How did you determine you needed 2 inches?
Saw that we needed a 1” of space on front side and rear side of tire
Problems going to be that slicks oblong towards the front at launch then grow as the rpms go up.
What size tires and rims are you using?
They look great.
32” tall. 15”x16” runs
Questions...how wide us your rear from end to end? What size tires?
Next time I take my tires off I’ll tell ya I can’t remember off the top of my head. Tires are 32 tall 18.5 wide on 16” rim
@@HoustonKilby cool..thx. im try to tuck M/T pro 33x22.5x15. Might even to th SR radials that have a 20 inch contact patch.
@@randywiddis heck ya man that would look wicked!! Only issue I had with my build once you get to that big of a tire is the inner fenders the way my 66 is made. The body gets in the way of getting the inner fenders up high enough the get the ride height low. Meaning behind the rear glass the flat area in the body gets in the way. It gives the car a cool stance but it just jacks the rear up higher then the front.
@@HoustonKilby yeah... that's what I'm afraid of. I haven't found a short tire with a 17 inch tread. Thanks for the info.
NICE. JOB. !
BUT A.PEANUTS BLANKET. ?
Ya man never throw out old blankets lol 😂
don't study (brah). I'm sure he's not capable of this mod. Please leave a link to those little leveling clamps. ty

if the rear end was cut the right length you would not have this problem
Well with the tire size that's the problem. We build the narrowest rear end that we could and still have good four link width on the brackets. If it was a small tire no issue but I needed to make sure I could fit the largest tire if needed. Plus the shape of the wheel opening causes a problem on these cars if you use a big tire.
Not true. The wheel/tire combo would look stupid oversized in the stock wheel well. Great inexperienced and obnoxious input, brah.
