Yeah the HIMARS system is nice and all but, without any type anti-shovel capability it's just not going to win any friends. You just can't beat a good russian shovel these days, as I believe the results speak for themselves.

I see that you are either very niave or not very bright.
You do now that unlike this Propaganda piece, 🇷🇺 has destroyed HIMARS systems and now the HIMARS are being used to target civilians in the DPR capital targeting markets during the day.
Those are US soldiers who are doing this as it takes a long time to train 🇺🇦's on the System.
Maybe the Fascists have a say in targeting civilians and not the US commitimg war crimes.

    • @DartXL
      @DartXL Před 2 měsíci +3

It is possible to replace the six tubes of the HIMARS and get a launcher to launch one MGM-140 ATACMS. But hypothetically, it is also possible to replace the 12 tubes of the Smerch wheeled launcher (after modification called Tornado-S) with a pair of long-range missiles, and then it would be the Iskander system. So there's not much difference. The problem is that Russia has many more missiles and launchers, and their accuracy, range and effectiveness are the same or even better.

The closest MLRS system comparison you can make to the HIMARS in terms of range caliber and accuracy is not the SMERCH but the Russian 9A53-S Tornado. The Tornado has a higher caliber rocket than the HIMARS (300m to the HIMARS 227mm), has more tubes (12 compared to the HIMARS 6 tubes), Outranges the HIMARS (120km/72 miles to the HIMARS 80kms 43 miles) and is as accurate with each having an error for accuracy of between 5-10m. Russia also has a plethora of these with brigades formed with these with each brigade having 48 launchers each.
It breaks down like this: 1 brigade has 4 battalions, each battalion has 3 batteries with 4 Tornado launchers per battery, each with its own ammo supply truck equipped with a crane and carrying 12 rockets. That is a hefty amount of throw weight and accuracy that the US cannot even come close to comparing to logistically. In half of a brigade salvo you would have 288 300mm rockets coming at you with a maximum range of 72 miles. That's insane. And Russia has several brigades of these.

Lie of omission N1 Himars Need a system of guiding with out its blind and cant shoot Smerch can shoot as an artillery (btw it is an rocket artillery so in aim department it is lacking) Lie of omission N2 Himars are faster to reload true but needs daily militance if you add it to time that it dose not operate Smerch is better as it have more on operating time. Lie number 3 i have seen how Smerch are reloaded by hand it takes longer but possible Himars on other hand is not the case. Lie N4 Smerch and Tornado are different machines not different rockets systems or machines. Also Smertch reload is 16 min by crane tho people from front say they can do it in 8 if scared.
And Lie of omission N5 Smerch is rocket artillery it is meant to be used in a burst of fire not for precision but making grids on map void of life , Himars is an Missal launch system for precision strikes to cut of parts or kill stuff on small pockets. They are totally different beasts

I don't like comments. I'd rather have a choice of subtitles.
I find it a bit "ridiculous".

Hahaha, just in the last week 3 HIMARS were destroyed. And the Smerch is an OLD system, not comparable with HIMARS. Russia's equivalent MLRS is the Tornado-S and when you want to compare ATACMS to an eqaivalent its the Iskander-M, which outclasses the ATACMS in Range, just like the Tornado-S also has a better range than HIMARS. Your research SUCKS.

Pretty bad video. Forgets to mention a lot of things, and doesn't bring a fair and objective comparison.
Ex; He says GLONASS is bad.... but doesn't provide data why, maybe it was worse, at launch, a decade ago, but now...... It's just an assumption, without a source.

How can you compare something that you have never seen, even admitting you don’t know 😮
    Propaganda agenda. 🎉

Hilarious how america thinks all their 80's tech is better than Russia's "made in battle" hardened 20's tech that is generations of ahead of anything american, america still uses the tomahawk while Russia has hypersonic missiles with counter measures.

...and turrets that reach the stratosphere to see the enemy better.
