I have owned a Dremel most of my life but never thought of using it to carve. I have been making Christmas Ornaments for many years and will follow your instructions to decorate them this year. I just tried it and its so much easier then carving by hand. At age 90 I try to learn something new every day and today you were my mentor. I also plan to use the Dremel to add detail to my lathe turnings. Maybe I should buy a modern Dremel its much fancier then mine. Keep up nthe good work, Walt
He has the Amazon link in his comment. They are under $40! Having a hobbie is so important! Happy Holidays to you and yours💝🌲💝🌲💝
Good shit Walt
That is awesome, Walt! I appreciate you kind comment. I would love to see some of your work!
Awesome!
As someone just starting out my wood carving journey it's nice to know the love for wood carving lasts a life time 👍
I just purchased a dremel and have been looking for some instructions on all of its uses. Cornelius…you are my new hero!!!
So happy to hear that you are enjoying the videos!
I believe you meant to say "Instrumental" to wood carving lol .... not *"Detrimental". But great video keep up the good work
haha yes, a better word could have been chosen. Thank you man!
@@CorneliusCreations the complete opposite term lmao
Came here for this
Fundamental?
Detrimental : causing harm or damage.
When you speed up the video, the nice, gentle, Dremel sound suddenly turns into a horrendous screeching sound that hurts the ears. I'm not sure if you knew that when you sped up the footage lol
But aside from that, I love your tutorial. It's sooo well thought out and you don't miss anything. You make sure that we really understand, not only WHAT you're doing, but WHY you're doing it. I love that you are explaining your reasoning behind everything you're doing. That helps soo much. You've just earned a sub!!
Hey Danni! Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate your subscription! I appreciate your feedback! I will watch out for this on my new videos! I am using so many exclamations! lol. Be sure to join our new FB group :)
I started doing wood art after the holidays and I have found my new hobby! I have been thinking of doing some stuff with Celtic knots, and thanks to you, I won't be thinking very much. Fantastic demonstration!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I made a Celtic knot in stone for a friend. I learned a lot in the process. It's fun to see your video again after making it because now everything makes more sense.

Thank you for the creative guidance. My sister has always been artistic and I'm excited to see her be able to have an outlet like this to focus on. This will be something we could do together and make a memory with a memento to boot.

I love your video. It gave me an idea to make an outdoor sign out of pallet wood. This will be a couples wedding anniversary sign with a saying. I can't wait to get started on it.
Feeling confident after watching the video once that I could finally address the unfinished wooden boxes I’ve been collecting. Doesn’t seem as intimidating.
When he says listen. Listen. The cutting technique is everything.
If you’re forgetful like me, jot down a couple of notes. :)

i am building a small Celtic cross for my beloved recently deceased cat. You just gave me the inspiration to attempt some knot work on it. It probably wont be perfect but I'm exited to yry. I've got plenty of wood to work with so a few throw aways are acceptable.
Nice to see you back, I haven't seen a video of yours for a long time.
Thank you Mark! These videos take an extremely long time to film and edit the way I do. I’m hoping to get on a regular schedule 😁
This was the perfect information for printing stencils. I did one today and just printed a full size on a 8.5x11 piece of paper and reduced it on my printer /copier. This app will be great. Thanks for the info. 👍Beautiful finished box now I know how to add depth to the celtic knots. May integrate some wood burning into it as well. 😉
Happy to hear that!
