If you haven't, you may want to give this a try :) POLEÁ is a typical dessert from Andalusia, the South of Spain, where locals have been eating it since the times of war as it was easy & economical to make. The anise flavour with the sweet croutons gives this pudding a unique taste and it can be served warm or cold depending on your preference. Ready to make this delicious recipe at home? Ingredients (for 6 people)
- 10 gr anise (about 3 tablespoons)
- 75 gr olive oil
- 1 lemon peel
- 100 gr flour
- 120 gr granulated sugar
- 1 litre milk
For the decorations:
- 1-2 slices of bread
- cinnamon powder
- cinnamon sticks
- star anise
- granulated sugar
- salt
