Leaf tip: Use 50/50 air circulation. First turn the recirculation on and the push again and hold the button until it starts to flash. Now it recirculates 50% of the cabin air and takes 50% fresh. 😊
Yes I always use that in winter :)

Great video. I have a Leaf 40 KWH. Just ordered an E+ and the leasing price made it an easy decision (Sweden). The Leaf is a great car and people shouldn't overlook it with the flashier options out there. If they just updated the interior....

It's always a pleasure to see you've made a new video. I always enjoy your videos. Here in the US Midwest we have a severe lack of EV infrastructure and watching your travels always brings hope that an EV future can be realized. Here in Ohio it seems we're still living in the 20th century. Due to the lack of EV chargers here I had to purchase a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime (PHEV). I used to lease a 2014 Leaf S but had to return it due to its limited range Air Cooled battery and lack of chargers here in the area.
But, I hope to purchase a pure EV one day when prices come down. Keep the videos coming! Thanks!

Here's a top tip for Nissan.
Why not use the battery as a heat source for the heat pump or make it switchable. So it can also cool the battery thereby in the summer.
Keep the battery cool on roadtrips in winter AND the cabine nice and toasty warm
I think, it will be interesting, to make this test with the SR+. With the recent price drop, many people are going to go for the LR and SR +. It would be interesting for me to know the difference, in this type of situation, between the LR and the SR +.

No idea how the recirculation is set up in this car or in cars in general. But, if it's cold like that you shouldn't have any problem with foging in recirculation mode. Air is extremely dry in these conditions. But CO2 levels and smelliness might rise in the car, making you unconfertable and sleepy. The 50/50 setup I read in the comments would be perfect in these conditions :) ....Nothing as bad for fogging than our Belgian winter conditions where it's coldish but even not freezing and it's super humid outside raining all the time. You get in the car and you are damp, the car is cold, and everything fogs up in seconds and you have to run the ventilation on full preferably with ac on to help to get rid of the moisture in the air.
After so many hours of bjorn videos, I never saw a policeman 👮♂️ in the road ! Are there any road blocks in Norway 🇳🇴, here in Greece we have them every day ! Thanks 🙏 for the hard work and content.

No, you won't find many police road blocks in Norway. They do check for driver's license, seat belt wearing, and/or drunk driving. The most common check is when the school season begins; the police will be visible around schools and very active (speeding). Many people get tickets and/or lose their license during this period. When the holidays are over and a lot of traffic is expected the police will check and control traffic a lot more. You might encounter police and the DMV conducting checks for insurance; they set up portable, automatic license plate readers along the road and scan passing cars. The police will intercept further down the road. I've been checked 2-3 times over two decades, but only to check that I was wearing my seat belt or that I had a valid license.

In Greece police are checking everything every day, the rate of fatal road accidents are amongst the highest in Europe, they try to implement road safety sessions in our schools for the upcoming year. Also the fines are huge for drink and drive and fatal accidents are in decline. I've seen many videos in this channel and gives me the impression that road safety is really in high standards. And the Model 3 SR+ is even more efficient than your "Model 3" :) can't wait for my 2021 SR+ delivery end of february. Swapping from my "old" 2020 SR+ without heatpump. In Germany the Model 3 2021 SR+ costs only 34.970 € after 6.000 € environmental Bonus.

Just wondering, have you done a propper comparison test of Eco mode and non eco while driving the Leaf? I never use Eco mode in long distance driving on my Leaf, I find it consume less as the car can coast more in normal driving mode.
Hope there will come some app for my Polestar 2 (don't think there exist one yet, right?).

Could you make a video in MC Hammer to make a comparison between model 3 with heat pump vs no head pump?
Tesla efficiency is amazing! I wonder how anyone would buy an id.3 MAX for instance, nearly the same cost as M3 SR+, less efficient, though at warmer temps it probably won't make much difference ? M3 is also a lot faster and chargers faster on DC.
BY the way was this comparison with the m3 with heat pump ?

@@douglasalanthompson Leaf Plus is around 38 K Euro's here in Ireland, the tax we pay is a joke. Screwed by the Government, screwed with income Tax too, real joke.
Id.3 life is around 37.500 Euro's here for the basic model.

I think it's weird to compare Model 3 with Leaf and ID.3.
We see that the Tesla has more aerodynamics design than the other two which are taller and slightly angular. How about taking the new Hyundai Ioniq EV, and driving it through the same test? Two electric cars with almost the same design siliwet ...

It's not weird at all. Model 3 costs about the same as ID3, e-Niro and Leaf.

@ Bjørn Nyland Hi again. Here we are not talking about whether they cost the same or not, here we are talking about aerodynamics. The Tesla is flat and smooth compared to other cars. Audi E Tron and Volvo XC40 Ev for example have high consumption but Hyundai Kona EV has much less than the two etc.

In America, the Leaf has been much cheaper than the Model 3 in terms of Nissan offering Nissan cash rebates and the federal government tax rebate. That said, the US doesn't have a reliable charging infrastructure yet so would only recommend this car for daily trips until that changes. It's nice to know there is a buffer at 0% battery in an emergency.
