fuel economy on my zx is good! on open highway 5 liters/100 km. max speed is 185 but this car definitly needs longer fifth gear because have more power to be used... 185 km/h on 4600 rpm... definitly needs longer gears

@BXTZDTurb I tuned it a little bit, because the pump was not on its correct settings, which resulted in a lot of black smoke on the highway. Turn a few screws and she runs much better and faster, needs less fuel and smokes a lot less...
Stock is was very fast indeed. No real need for tuning ;-) Although this BX has a K&N airfilter, which makes the car run a little smoother. There is a small change in accerleration, but not very much...

@BXTZDTurb This BX once did 182 km/h on the GPS! I like the bosch pump more because it is easy to tweak, and more durable than the lucas pump.

i get the feeling that the hydropneumatic pump is working a bit too often. is it normal to turn on every 6 or so seconds while cold?

true on thoose engines are weak head gaskets... i have citroen zx 1.9 td and its quite fast faster than golf III tdi 110 hp. after i bought car i had head gasket problem, after reparing it never more... so its quality engine!

Not sure why you’re revving it so much. No real need for a diesel to go over 3,500 rpm as they pull from almost idle.

Only reason in my opinion to do it would be to blow the soot out.
