- Have you ever wondered if Pokemon weren't the only creatures living in the Pokémon world? Well, so have I, and this video takes a closer look at some of the more mysterious creatures once found in said world, those being... animals. No, I'm not kidding!

I can't believe earth will not have every animal coded into the game
The Pokémon Product approval manual says that “Pokémon never die.” You tell that to poor Stoutland! 😭
A couple of years ago, I tried doing a “scientific” analysis on which Pokémon equates to which animal.
I gave up fifteen minutes in because my old handbook said there was no way to tell whether or not Bulbasaur was a plant or animal.
Think of Bulbasaur as two separate creatures a Bulbasaur is like a lizard with a plant on it
the fish people I don’t gotta listen to your crazy talk.
Be glad you didn't get to Mr. Mime
Imagine waking up one day and real life Pokémon have appeared around the globe.
It will be wild! :O
Mathinus Wolters You bet it will.
This is why I loved Detective Pikachu
My headcanon is for pikachu being the mouse Pokémon is that it’s the Pokémon world’s mice but there aren’t any real mice. Just like how there are cat Pokémon such as litten but no real cat breeds such as calicos or Burmese cats.
I see it kinda like in the Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra, where you have "Real World Animal-like" fauna, often coming across as a mix of creatures, but the creatures referenced when describing/naming the fauna are just... A general description, and having the creature referenced existing on its own seems downright obsurd, to the people of those worlds of course.
One way to look at it is: We have Komodo Dragons, which aren't the same as the Dragons of numerous myths and legends spanning countless ancient cultures around the world. Those dragons don't exist. But we still know what a dragon is, despite never truly existing.
Something to that effect at least...
2:41 Pokémon=Aliens
.....
Wait?
ALIENS!
"Starts writing down thousands of fan theories that leads to crazy conspiracies on a fictional world."
Seriously though, I think Pokémon is just Pocket Monsters to me. Plus, my Snore(Snorlax) is just too chill and awesome to start questioning his origins. I love him for who he is. No matter what :D

"Pokemon are never to be referred to as data of any sort nor are they ever reduced to data"
YES. I always HATED that interpretation of the box.
So the only successful animal in the Pokemon world are humans.
Imagine the electric eel in the Pokemon world. An electric and water type...
A peacock flying short distances in real life looks like when Ash seen Ho-Oh fly over him.
I actually own a copy of the Pokemon Product approval manual and it has all sorts of things in it including never referring to pokemon by gender or how all pokemon names are pluralized already.
3:08 wait... that’s venomoth
I never noticed that. Whoops!
10:32 some plankton are plants.
awesome video, i love whenever this topic is brought up. my personal thoughts are that in the pokemon world domestic animals people farm or keep as pets are still around, but wild animals that share their environment with pokemon are definitely rarer, not having supernatural powers is a downfall. i feel like pokemon are also consumed by people but a lot less often than animals are. a world where pokemon thrive and animals have been mostly cast aside is probably just something they dont want to advertise nowadays haha
I wish Pokémon were real!
You know. I believe that the real animals ate pokeberries and became pokemon
Are humans on the pokemon world pokemon or animals
To me it was always kinda strange that the real life creatures co exist with pokémon... hmm...
If no real-world animals existed in the pokemon world, why the heck would the pokedex call pikachu the "mouse" pokemon, and other pokemon called as to what designated real-world animal they are. Nobody would know what a "mouse", "lizard", "turtle", etc. is if they NEVER existed in that world. This is an example of a clueless world-building. (they should have just kept those game-related information within the game and created a separate but concrete world-building and lore for other media; mangas and animes)
I prefer the original franchise and concepts over what it turned into. Pokemon designs became oversimplified, robotic, humanoid, or inanimate. While the beginning of the series we had creatures that actually looked like they live in the wild, the series now we have creatures that look like they exist in some strange anime or space. Earlier Pokemon like Voltorb and Magnemite were clearly man-made using the sort of technologies found in the Pokemon world and were far simpler as Pokemon. When gen 1 isn't creating animal Pokemon they are creating Pokemon based on top-tier world mythology and traditional fantasy. I think these bases' guiding good monster design and this was lost in later generations when the team starting making up their own things. What made Pokemon great was that they weren't just basic silly Japanese anime monsters like those seen in a competition like Digimon or Monster Rancher. They lost that and frankly, those worse Digmon designs are more similar to Pokemon than the new Pokemon are. Animals in the Pokemon world as a guidelines for Pokemon designs is one of the things that made the Pokemon world come alive and seem plausible.
ゆい714 Have you not seen Dreadnaw and Corviknight?
I don't like that all wildlife are pokemon, what mean if you capture the pokemon you capturing all the wildilife
All of this has been retconned.
One thing that I always found was odd about an Earth with Pokemon instead of animals was just that Pokemon are friggen big!
I feel like over half of real life animals are smaller then a cat where as Pokemon don't get any smaller then like, an orange. We need some friggen tiny insect Pokemon! Fill those niches!
Yes to everything you just said, man!
They gotta exists so people and pokemon can eat them but how can they survive is major question.
If real mammals don't exist cricket burgers for everyone.
we got fruits and vegtables
how will a world with pokemon and animals exists
It's likely that the animals would be stronger and more resilient than their real world counterparts in order to adapt to the presence of Pokemon (I mean it's been shown that humans in the Pokemon world are stronger than humans in our world seeing as how they can survive certain things that would normally kill a person). As for ecosystem and food chain, most likely Pokemon would eat animals but at the same time animals would eat Pokemon, I mean it has been established that people do infact eat Pokemon so I don't see why animals can't do the same thing
Pokemon But With Animals Instead
Nah,they’re just different Pokémon
welp im hype for poke-month
Owl owl? sounds like a potential English Pokémon name
If the burgers, steaks, and chicken they eat are just "regular people food," and it's implied that they eat meat at the rate humans currently do on a similarly populated planet, that's 50 billion animals slaughtered every year in the Pokemon world.
I really wish Pokémon were real and animals were Pokémon. They should give animals powers and call them Pokémon
Unfortunately the Earth will not be supporting all animals next year. However, the birds who don't even flap their wings will be there.
Wait a minute? I've haven't seen you in a long @WilfredCthulu . Always saw you top comment in Game Grumps. So, how have you been?
Also to answer your comment, it says in this rule book, "Pokemon will...not....be...eaten."....EATEN! Then where am I gonna get my Whismur steak. I thought it be delicious. Now, all I'm gonna eat is veggie burgers. XD
I've been doing alright here thanks. Actually working on "season 3" for my channel right now. I actually did leave a comment on game grumps yesterday. It wasn't a positive one though. Haven't liked the Sonic R series.
@@WilfredCthulu Good to hear dude. Good luck on Season 3 too.
Also, just look at Sonic R. That is just a monster of a game. Destroying players from inside and out. Mentally and emotionally.
Also, cool to see you on TheCartoonGamer. I watched this channel for at least a couple of years now. Doesn't he sound like Rob Paulson? His voice is awesome.
Yeah I like Cartoon here a lot. Also they're playing by far the worst version of Sonic R. Missing out on all the charm, ideas, and bomb ass soundtrack. You should see the definitive way to play it.
@@WilfredCthulu Oh, I didn't know of more than one way to play. I guess I got work to do myself.
finally
I really fail to understand some of the 'rules' like they have made full-on episodes about Pokemon gender, but still, refer to cannon male/female pokemon as 'it' ?????
the pokemon anime's writing has never been their strongest aspect. you have to admit, the writing is pretty bad. as it's repetitive, corny, filled with plenty of plot holes, like why dosen't ash just deal with jessie & james for good? overall, pokemon is not really a good show. I think sonic x is better.
