    I think once San Martin starts getting into the $500-$600+ range (which it might be with a Swiss movement) then you start to compare these to Swiss (Swatch group?) Brands. Not sure San Martin can compete there yet head-to-head.

    The watch reviewed is the SN015, not the SN016. the SN015 has the jubilee watchband, the SN016 has the sporty watchband and is missing the cyclops

    I think the "losing interest" point is mostly on watches that homage too close to being "clones". I bought an sn006g2 and sn051g2 and I haven't lost interest a single bit. I also have a hulk sn006-milsub coming that I'm quite excited about.
    however, my sn020g2 and sn059, I do feel some loss of interest there :)

    Your point about losing interest after the honeymoon period is exactly how I feel with my San Martin watches. Excellent pieces, but I never connect with them long term. Really hope they release the NH34 Batgirl version of this soon.

    Only on the 15 so if there another link or u might have to retitled the description of the VIDEO

    • @WatcheswithGeorge
      @WatcheswithGeorge  Před rokem +1

      The Seiko Sports 5 has the brand name to back it up which in the long run holds that much wanted love about the watch. With these as much bang for buck as you're getting the novelty factor wears off very very quickly and you always end up going back to the Seiko. Thanks again for the comment and support

    Really great review! I’m intrigued by the “losing interest” comment? Of course subjective for everyone, but why do you think you have lost interest? Is it because it reminds us too much of what we really want (Rolex), we feel embarrassed to own such a close homage, or some other reason? No judgement hear at all…genuinely interested in yours and others opinion on this.

      @@WatcheswithGeorge... it should at the price difference $400 vs. What will be around $100-$120 or even just under $100 in the sales (if not now then just wait a year).
      Agree if you have the extra money go with San Martin, Cronos or Steinhart.
      To be honest I'm particularly infatuated with the Tudor GMT - Black Bay Pro ... maybe San Martin will do one of those soon. Or even a Squale color pattern (light blue dial, blue and white - day/night 24hr bezel).
      Not a fan of the Pepsi Dial.

      Fyi I have the Pagani Hangzhao movement GMT ... still runs fine no problems with the movement ... agree San Martin finishing and lum are much better than Pagani.
      Also have the Pagani Steve McQueen, a Citizen Promaster Ecodrive Worldtime GMT and Casio Royal Worldtime ... so at this point I'll probably just save up for something high end (Tudor or Christopher Ward).

      So far so good! But I can't confirm in the long run. I think the movement can be easily swapped, worst case scenario, as these are around 100 dollars, even cheaper than servicing. I think they do these now with that NH 34. So have a look. Thanks again

      Ehhhh…. Sometimes when you had to work your way up…it’s really hard to wear a $10-20k watch and risk scratching it. Given Rolex went from under $100 to $200 price range during my fathers’ mid 30’s, I’d say it’s all about name. And Rolex is a non-profit. I find that interesting.
      Don’t get me wrong. I like Rolex. Because for now it’s a good investment. Buy one, wait three years and even selling it the day you get it…you could double your money based on which design you chose…like the Batman. Then go buy another with the money you made. Good for investing cause someone will always be desperate enough to pay that increased price.
