it feels wrong saying that) in Poland, English translations were everywhere. Entry is free unless you join a tour (Nov 2016).
