“I got a torch and a sword, get out of my way”... “I ain’t got time to bleed”.. 😂😂😭😂🤣🤣
Matt is iconic.
"I've got a torch and a sword get out of my way."
"I ain't got time to bleed!"
"I got an emperor to deliver this to. Gotta go."
Spoken like a true son of skyrim
More like cringe
Nope
I like how the camera guy knew he was going to saw into his hand and just didnt say anything
He knew that was coming lol
I imagine at some point you turn 60% of your brain off and just focus on having everything on cam. Either way, if anyones to blame its the guy with the saw anyways.
Cameraman can't advise in any way, shape, or form. They simply record. They're like the Watchers from the Marvel comics. Eternally watchful and unable to intervene.
Just like NatGeo videographer, he need to let things went as naturally as possible without interference, lol
Good content!
4:08 "I got an emperor to deliver this to..."
Best NPC ever.
3:16
"Should we tell him?"
"Nah, Let's see what happens."
Literally what every mainstream media does to us!
Matt did a really tough blade in just 4 days under a little gazeebo. He is the real bladesmith. Nice, man!
Cameraman: *man looks like he's about to cut his finger. Should I say something?*
*zooms in for close up instead*
Haha
James cause that’s what hero cameramen do
That zoom was done in editing, not by the cameraman.
@Mohammed Ali common sens I would say 😂
Gladen - 50,000 dollars worth of equipment and a propane forge and tons of power tools
Matt - Hillbilly in the woods with a $40 barbecue and a bag of charcoal under a $60 gazebo.
That match up seemed really unfair.
Charcoal won't produce enough heat to forge metal it has to be hard coal preferably from cave creek West Virginia.
Not, "unfair," it's actually perfectly fair. The guy knew he could end up in this exact situation. It's happened plenty of times and the guy with all the equipment doesn't win every time. He blew it on the handle. It dulled because it never made a clean impact on the ice, because of the handle shape not allowing for a sure grip. His sword bludgeoned the ice in half more than cut.
and the first guy literally used sheet of metal, cut the sword out and then grinded the edge and fullers. The only "forging" he did was the quench...
@@GudderGames Right, like a rich guy's kid applying for the same spot at an elite uni as a lower class' kid - perfectly fair - they knew what they were up against.
@@GudderGames Exactly, nice analysis
Matt voice sounds just like a guy blurred face to conceal their identity.
Lmao you’re so right
@@HikariDesu 🤣🤣🤣
I put the blur on and modulate voices to conceal identities of whistleblowers and witnesses. You are dead on with your comment! I make people sound like just like Matt all the time! 🤣🤣🤣
They did
Do you mean his voice?
Feel so bad for that Matt guy. Maybe it's his eyes, his "forge", I know he needed that 10k.
Me too, I always want matt to win
At the end of the day all Matt had was an old school anvil and a hammer, while the younger gentleman had much sophisticated machinery so it made a lot of difference given their race against time. Moreover Matt also sustained a slight injury so it also affected his work. I was rooting for Matt the old school swordsmith.
@@kinjotao1 wow, very well said but I wouldn't agree on the machinery part you could do a really great sword without all the fancy equipment if you were skilled obviously.
@@princeedmunddukeofedinburg yes it's possible but all Matt had was four days. He was already exhausted from hammering the steel all day. These little factors play an important role in the challenge. if Matt had more time he could've done much better taking his own sweet time.
@@kinjotao1 yeah, just the wood cutting - a decent saw would do that in less than a minute. Also, on sharpening the better belt grinders will make it MUCH faster to get a good edge. That tiny little grinder just seemed - inadequate.
I'm watching that guy saw that wood with his hand directly beneath the blade and all I could think is "wow...he's totally gonna cut his hand off".
Yeah, dumb AF 😶
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that coming.
I saw the finger injury coming with how he had his finger in the way with that saw. I kept muttering "Finger, finger, finger, finger, FINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!" and then it happened. DX
Fairly clear what was coming, what with how he was holding it. You’d have though a guy who makes blades would be able to avoid that😂😂but hey, we all make mistakes
i mean idk how well his eyes affected it
Matt is a “old school” smith. He made an admirable blade, especially considering the relatively simple setup he had at his disposal.
That forge in the middle of the forest it seems pretty safe...
Yes, its raining anyway hehe
Be afraid of the guy who smiles while sayin “It’ll Kill “
Keal- Keep everyone alive
Keal
As soon as I saw him holding that piece of wood to cut it, I said out loud "that's not smart".
10 seconds later he cuts himself.
Saw: Are you ready?
Finger: Not really.
Saw: Were gonna do it anyway! 😂😂
I didn’t know Andrew Garfield was a bladesmith 🤓
I aint got no time to bleed. Love this mentality.
At 2:05
I'm terrified by his voice 😂
WTF how did he got his voice in this level 😂😂
*WHITE BROTHER OF MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCUN*
I AINT GOT TIME TO BLEED! lol love that he quoted that.
@@ujjwalb2994 long lost brother of JoergSprave.
Just stay away for 2 days your voice will do that too
He has Skills..he just needs some equipment..😐
my man forging in a tent
K
"The Ice Block Chop ....
SUPERSIZED"
J always find a way, to amuse him self., hahahah.
The gerth wideness of his blade made it through that humongous blocked and the sharpness good Lord it went straight through those
1:22 1:27 2:58 thats what she said
You, dear sir. Are my kind
😆 🤣
the classic dad jokes xDDD
His blade didn't make the cut, but his hand sure did O_O
6:40 the ICE-TERMINATOR, man amazing work
God I care for Matt more than my personal life now, he seems so nice I wanted him to win so bad, he did the best he could in four days and working the old traditional way
They bought a 7,7M dollar sword for just 10.000.
This is bisness (in Nigerian accent)
@Murv that going to be a hard pass from me, even if i had 7 million to keal
The sword was a recreation by Dave Baker, the real one is in a museum.
(Obvious joke btw, for those who missed it.)
Don't try to lie now that you been caught.
Gotta respect the grind.
Wow. Peter Parker ain't losing time and learned how to make swords
I'm convinced Matt is Nic Cage from Con Air. Kept waiting for him to say "Put the bunny back in the bag.."
Great to see some info on the sword
3:20 I saw that comming way before it happened.
Glayden's blade quality + Matt's blade shape = Would be perfect sword.
When he started sawing I started flinching. None of it came as a surprise. Ooof.
This show is the best!! Awesome judges. Dougs joke about the sale killed me AHAHHA or should I say keeeaaallleddd
Love the bald dude's smith setup, tent in the woods, must feel good working there!
He comes back to the set, and his finger is healed. It's a miracle!
Scripted
AMAZING!! IT'S LIKE... time passed..
I literally learnt about forged in fire today and now im early to this upload somehow
New Ability Unlocked: "it will cut"
Man I missed that ice block chop so bad...
It's the "Coolest" strength test ever
Matt, if you ever see my comment, just wishing you all success in life, and hope you be able to enjoy forging as much as possible, I hope you are happy out there. Just happy you made it to that final round and went out with a smile.
A Friend from far far away, excuse my bad English.
I used to know Glayden as a kid
Me too
And me
So did i
And my mom knew him
And some rando named eric knows him
Hats off for Matt, being able to produce a working saber with that home forge, he just blew the handle but created a very good blade
This show makes me hungry
Nice! A forge in a forest...
A van down by the river !
"I'd pay $700 for a Big Blue right now." Maaaaaaan if that ain't the truth
Ok boomer
And what is a "Big Blue"?
@@europeanpatriot8031 its a soda usually found in the south. They have Big Red and its cream soda counterpart Big Blue.
@@gagemiller7684 What is a "cream soda"?
@@europeanpatriot8031 best way i can put it is a soda flavored with vanilla
A table top full of cash is a pretty deadly weapon if utilized as such.
6:39 i thought the blade broke but it cut that block in half wow i dont think ive seen that before on this show
3:19 big oof
Even the captions said "it will KEAL"
its actually what he says. its from his martial art dojo or something "it will Keep Everyone ALive"
@@xxel1tevi0xx61 Well that's ironic to say about a sword :)
*Blade doesn't do well in the cutting test*
"Unfortunately your blade didn't make the cut"
Matt has a good heart hope he heals well he tried hard..
Showed the wrong sword at the end.....
How cool is the 8:13 cut? Tatami didn't fall after being cutted. Perfect edge and execution.
Didn't cut all the way through. Only reason it doesn't fall.
" I ain't got time to bleed " hahaha!
6:04 You can hear the sadistic smile of glee in his voice
U can tell everything through the music
That was pure quality. His blade had a nice balance between weight-gained sacrificed for a tougher blade and edge construction. He hit the right scales so his blade turned out great and could withstand the abuse without losing edge or breaking. Had he slipped a little during the tempering he would've probably ended up like the other guy edge-wise, but his heavier blade would be an even bigger demerit.
i;m sad for Matt tho, the guy really tried with his limited equipment
I was rooting for mat, he did pretty well considering the difference in what they had to work with
Sweet !!! 😊
1:22 thats what she said 😂😂
I ain't got time to bleed! Classic
Never cut towards yourself
My favorite show 😊
Hi! Thanks for being a #ForgedInFire fan! You can watch more Forged in Fire clips here: bit.ly/3a1NyJL
7:10 anyone noticed how the blade is facing him, almost two cuts.
Poor guy Matt accidentally cut his fingers off. But kudos to him for an old school Blacksmith for making a beautiful sword even if his opponent has better tools.
We were all rooting for Matt. Hope his finger healed alright
Love the predator reference to Jesse Ventura’s character lol
That quote from Predator though at 3:30
That looked like a pretty scary effective blade Gladen turned in there…
i like how in the captions it's "keal" not "kill" LOL
Lmfao the fact the camera crew didn't even tell him to stop before he cuts his finger 😭💀
They both made good swords in my opinion
I know I'm late to the YT episode, but at the :37 time-stamp showing the Boateng that was sold for $7m+ seemed to have a forward curve to the blade whereas the Boateng they showed & the ones crafted seemed to have a backward curve, any reason(s) why?
ANOTHER SATISFACTION OF THE DAY
IT WILL K E E L
Maann the guy forging in a small tent it's much more enjoyable to watch than the guy with full equipment.
It was pretty obvious that during the first quench the heating wasn’t homogeneous and then the man was on the point to cut himself 😂😂😂
One of the few shows i've seen where the contestants and judges are pretty chill people. Maybe because they have therapy from hitting stuff all the time lol
3:20 Music goes extreme as he is sawing with finger underneath. You don't have to be Nostradamus to know what's going to happen.
3:29, nice Predator reference......blain would be proud
6:19 found the ten grand lol XD
I love the stack of cash on the judges' table signifying that the Boateng is expensive AF.
I liked Matt's blade better tbh, it had more of the essence of the original blade. Gladen's blade was fat and did not look like the type of sword they were making.
So technically he should’ve won due to parameters right?
@@OutlawOfTexas imo, yes, but maybe not
The parameters on that style of blade aren't very strict, and Matt's handle (specifically post finger sawing) was extremely lacking. With no way to index the blade (glancing blows and scalloping on the tatami mats) plus the edge that won't hold, he deserved to go home.
@@wereboarder2009 ahh I see. The other guy's blade just seemed so clunky to me, and I interpreted this type to be more light. Even at the end they told him to cut down on the size next time. I didn't realize it's more open in size though
Gladens blade was definitely a little forward heavy, but that actually helped him in this case (deeper/easier cuts) with less effort on the input. The deep and wide fuller's helped pull alot of the weight that would have made it unwieldy otherwise.
I know he's exhausted, but sawing like he was is asking to lose fingers. The first thing they teach you before you even step foot in the woodshop is not to hold wood like that when sawing.
The young man did an incredible job
yeah but his sword didnt look like what its supposed to be, the blade was almost twice as big
3:19.... Smart....
I am amazed that Matt mad what he did with as little of an actual forge.
For a sec i thought they would need to forge the bucks too
Poor Matt I was Rooting for ya
Did anyone else see it coming that he was going to saw through his finger? Lol seriously why would he do that
yeap lol
was quite obvious. lol
He was doing that because the vice was wobbling. His table was clearly not too stable.
The best part of this episode was the dogs
you could see the saw in the finger a mile away
Asks them to create a $7.7 million sword for a cash prize of $10 grand. Stonks
Is the is weapon mulan uses?
I'm still wondering how did matt made such a strong and beautiful blade using man power and simple forging methods
Of the myriad of safety concerns I saw with the gazebo forge, I honestly didn't predict cutting through his fingers with a hand saw as one of them. Way to subvert my expectations!
It will KEAL!
