These are phenomenal. I think you might be the only one who has shown the brown dial on that GADA. I know they are coming out with even another version of the GADA with different dials and the date on the 6. Thanks! And yes hope they start using that shorter clasp.
@@arcaine101 Gary from I Like Watches had some sneak preview photos. I forget which video it was, but I’m sure SM will be officially releasing them soon enough.
I've been wearing the red one for two weeks now. The finishing is absolutely phenomenal. The on the go adjustability of the clasp kind of ruined the experience of every other clasp I have on my other watches. The bracelet may look quite generic but it is finished really well and doesn't distract from the head of the watch which is righteously the star of the show. The bezel has a sloping edge which makes it look a lot slimmer than the GMT. It's a damn nice watch. Thanks for yet another excellent review. 👍
You’re so right about some strange intangible quality to this SM that certainly is an enigma. That’s how I feel about my aventurine gmt. It’s very well done.
i agree with your assessment of the dial quality and general design unity of this watch . . . as well as the negative associated with the thickness. That thickness is, i think, driven by three factors: firstly the domed box crystal; secondly the depth of the dial's features (i.e., applied indices and textures); and finally the choice of the NH3x movements. For the three handers the latter are 0.7mm thicker than PT5000s (although only 0.25mm thicker than ETA's 2836 GMT). Personally i've found that two unsatisfactory NH35s in my life are quite enough, so the SN0129 is a non-starter for me, but this is good news for San Martin's progress as a brand, even if the Jianghun War Drum is not so much. -- gary ray
I have the white/silver 3 hand version and love it. I can't really find any faults. The radial brushing and polished bevel is a lovely feature and the thickness is fine. I like the other dial colours but feel the white is more versatile so I would wear it more. I'm also not too keen on the fume effect as it is a bit dark around the edges of the dial
I have the red and it is superb. Dial is beautiful, case finishing exquisite. Bracelet could use some polished chamfers to make it pop just that bit more. But the case can’t be faulted.
I have the aventurine dial one and I'm conflicted about it. I like the overall look but the aventurine dial just doesn't do it for me. I loved the look of aventurine on my Sugess moonphase. Maybe it's the oyster style bracelet on the san martin. I'll try swapping it to something in leather. On another note, I also have like you the SN0116-G-GMT, and it's such a gorgeous piece. Imo it's the best watch they ever did. I have it in the dark gray dial and it's just stunning. I have their chainmail bracelet (the more aggressive beads of rice bracelet from their SN0115-G watch ) coming in the mail and I plan on putting it on the SN0116-G-GMT. Their best "original design" watch, with their best bracelet for the ultimate grail san martin 😉. Anyways , awesome video as always and have a great one!
Thank you so much! I see we agree that the SN0116 is the best original design they ever did 👍. This one has a little more complexity on the case and indexes, but as you say much less so on the the bracelet. I hope they try something more daring for a future update although San Martin aren't known for making too many V2s
Thank you for your review! I have a red dial on its way. Tracking says it has entered my country so sometime this week I will get to experience what you just spoke about! Got a good price on the recent sale - just a bit over $200.
@@Horologique For an update, mine arrived yesterday and it is all that was promised and more. I have not taken it off since I sized the bracelet. What a wonderful watch!
I am curious how does the new model(without GMT) feels on the wrist , does it feel too thick? Because for a watch that has NH35 inside 13.2 mm sounds quite thick
With all the curves and whistles it doesn't, it feels just fine. However there's no denying that it's quiet thick, and that's why I put it in my negatives
Is it just me or has this and many other watches are ruined by the clumsy fume dials. I hope fume is just a fad as very few get it right as, in my view, it should be subtle not fading aggressively to dark or black. Red should fade gradually to a slightly darker red or better still not do it. Maybe it's just me but fume is a more intricate process and should be done with more finesse. I realize it's Ali Express but I am referring to many brands who should not bother and have ruined a decent dial. Just my thoughts
The brown is stunning. Looks like someone has applies a vignette to a lovely image of sand dunes at dusk

Thank you so much my friend! Yes, so do I, a thinner watch and a shorter clasp would make this even more of a success 👍
Where could we see those?

Jumped on the lapis dial version and haven’t looked back - an absolute stunner!💯
I really envy you, that's one I would have liked to have... Keep on enjoying it 👍

Very good assessment regarding the thickness 👍. I'm also eager to see if Jianghum can give us something a little less polarising
There's a hint of a semi-guarded crown on some of the GS Evolution 9 models as well. That said, I would prefer the SM without crown guards.
Good review. Needs more cuts however for maximum irritation. Might I suggest one per syllable?

Thanks Olivier, San Martin IS définitely a very good micro brand. It shouldn't stay a micro brand for a long time but a brand AT all very soon...😊
Ordered the white three-hander for 217 euros. Expect it every day, but this video makes me certain I have made the right choice.
I'm really glad, I'm certain you will enjoy it! That's a wonderdul price also 👍
Great review. Beautiful looking watches! I especially like the brown dial.
Thank you so much my friend
SM might just be the company who is making the Erebus watches, so similar those dials🤔
And almost at half price.
@@fito631 agree totally. With customs charge to UK the Erebus become to expensive for what they are in my opinion.
@@a0r0a7 I totally agree with you as well! Have a good one! Regards,
Got the addiesdive sand in quartz, would love an auto with this kind of dial

I have the red one. Because of the shape of the back it wears more like a 12 mm. I got a 7.25 inch wrist btw.
I deeply regret selling my SM watches, even for the profit I miss them. Time to buy another one I guess....
Would be nice to see 36mm of this case with interesting versions of black&white dials.
Trust me the 39mm already wears very well on small and medium sized male wrists
nickel comme dab

San MarrrtAn 😆 cringe 😆
Strange, to use the French way to pronounce this as a Spanish person
