What would I have bought? Yes! Lol a little bit of everything probably 😅
Which branch is this at? Thank you
maybe out of fashion but i like to get japanese editions of western CD releases, would apreciate at least a minute spent on those
I think the question is what would I not have bought? I'd go broke if that was near me
if i had to guess, that wooden box with the turn table (or lazy susan for us north americans sometimes term it as) is probably for bonsai trees to turn periodically so it gets even sunlight distribution on the tree's different sides.
One thing that really strikes me is just how impeccably clean and organized it all is for the sheer size of the place and variety of what they have. A typical thrift store only a fraction of the size here in the west always has that feeling of a bomb having gone off in it by comparison.
nearly any thrift store here in Georgia, USA, is going to look like it was ransacked.
Japan in a nutshell.
Thank ふくふくん for that
The Japanese just have so much respect for everything especially cleanliness. That's just one of the qualities they have amongst quite a few others.
It’s levels of degree of worship of consumerism. Unfortunately Japan is probably one of the worst in the world for that
This is the hugest thrift store I’ve ever seen! With Norm’s excitement, it felt like I was treasure hunting there😆Easily half a day can be spent there looking around all the great stuff! Thank you for the fun shopping video, I really want to visit there!✨
ITS MASSIVE!! And I noticed that you just released a video IN THE SAME SLEEP POD place that I did hahaha That's awesome!! It was pretty cool eh? Keep up the great work~ And you should definitely visit!
Yuka Sannnnnn! 😁
hugestest!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 definitely a target location for me !!!
Those vinyl for only £2.64
It’s the Bookoff Super Bazaar FYI. Added to my Google Map List! Thanks!!
Thank you, I was amazed he didn't mention it haha
yeah me too .. i was like wtf where is it :) @@Arynex
thank you @nicolenadia1
Which one specifically bro 🙏🏼 when I go on maps there’s like 10 in the greater Tokyo area
We are here once more with Norm's Thrift store adventures that makes me wish anything like this was in my country, even if its a tiny fraction of it... And not the ones that are just tvs, fridges and else.
LETS GOOO!!! Idk why but I have a passion for thrift stores. The idea of suddenly finding something I've wanted as a bargain, or even something I didn't even KNOW I wanted is amazing, so every time you upload one I like to share your passion for the stuff you see from a distance 😂.
These places are DEADLY. Not in the sense that you'll get lost and starve (though that's also easily possible), but you'll end up bringing back suitcases full of stuff 😂
Bought back like 3 suitcases full of toys 2 years in a row, haha.
Hope you're doing well, Norm!! :D
Where is this place?
r9736 the specific store? There are 1,000s of these stores in Japan :)
@@richardwilliams877 yups name of the store.
The turntable device you were looking at, I think it is for working on / trimming bonsai trees. It makes it easier to trim around the tree/ plant.
Time to start adding all those locations you showed up so far to my list since I finally will visit Japan early next year. Also, your excitement is always the best part of your videos!
I've been to Japan, China, all over Western Europe, the US, and Canada and I can honestly say I've never seen a store quite like that in my entire life!
Your excitement and vibes are infectious my friend! As always I sooo enjoy the content and your style of editing! Thanks for sharing!
I love these thrift store adventures!
The Pyrex prices are insane though having grown up with them being considered “old-fashioned” at the time. I love that they’re still treasured. And all the model trains…!
Thank you for the visual feast!
Take care!
I have NEVER seen a thrift store that size before, not even an eighth that size. It's like a mega supermarket!! I'm astounded at what can be sold too. I've managed three different charity shops in the UK. That is absolutely Insane!!! My favourite section is always the bricabrac as you never know what you'll find to be able to use ❤ Your excitement was catching, so wonderful to see such enthusiasm 😊
That puzzle art at 7:55 is by Yoshitaka Amano, who is famously known for doing most of the art for the Final Fantasy series as well as Vampire Hunter D!
I really love your thrift store videos, and the stunning state of most items always amazes me.
Thank you so much for putting the location in the description!! I actually went to that store to check them out. It was indeed HUGE!
Always loved the second hand stores in Japan. Got me so many Manga, games and merch back in the day during my couple months in Japan and been browsing there every week. Guess having had multiple Book Off locations right by the stations on my daily commute did not help much in not finding myself browsing for too long.
so many amazing things to fid!
Seeing this huge thrift store makes me kinda sad that my local thrift store, and other retails stores are not as organize. I feel like in the last 10 years there's been a big shift towards quantity over quality shopping experiences so it's hard to find organized stores that you can actually find what you're looking for
This is just the kind of store you can spend hours upon hours in and walk out with much more than you intended and I love it haha!
Another great Tokyo Lens Video. I've always loved thrift shops, or as we call them here in the UK 2nd hand shops/charity shops. That excitement of never knowing what treasures you might find. When I last visited Japan I had a friend that took me to some large and I mean LARGE Bookoff Super Bazaars and other recycle shops in Chiba but this one in your video is like the cave of wonders from Aladdin. I'll definitely be spending a day there in the future. Thanks for ruining my bank balance Norm! /j ;D
I love these thrift store ones! Thanks for another great video, Norm! You rock!
Glad you like them!
Yes, a new thrift store video!!! Let's go!!! I love finding hidden treasures at thrift store
just so many thrift stores to hit up lol
Norm I think you have found a very happy place for you. I think I would lose a week or more in someplace like that just wandering around. Well organized and clean what a great store. I shudder to think of the amount of the real estate for all of that stuff to all occupy since it was all one level it appeared. Not a small amount. Thanks for taking us on another journey to entice us on the merits of Japan.
Another amazing thrift store! Looks like another to the list of future explores I've got to do 👀
Oh wow, that’s the biggest thrift store I’ve ever seen. I feel like you could get lost for days there and still find all sorts of new things the whole time 🤣
Thanks for bringing us along! 😊
omg such an amazing looking shopping experience!!! thank you Norm!!
Bro, I love your channel man...keep up these awesome uploads
Dream come true at 30yrs old flying from Scotland to Japan for the first time, I've got my eye on those boxed N64 games :)
These thrift adventures are always just mind blowing. It seems like the thrifting at the store you find is similar to simply treasure hunting.
wow, you could spend weeks in that store and not see it all! I love how neat and orderly it all is, such a difference from what we have in the west. I would have to go everyday and take it section by section, I would need to see all the things! so cool, thanks Norm!
Whoaaaaa! Thank you for this. Definitely adding this to my October trip!
I love these kind of videos!! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for being here for it!!
Heading to Japan in January for my first time and this is the type of store me and my cousin are looking forward to hitting up. I actually notice you out your hand on something I am actually hoping to find
Man i love stores like this i can spent an entire day just browsing
I appreciate that you at least looked at the clothes section for us despite not caring much for the section yourself. There's so much there!
There are a few Book Off stores in Southern California but the one I visited was a fraction of the size of the amazing store you filmed; that was bonkers! The store I visited only sold books, manga, Cds, Dvds, anime figures, cards and collectibles. 🤗
I want to do a thrift store adventure with you one of these days. Got all the secret spots. That's freakin sweet Norm. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are doing well.
Spending multiple days in this store is something I could easily see myself doing. So much interesting things to look at and buy
I always love it when you have one of these videos. I can see things getting out of hand with your brother =-) considering the sheer amount of everything in each of these stores, and as you mention how good the condition is of many of the items, how could you not? Its not like we have anything even remotely close here in Canada to shop even a fraction of the products. Looking forward to the next one.
Wow! I’ll have to check this out next time I go to Tokyo! Thanks, Norm!
Omg, I just moved to Niigata last Friday and I am so motivated to check out all the thrift stores in town thanks to your videos, keep it up! I wonder if the thrift stores will be slightly different in a less tourist-y area 😅
I love to see people's carts when they do videos exploring shops, if you don't wanna lug them around while recording it'd be cool to have a quick section at the end showing what you bought at home/studio.
Awesome video Norm! I've been looking at the possibility of going to Japan later next year, and I definitely will be dropping into one of those thrift stores, they look like the kinda places that will actually make me spend money haha
I miss japanese thrift stores so much. Thank you for sharing this and reminding me a bit of my former life in Japan :)
Always enjoy your thrifting videos! Hahah, I think that's one of the largest Book-off's I've seen! It's probably one of my favorite places to get used manga and Pokemon cards for my nephews :)!
Can't wait to go check out that shop!
I’ve been studying in Japan for two weeks now. Thanks for giving me a new place to visit
thats amazing! How's it going so far?
I LOVE your thrift store video!!!
i can't believe it! i've been to this book off a couple of times on my last japan visit!!!
need to get back there 🥰
Always love your videos, hope to see more in the future!!
Thanks so much!!
Many more years of vids to come!
Wooooow this is a huge store!!
I’d love to do buy all the used cloth and fashion show at home lol always enjoy thrift shop series❤ Thanks for finding a great spot and sharing with us🤩
Wow, I've toured many book offs during my stays in Japan, but never seen one this huge! Totally have to go to it on the last day of my future trip there, haha!
This video made me realize - if you want to get to know what a person likes, bring them to a thrift store! Lots of nostalgia and options that aren't just whatever's popular right now
Book Off is the best, I love it so much
Norm uploads a thrift store video: it’s a good day. 😃👏 Love these thrifting videos.
This is heaven to me. I would never leave.
Another great video Norm
The surfboards got an audible "oh!" out of me.
I haven't surfed in about 15 years but I still love looking at boards when I go to places that sell them.
It looks like a brand new huge store. Man.. thrift stores in US are not neat and organized. Japan is another level in the world. 👍😊
Awwww, man... That place sounds awesome. Makes me wish I could visit Japan again. Keep up the great videos, Norm.
A sunday blessed by a video of Norm in a thrift Store, Love iit!
A thrift store live stream with Norm would be insanely awesome
Cant wait to hit up a couple of these shops next time I’m in Japan. Always looks like a great time
they are all sooo good!
Hi Norm! Always feel happy to see you on Sunday morning!
its the way to be!
I need to visit this! That tokusatsu section was something else, it had everything both current and previous series.
Yay for second hand stores! Thank you for the video 😊
love them so much!
Watching late but I love this. Everything so well cared for and organized. It’s overwhelming! I would definitely become exhausted and leave with nothing😂
Thanks! Great video! Will be great for when I move back to Tokyo next year! 😊
Finally got a minute to watch. I love your energy. I am going to love visiting Japan.
If my room in the early 2000s was a store. This place looks amazing.
omg i love these videos, i hope i will be able visit japan too one day! great video :D
Awesome video bro, I'm surprised you squeezed that whole store in less than 20 minutes
Wasn’t easy 😂
2:02 oh man. Core memory unlocked. My roommate in Fukuoka bought a used N64 in 97 or 98. Two games. Mario 64 and that.
I loved it. Being a bit older, I was just stunned by the N64. And I loved the soundtrack for Waverace
Happy Sunday Norm!
Really glad I saw your video we went in November and really enjoyed it.
It's so well organized! Very pleasing to the brain.
Man I wish the Bookoffs where I live were like that…
Every time i see a video of yours it makes me want to pack up and head to Japan.
This is so exciting and I'm so jealous
I can't wait to go to Japanese Thrift stores again! Only three weeks to survive until I'm back! The one we usually go is also pretty huge and it has a nice view of Mt Fuji
thats super soon!! Exciting!!
Can't wait to try out some thrift stores when I come to Japan in December
I want to go retro game shopping in Japan soooo bad. It just seems like such a blast. Their selections are so massive and the prices for games there are generally much more reasonable compared to most western countries. But also, as a huge Dragon Ball and Gundam fan, it’d be hard not to just go ham with buying stuff. I’d have to exercise my restraint while in Japan haha.
Loved the electronic stuff & the Bass Guitar sections, & the Toys....
Subscribed just to promote the channel, it is a lot of effort you put on these videos! Planning to get a sailing license, found your channel, ended up watching weird summer tech in here hehe. Congrats
Thank you! Going there right now 👍
I'm so glad you pressed the typewriter keys. I so wanted to hear that noise.
The Movies and CDs and Books sections has me drooling. I go thrifting every day, but we just have Goodwills around me and they have nothing on thrift stores like this.
Thanks for Thrift Store tour! There were a lot of interesting stuff! Pokémon cards, games, toys and other things.
AWESOME! You could go on holiday there!
What a great store. It all looks like good and usable stuff as well 🙂
I miss Japan so much bro
Must visit now!
This is going on my list of places to go to on my next trip with at least half day dedicated to wandering the isles
I love how excited you are about the robot! XD
Thank you very much for showing me all those toys 😊❤️
That is an impressive collection of everything
Love these thrift store videos! I would be on the struggle bus trying to figure out what to bring home. 😂
Oh I'm definitely stopping by this thrift store in a few weeks!
Woah! Another Thrift Store Video 👏👌
reseller paradise!
