Great vid. I find terrain building the ultimate chore. Would be nice to see really simple easy ideas like these. I remember when pizza's came on little polystyrene disks. Cut up with a hot wire cutter and glued vertically into irregular stacks and sealed with pva before a liberal drybrush with (Insert colour here) made wonderful desert/barren wilderness terrain.

What’s the other terrain in the video??? Is this also something that you have made? And is there a tutorial for this type of ruined building?
What I wanted to do, for a very long time, is to paint this plants purple and add different dots here and there of light blue and white. So that I would have a alien terrain. But thats a crazy idea xD
You know - there are all sorts of artificial aquarium plants on ebay. All sorts of colours. Purples and blue and some really weird stuff. I'm sure you could find alien looking stuff

I don't, no. You could put a dull wash on them if you want. I'd get them done then take a look

Why waste greenstuff for attaching the plants? Just grab a hot glue gun and go to town...far cheaper and even better at it.
