- These are my 10 favourite levels in the DKC franchise. I had a lot of fun making this.
NOTE: What I say at the end of the video probably doesn't make sense, but you'll get what I'm trying to say.

In DKCR3D, 8 levels are added, turning the Golden Temple into it's own world, the actual level being the last
Good luck updating this list to include Tropical Freeze levels. That game could easily fill up its own list of best levels.

You know, it's weird. Despite my love for DKC and Returns, I can't think of what levels would be my favourite.
The one thing I could NEVER get over with in ghostly grove....

Awesome video bro. Even though it's unfair to have a top-ten, as there's so many more amazing levels.
Favorite is definitely Slip Slide Ride on the GameBoy Color. The level is really fun on it's own, but the Kremlantis theme just makes the level ascend higher.

DKC3 is my personal favorite in the series. I wish it got more love. Still, nice video bud.

They tried to troll us the entire DKC 2 game with that Klampon + Spiny combo. I also love Diddy Kong's rocket in DKC Returns. Also, those Kowalees are really creepy and the sounds they make when defeated are uncanny. Also, it's kind of scary how huge they are and how they only appear in that one level.

completely agree with you man. DKC trilogy....best atmospheric, inspiring game ever. Especially music and graphics. Would be great to see this kind of game in today`s videogames

Do you think DKC1 (GBA) should've had the extended Winky's Walkway and Necky Nutmare like the GBC version?

+MLG Falcon The first level in DKC 3 is Lakeside Limbo.
The Rockface Rumble GBA version is more fitting to the level then the SNES version, but the SNES version sounds slightly better when compared on their own. Actually it's hard to compare the two as they are good in their own ways.
First off: DKC3 is my favorite out of the original three (it's the one I grew up playing), with that being said, I thought levels like Fire-Ball Frenzy or Krack Shot Kroc definitely captured the mood of a run down factory. The music sounds VERY industrial and broken in some parts, the background is dark and eerie, I'm kind of surprised you didn't pick one of those levels. But it's all good, I'm definitely biased anyways, haha.

This video is outdated, but one of my faves is from Tropical Freeze, the rainy level in world 4, with the remake of the Lockjaw song from DKC2. The song and atmosphere alone make the level INCREDIBLE to play

My top 10 favorite levels:
10. Lakeside Limbo (only level I liked in dkc3)
9. Trick Track Trek
8. Chain Link Chamber
7. Oil Drum Alley (i agree with your statement)
6. Stop & Go Station (I was legit scared of this level as a kid because of those things remind me of why i was afraid of the dark)
5. Hot Head Hop (the ambiance and that jazzy music was a drastic change up)
4. Snow Barrel Blast (aka hell, the one everybody hates lol)
3. Ghostly Grove (same reason why I liked hot headhop)
2. Jungle HiJynx (cause it's always a classic)
1.*Tie* Target Terror and Rickety Race (I saw this level on the trailer, and I literally ran to Funcoland to buy it and play that stage)

DKC2 is my favorite video game ever. DKCR is my 2nd fav DKC game and the original is my third.
the water-tree-level is gba-version, right?
I would of thought a water level in dkc at least in the top 10 because the water music was amazing

There's a song in a game called Xenoblade Chronicles, that, whenever I listen to it, reminds me of that guitar. They sound almost identical.

10. Sucks, This is a Default Level for me ):.
9. It's very Good but no for a Top 10 ALL DKC Games, only one of the bests in DKC2.
8. I Love Mountain Levels in DKC3 and this is very good.
7. The First level in the Haunted World in DKC2 Is Awesome, i Love this.
6. It's the Most Original Level in the First World in DKCR but not the best.
5. This Level it's one of my Hatest Level, IS VERY HARD.
4. One of the Signature Levels in DKC Series, I Like this.

2. THIS WORLD IS AWESOME, THE LAST LEVEL IN DKC2 IS ONE OF THE BEST, I LOVE IT.
1 I Love JUNGLE HIJINX But Pirate Panic is also one of my fav levels, I love all 2 but All are different: One starts to a Jungle THEME, THE Other stars at Pirate Theme but i Love them.

My Favorite level is also jungle hijinx, it was the first game i also played and this level is really nasloljic..........i don't know how to spell that...

Oh c'mon, Jungle Hijinx is amazing! It more than any other level represents what Donkey Kong Country is all about. The level opening where you bust out of DK's house, the cave where you see your Banana hoard missing, being able to go back inside DK's treehouse for an extra life, grabbing extra life balloons hidden in the treetops, tons of enemies on patrol to stomp, the hidden Keg you could ride and the introduction of DK's most faithful animal buddy: Rambi. What's not to love about this level? Especially if you're a -DKC fan.
#1 wasn't terrible. I just don't think Jungle Hijinx deserves the #1 spot.
