engine is not the war type ? its just a regular bug engine ?
the war spec. engines had different carburators / airfilter / double pulley on the dynamo ?

Lost count of how many times i have worked on those type of carbs (1970`s plus) as i have had 3 VW Beetles and all i rebuilt except for the paint job.
Is the DKW a 2 stroke? If so was the fuel premixed?
The filler cap had a cup in it, I thought that was for the oil too!
No,engine is 4 stroke air cooled unit

Yes the cup was introduced in 1943 and is for premixing. He has a 1944/45 -1 variant. @@alanbeckett4
The motorbike is 2 stroke the Kube has post war 1600 motor
