I had to fire a Psychiatrist for refusing to prescribe this. Don't let them bully you. You are the boss not them. If you Doctor refuses to try this drug then they don't care about your well being.

Is it not possible the doctor was looking out for your well being? The side effects of this drug are massive. Bethany is a very rare outlier in that she isn't obese/diabetic/unhealthy/drooling all over herself.@@wesKEVQJ

Research the side effects! This will shorten your life, you could baloon in weight, your immune system will be severely affected. Should only be used as a last resort!!

My son is resistant to amisulphride 600mg morning and night for 1 month in December 2021 . This week he is showing symptoms like weird speeches and yesterday he was very active and aggressive. Now the doctors are strongly
telling us to use clozapine and also ect.
Is it possible to try clozapine first and then if showing improvements no need for ect. Ect will have temporary memory loss
But ect is to support the clozapine treatment we were told
We are a bit skeptical and reluctant to ect
    Please advise 🙏 thanks

I have a mild form of schizophrenia and am on a light dose of Clozapine, Most of my symptoms are gone, no voices, paranoia , I'm functioning just fine, 100 % rational, I tried largactal which is dreadful, and a monthly jab of some other drug which i cant recall, I take my meds at night and thats it!!, only side effects are drooling, and i keep a face cloth on my bed to wipe it off when i wake up ,its dam better than been an in patient in the funny farm!!

  • @andrewheath5948
    @andrewheath5948 Před 2 lety +2

Clozerpine is last line anti psychotic... why? 1. Can be dangerous if suddenly normal dose given after not having had it for 3 plus days. ( hence blood tests). 2. Horrible side effects! End up having many medications to assist in managing them, and they have their side effects....This girl seems to have benefited... but most have bad side effects - tiredness, lack of motivation, very bad constipation, incontinence from drugs used to manage constipation, no good for smokers, white cells fall leading to easier sickness, including aspiration pneumonia.

It's less about illness and more about making others feel safe....being a psychologist....
Strangely drs feel for broken violin instead of let's say parents breaking head...is this capitalism..?
It's always good to check if parents are breaking brain....coz parents don't say that..for some reason...
I once told a dr the reason why I am sitting opposite unis becoz our parents r fdifferenr.
My best guess wud be most psychiatrists have very supportive parents....and they project on patients which makes illness worse....I mean it's the opposite.....warning parents(inna doctorly manner) that it cud be "unfortunately random parenting styles" and" bad luck " (1 percent parents...very unfortunates).
Also it's in psychiatrists interest to refer some illness and in India parents are assigned as "informants" ....I'm not kidding u...
    So

if you were a psychiatrist, you would have known that treatment of schizophrenia with tardive dyskinesia is either clozapine or quetiapine. clozapine reduces tardive dyskinesia symptoms. however you are not psychiatrist, you heard some fancy medical terms and using it in an offhand way. clozapine is the most efficacious anti-psychotic drug, to help a patient return to reality.

With all due respect and I'm happy she's doing well, but her experience with clozapine is so aberrant. . I mean she's probably in the 1-5 percent of people who did exceptionally well. Pt.s I've seen on clozapine gain a ton of weight and sleep 12+ hours a day, are constipated, drool everywhere, and are more and less drowsy. So. . .this example is a very cherry-picked response to clozaril. For every one of her there's probably 50 others who would give opposite testimony.

So if I tell my parents that dr said to get checkup heart blood they report may paranoid to Dr next consult
I'm able to report this because I chose to come off clozapine(which is another mental ilness..haha)....
With a drs help now(mostly for show...and for parents and societies relief more than anything they keep yapping..but then that's voices.)
I have friends also.....but they too scared to help I guess.
Can't blame them ...they r on meds turns out..lol
I think govt must make a secret census on people on meds....so drs won't prescribe a lot knowing the stigma and get their child wife shot by 1 % of those who get screwed for money.
    It's really a win all......
