- Hi, I am Oliver. In this video is my daily life in Tokyo.
This video was shot on New Year's Day 2024.
My New Year's holiday was a bit lonely, but I was able to spend it relaxing. I spent it watching movies, cooking, and drinking good sake. I happened to watch the Ekiden (relay relay race) live and was moved by the way people cheered for strangers they did not know.
Unfortunately, in 2024, Japan began with an unfortunate event. Every day I watched the news and felt sorry for those who were in difficult situations.
There is not much we can do as individuals, but I hope that many people are safe and can return to their normal lives soon.
I wish you a wonderful year 2024.

Hello I have been binge watching your videos and only was able to watch this video now. I was in Japan for New Years. I was so sad as well, but also scared as it was my first time experiencing it (I was in Matsushima at the time). I too donated because I felt so sad and wondered what I could do as a tourist. I hoped my donation helped those in need. Great video, always comforting to watch during my lunch at work.

私は東京から田舎に戻り独り暮らしですが、昨日の雪かきの疲れが当日ではなく翌日にくるようになりました。
雪の日にアイスを買ってきて暖かい部屋で食べるのももちろんやっています。
お料理の段取りがとてもわかりやすくて美味しそう✨

You are a very lovely person and it comes across well in your videos. I also live alone and have no family, sometimes it can be hard to do what has to be done alone, but now I am going to say to myself Ganbare!. I really enjoy cooking, I find it relaxing and you have given me lots of ideas for delicious meals. If you are looking for a great movie , there is one called Regarding Henry, starring Harrison Ford, its an amazing film. Plus I would recommend going to the movies to see Dune Part 2.....it's amazing and the soundtrack is unbelievably beautiful by Hanz zimmer. Have a great day, stay well, blessings from Scotland.
