I just came back from my freshman orientation at the University of Michigan. I vlogged my experience there and I hope this video either helps you understand how orientation is or maybe even calm some nerves.
My first day of orientation was June 9, 2019 (Sunday) but I had early arrival so I got to East Quad in the evening of June 8, 2019.

I went to Pinball Pete’s too!! The dude at the desk was really kind. He gave my friends and I friendship bracelets for free “because friendship is forever.”

thank you so much for posting this! i’ve been really anxious lately about my orientation coming up (june 17-19) bc i can definitely be pretty shy and awkward when starting something new. however, watching this really helped me to calm down a little bit. i’m really excited for what’s to come for umich’s class of ‘23! go blue! 💛💙

This was such a great vlog! I just made a college orientation video myself for the University of Florida not too long ago. It was a very exciting experience, but i was definitely nervous and anxious beforehand! How much walking is involved at orientation? I’m sure it’s a lot but I’m just wondering how bad it will be while I’m on crutches because my orientation is two weeks after my ACL surgery.

Daniel Chang i actually had a kid on crutches in my orientation group. he was provided a wheelchair when he needed/wanted one. there was a lot of walking but staff and other incoming freshman helped him out

Hello! My name is Ayanna Boateng and I am interested in Michigan university. Is there a lot to do around the university. Do they offer good financial aid packages. Thanks!
Immense Presence hi! yes there are over 1500 student organizations as well as club and tram sports. its also located in the city of ann arbor so all the places i went to were about a 10-15 minute walk from the dorms. financial packages depend on the person and their financial situation. i was able to receive a wonderful package as they covered a lot of my tuition but my friend didnt get as much.
Are we allowed to wear shorts in the campus ?

were you able to get good financial aid as an out of state student?
I was able to be an amazing financial aid package. however, the girl that was supposed to be my roommate earlier on actually wound up de-committing bc she didn't get a good package and she was out of state as well as so it really depends on each person and their situation
I really want to go here but I doubt I can get in I only have a 31 ACT
The middle 50% of people accepted have 28s! I think you have a really good shot!
