Saying mā te wā to the last of Air New Zealand’s teal livery

- The eight remaining Q300 aircraft will soon be sporting the airline’s iconic black and white look and will be sent to Blenheim for their transformation.
They are the only aircraft in Air New Zealand’s entire fleet that remain in the teal Pacific Wave livery that was donned within the early 2000s. The teal livery and colour was a nod to the airline’s 80 plus years of history, starting with the creation of what was then Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL) and now has become Air New Zealand.

I have had so many memories with these liveries. The All Blacks which is now All Black, the Hobbit, and the teal. They will be missed. But the silver fern is fantastic.
@Air New Zealand How about keeping some in *Teal Tail* as _Special liveries_ ? Because they are much beloved in the world wide aviation community 🌐✈

Great Video Air New Zealand.. great to see the process for repainting but we on the livestreaming channel 'Wellington Flights Live' will miss them.. Wish we could just keep the one in Teal.. but understand. Dashies are such an awesome plane and we love them.. 💙🤍🖤🛫

god our liveries have evolved so much, and it’s always sad to see childhood memories go. but, we must always turn the page to another chapter of air new zealand history.

you are an exceptional airline, we live in Perth WA and really enjoy the direct flight from Perth to Auckland.our next trip later this year we will be catching a few internal flights as well, Tauranga to Christchurch , and Christchurch to Auckland. cant wait!

Better be some special liveries soon.. I love the black but the teal is the true history of Air NZ and there are so many great memories from the pacific wave liveries and others etc

It will be sad to see it go as I grew up knowing the teal as Air New Zealand's livery It really suited all the aircraft :( But at least the dashys will be getting a nice new livery :) (Livery recommendation do a teal version of the liveries we got now :)
It would be cool for the teal livery to be present on some planes,but we must move forward.

im happy on the outside but on the inside im so sad my airport is wellington and i would proberly see a teal Q300 evrey day and ive got photos of it so im glad i have those and i wish they would leave them for a littel longer but im surprised that were going to suposedly keep flying the Q300 till 235-240 considering that they average at 16 years old
Nothing beats the Teal. Still the best livery you guys ever had. The black doesn't looks as great and makes the aircraft look like depressed emo teenagers.

The black and white livery seems so cheap, as if AirNZ could not afford some colour paint.
Worst thing Air NZ could have done was get rid of teal colours. Replaced with some hetro masculinity colour. Who came up with that colour scheme? The then CEO?Ridiculous!!
