- The Women's 4x400m relay is always one of the most anticipated events at any Championship, and the 2022 Munich edition was no different.
The Netherlands won gold - having won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Torun - with Femke Bol anchoring them to take victory in 3:20.87.
It was the third fastest time in the history of the European Athletics Championships, and fastest since 1986.
Bol and the Dutch quartet outpaced Poland (3:21.68) and Great Britain & Northern Ireland 3:21.74) who claimed silver and bronze respectively.

The ease with which Femke overtook others is just so amazing to watch. The smoothness & finesse to execute such a pace is as special as it can get. She is just an unbelievable performer....
@Gaurav Jha I just luv her; her athletic ability, her humbleness and ease at which she does her job.
Her stride mechanics are almost half way between the 400 and 800. When she is running she looks taller.
Think abut it. If NED can find one more phenom, we may get to see Femka, getting the baton even with Sidney.
@@LINER011 I hope we get to see that!
The way she walks is technically so good.
Besides Bol , Klaver and Natalia are amazing runners as well
Femke Bol obviously did not go it alone, but she is incredible!
That femke bol klaver combo the 2 and the 4 is becoming more and more dangerous
Her stride was so damn smooth and relaxed in that last 100!
Some runners locks like a man. We need DNA testing in sports!
Massive big fan of Femke Bol
Why Femke Bol runs so gracefully? Incredibly!
They are world champions 🏆 🥇 now femke doing her thing.
Bol is a thoroughbred. Five races in six days three golds and anchors in 48.52. She always rsces, doesnt duck anyone and never seems to get tired or have a poor effort.
I love Dutch runners
As a Dutch guy just wanted to say , awesome job Poland such a great race also 👍
Thank you. But to be honest it was not a great race by the Polish team.
Wasn't perceived as a good one by fans in Poland. Congratulations to Holland & Femke.
Disappointing! Poland only in 2nd place!
"Polish Husaria" keeps spamming: Disappointing! Disappointing! Disappointing! ... 🤣
Femke Bol is just incredible!!!!! This technique and ease and so much Performances. I hope she doesnt overwork herself
is precisely what she is doing! and so Lieke! look at their performance in 2019 and look now! they work their beautifull asses like hell!
I've watched this race approx 10 times already. The CZcams algorithm keeps recommending it to me to watch. I see those Dutch runners and I'm watching it again. Fun to watch Femke Bol's seemingly effortless running.
Wow Netherlands..And I missed Schippers.get well soon.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Femke Bol has been amazing in this championship 💥🎉🔥
@George Akoto Yeah, 3 Golds a double never done before and Meet record, not bad!
@@mstrunn and Dutch record on the 400
Femke Bol is a joy to watch!
The 2nd and 4th relay of Netherlands are in another level.
What you hardly see is that the 3rd runner came back very well on the last 50 metres, the exchange was just after UK.
This was probably my favourite race of the whole tournament, the lead changed so many times, it was a true athletics spectacle for the neutral 👌
The Netherlands team.. They are awesome.. Their rhythm is pretty consistent.
The Dutch ladies: tall, fast. Well done!
Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Poland 🇵🇱 my most favorites 😁 🌹❤️😼😎
Then Switzerland 🇨🇭 and then Germany 🇩🇪
I've watched this over and over again, and every time I'm even more impressed with the Dutch Squad and in particular Fantastic Femke.
Femke Bol is the European super star, also world star, and a true treasure
Lieke Klaver (2nd leg) and Femke Bol (final leg) pushed like Red Bull PowerTrain (F1 analogy).....out of this world and astonishing...
just watch how still Bol's braids are! Super smooth, all forward. Wow
Fantastic run by the Dutch Team& Femke Bol was supurb! Incredibly graceful runner!
femke was just jogging along that back straight in 3rd place lol great run
Praise to Belgium team also for staying in the league of top teams till end. Also congrats for national record
Helena Ponette, the 3rd runner for Belgium, was especially impressive. I wonder what her time was, must have been stunning.
@@guywerb Exactly. Helena Ponette had the most unexpectedly phenomenal relay split of the entire year, male or female. She split 49.33. Her personal best is 51.93. Entering 2022 she had never broken 54
Hahaha.
@@wastedcentury1805 Yes, superbe leg by her.
Have you also noticed split time Femke Bol? 48,52!
The Netherlands did the job perfectly. Congrats from poland🎉❤
I am so infatuated with Femke Bol! Holy dibs!
@Mike Lewis You join many, I had a custom tee made up with her picture holding her Gold medal, :)
It's awesome that Pols are always just happy to be o the podium
Leike Klaver ran really well. Femke Bol was to be expected to run well, but Klaver, she usually can't maintain her speed in the second half of her leg. Well done ladies!!!
She switched her strategy she doesn’t blast out the gate anymore. She keeps a steady race then takes off around the 250 mark . She is much improved. If they could get one more of their caliber they will be a problem
Klaver has improved a lot lately, she manages her races way better now.
@@JulioTejadayGarcia exactly I’m not sure why coaches encourage athletes to blast out the gate. Like she use to Natasha’s Hastings from the us use to do the same thing. They always faded. Now klaver is more balanced
When you have a generational freak like Femke Bol as team mate and whom trains with you everyday you're forced to get better lol
@@GyariSan1 absolutely it’s similar to dalilah Muhammad and Gianna woodruff. Gianna woodruff keeps getting better. Sydney hit a new stride once she started training with Allyson Felix
The belgian girl on the 3 leg. She had fire in her legs!
it looks so easy to femke bol. 4th leg time was incredible. just amazing.
Bol is great 400 anchor always😊
What a great race, and thank you a million times over for not ruining the results of the race in the title of the video!
You just can't beat Femka Bol in the stretch. The first time I saw her run I knew she was going to be great. She just keeps getting better.
Sydney Mclaughlin can. :)
@@spanishlessons4075 Dalilah Muhammad too and many more
Who is this commentator ? FOOL, Natalia Kaczmarek is not the Polish Record Holder with 49.86. The Great Irena Szewinska is, with her Gold Medal performance from the Montreal Olympics in 1976, 49.28 !
Lieke ran great, the other two stood their ground, so femke could watch, controle, and than she said in the last 100 meters.... het was mooi...houdoe en bedankt hè!
Unglaublich! Fantastische Leistung von den Niederländerinnen und Polinnen! Gratulation!
Well done GB and NI left it all on the track.
48.52 by Femke, 49.28 by Natalia but I think the real surprise was Helena Ponette's 49.33 on leg three for Belgium. They deserved a medal
Why?
@@henkoosterink8744 Because they ran above themselves, 3:22. I would like the first four teams to have medals!
@@Fatima502 Bullshit, just run faster.
Where can I find the times of individual runners?
The Best Poland Team
Bravo Wonderful Polki...
Disappointing! Poland only in 2nd place!
Polskie Runners The Best
My favorite...
Dutch people really are one of the tallest people on the planet. And it shows in sports like this, Femke Bol is a rocket powdered woman but Lieke Klaver clearly has the advantage of her length 😲 🥇
Thanks for mentioning this.Ithought I was seeing things
Actually Femke is taller than Lieke, with 1,84m vs. 1,82m (a little less than 6 ft).
@@MrMezmerized : and still Lieke towers over the other athletes as she runs...
Bol and Klaver are such beautiful runners (and i mean their running technique)
Femke Gold 🥇🥇🥇
Netherlanlands! Congrats
Femke Bol is a beast
UNBELIEVA-BOL🧡🧡🧡 proud to be dutch🇳🇱 such a good tactical race this was👏🏿👏🏿 i've enjoyed it!
Fecke is just awesome
Natalia Kaczmarek from 4th to 2nd what a finish!
Natalia Kaczmarek did not lose the race! Disappointing! Poland only in 2nd place!
How is it they never even mentioned the 3rd leg runner of belgium. She was so impresive
Helena Ponette was the fastest 3rd runner with a split time of 49.33 seconds. Very impressive!
@@AmorOmniaVincit128 where can we find those split-times?
@@robbert89rl See my other reaction. The link is included.
Britain & Belgium's best runner ran in 1st leg yet finished 3rd & 4th, while Dutch & Pol used perfect strategy to save their best for last leg.
Hence secured Gold & silver
The gamble went wrong for Brits & Belgs
Poland's strategy was far from perfect, really bad 2nd leg that cost them the gold medal.
@@mysteriousdoge1298 second leg had second time in polish team tho'. I don't think it was possible for polish team to win this, three first legs would have to work out big advantage to prevent Femke Bol to win this race. Femke is just too good at this point - and the bar of this race was overall exceptionally high. If anything - it's Justyna Święty-Ersetic (third leg) that underperformed.
@@kempo79 The race was decided on second leg, I think Baumgart shoulld have started and Kiełbasińska on second leg as she's much faster on first 200 than Baumgart and she didn't quite ran her best on 1st leg 50,8 is not what was expected from her after 50,2 in the individual finals. If the Dutch weren't in front of Poland Kaczmarek could hold Bol or at least it would be very close. Still if only Święty-Ersetic was in her usual form or Baumgart they would run over 0,5 seconds faster on their legs and it would be a win for Poland but sadly they suck this year
@@kempo79 Kiełbasińska was starting from the blocks, was much faster than Baumgart, her time would be about 51,5 without the running start which is very weak, same to Święty both had very simillar underwelming times, Baumgart had the worst split btw Święty was 50,8 and her 50,9, Kiełbasińska was 50,8 from the blocks which is miles better but still she could do much better as i said (stll she finished 0,7 seconds faster than the 1st Dutch girl but somehow Baumgart managed to lose all that in few seconds), Kaczmarek 49,2 - the only Polish runner that ran her best in this race
Cap, the last leg runner for gb ran their quickest leg of 49.7.
NED relay... what a kind of beauty...
Netherlands has a great team. Always look like they're having fun.
Femke is a joy to watch.
The third leg of the Belgean team was incredible. Too bad the forth leg just did not have it.
Commentator caught up 300m later.
Even if she had it they would be demolished by femke bol
Kaczmarek is NOT a Polish record holder. The Polish record is held by the GOAT IRENA SZEWIŃSKA and it's 49,28 which used to be a world record. Your commentator never heard of her?
No one's ever heard of her. We don't care about a washed-up has-been who ran when dinosaurs walked the earth!
We can all sleep easier with that important clarification. Thank you for your service!
Correct 💯
@@MoManny It's "I." Never "We."
One more important clarification.
@@MaciejBogdanStepien Judging by the likes it’s definitely “We”, oui?
Good outing from Ireland. Legs just not there today and some traffic problems didn’t help. Did us proud today.
Some amazing talent coming through right now, Adeleke is a brilliant example. She'll be godl-medal material in a couple of years with a little more experience. Even some of those who have been aroudn a while are beginning to deliver at teh top level too, Mageean, Eng'ish, Barr etc. Exciting times ahead.
That power from Dutch bae were crazy. Awesome
The camera man is a Man of Culture.
femke bol once again clutching for the team. Just too damn op hahah
Bol is a fantastic athlete, by a long way the best in Europe. She's terrific to watch too, with a great finish at the end of her races. Unfortunately, brilliant as she is, she's still a long way behind McLaughlin, who seems to be a few steps up from anybody else. But in Europe, Bol is supreme, no doubt about that.
Congratulations to team
Femke Bol is a beast. If the race is close Femke can almost always run people down. Can't wait to see the 4x4 at the 2023 world championships.
Netherlands need to find another 2 good runners for challenge USA in 4x4
The Netherlands has no chance against the U.S. team.
As noted, the Netherlands needs to get three seconds faster if they want to be in the running.
This aged well.
@@syazwanjunaidi360they don't need because the usa always has a problem to get in the final.

Brawo Polki!!! Kto z Polski? Poproszę łapka w górę!!!! Polacy pokażcie moc!!!!
Pięknie wywalczone srebro najważniejsze że przed angolami😁😁
Brawo Kiełbasińska i Kaczmarek!
That’s some solid camera work!!👀👀
Netherlands team most beautiful team in the world
Felicitations ! Victoire historique.
I love the diversity in the podium. An All white Netherlands team winning gold, a somewhat diversified Belgium winning silver and an all black Britan team bagging bronze.
The Polish team won the silver medal, Belgium came fourth.
Im happy with improve the UK team have made.
Love watching the young women from NED run. Studs
Femke bol(t)!!
This crowd is electric!
Huge track fan here. Live streamed Worlds, U20s, Euro champs. That being said (how can I put this).....how do these people get to be world class athletes AND good looking??
Just an observation.
Know what you mean, it's almost like a spontaneous beauty pageant - or a 'Miss World' competition only with real talent.
Owesome relay
Femke is amazing. That's all
Ich freue mich sehr für die Mädels aus den Niederlanden - tolle Athletinnen... und Femke Bol ... so leichtfüßig... so souverän... rollt das Feld von hinten auf... 400 m im Sprint... boah!!!
What a pleasure watching Bol run. Also nice to see the team from Africa running for GB,proud to be African
Yeah they are SO British aren't they!🤣
@@kentimmins9171 Well, they obviously weren’t born in Bretain but, that’s today’s laws and regulations. I can mention a whole bunch of footballers who weren’t born in England, Germany, and such, but they were allowed to represent those countries: Łukasz Podolski and Mirosław Klose used to play in German national team. Both boys were born in Poland but .....
Klose and Podolski have some Silesian roots, that is why they received German citizenship (Germans usually consider Silesians Germans). It is a completely different situation than in case of people who came to Europe from Africa or Asia.
They were all born and from Great Britain so I don’t see your point
Why the Poland always can catch up from far behind? Unbelievable
вообще-то неможет.
Poland is Russia people !
