Judging from the usb port beside the raspberry pi LAN port, i think it it uses the Raspberry pi to read usb files at full usb 3.0 speed while streaming the files through SMB(Server Message Block) to the PS2 via LAN cable for OPL to read If you didnt know PS2 uses USB 1.1 which is ridiculously slow for games, it took like a full minute to save a game as well as loading, plus lags in cutscene

Yes its possible but a USB 3.0 Stick would be faster than the micro sd.
