    I didn’t see any other sources mentioning the tricks you mentioned. I tried the cloth one and it decreased the current so so well. I just need to modify a bit (maybe stitch it with a thread and needle into a tube shape, so it doesn’t open up once in water). But amazing. Thank you.

    Thanks for the idea brother,
    I tried your method and reduced the output hole by attaching an old pen, unfortunately I think this causes too much back-pressure which pushes water out through the air intake tube as a side-effect ("made a mess on the table" situation)...
    So, an alternative I found is, at the end of air-intake-tube, we have a provision for opening it, I pop-opened it, I made a cotton ball and stuffed it into it then closed it; and when turned on, was able to reduce the flow pressure as I preffered...

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you bro. But, stuffing the air tube with cotton or any other material only reduces the air intake volume. However, the water flow remains the same.
      You can verify this by putting you hand in front of the filter output nozzle.
      But, whatever you did works for you then its great.

    Guyz just a small suggestion for small tank owners, if you buy 1.5 feet or less size tank, you'll have to worry a lot about the water pressure coming from the Power Air filters else you could try the Video methods. Next time if you are thinking of Power Air filters, go for minimum 2 feet Tanks as it has more space to throw the bubbles.

    Not sure how I ended up on this video but rather doing all this, its better to buy a hang on filter. Also in case you bought something that doesn't work as described... Return it, no need to make any modifications. keep it simple 🙏. Another thing, based on all the ideas you shared, all you are doing is reducing the output flow. which means intake pressure remains the same and Betta wont be able to swim properly, which will stress betta and will eventually result in death. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

      if you reduce the speed then the bubbles will not come out of the filter. If you have a lot of fish in one tank then bubbles are necessary but if you only have 4 or 5 fish then bubbles don't matter much but there should be some water movement inside your tank.

      yes, you can but you will need to make your own filter somehow because this pump cannot work outside water. I will make a video soon about DIY external filter.

      @@gurribuy Great looking forward to it. I need to some how regulate the flow to use the filter in my tank. Yes I got greedy and managed to get WP1000 filter. Its way too much for my tank.

    Can you please tell that if we use these way will this damage our filter ?

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  Před 2 lety

      NO. just make sure you are not stopping the water. We are just trying to divide the single stream from the filter into multiple streams so that the water is spread out and can't push our fish or plants around.

    Hey bro, i want to ask you a question. I have a 2 x 1 x1 Ft Planted Aquarium. Which filter should i use? 500 L/H or 880 L/H ? i have only 3 fishes and may get 2-3 more in future.
    Thank You

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  Před 6 lety +2

      500 L/H should be good enough in a planted tank but 880 L/H will also work. you have about 60 liter aquarium and if you divide 500 with 60 you get 8.3. that means the filter will cycle the water about 8 times in one hour. and the bigger filter you divide 800 by 60 you get 13.3 so, about 13 cycle in an hour. Finally if i had no plants i would go with the bigger filter but if i had plants i would use the smaller filter. I hope it helps. By the way what fish are you keeping.

      Thank you for your fast answer. Yup i do have plants and i have 1 Rainbow and 2 Angel Fishes. I m thinking of buying some more fishes.But my primary objective is the plants, the fishes are secondary.
