- Peeling potatoes is very easy. There is no need to figure out other ways to peel a potato. In fact there is no need to peel them at all.

You forgot the method where you ask the potato to lay down on the couch and tell about it's childhood, building up trust until the potato opens itself up to you.
No. We don't hold truck with couch potatoes around here.
😬
My brain read this with his voice
What about asking a potato out for a date assuming she or he depending on what gender your potato has'd not reject you and it'd eventually lead to greater relationship what means potato'd open up to you as well just in more romantic way?
@@sadge6873 Buddy, that takes a long time, and I'm trying to make dinner. Romancing a potato usually takes at least a few nights out, unless you're with something a little less classy like instant mashed potatoes.
Large Hashbrown Collider needed to further explore potato physics.
It's just like your everyday spud cannon, but government-funded and 27km in diameter!
Quantum Starch Particles.
Atomic Peeling of the Starchicle has allowed for 90% peeling efficiency in nuclear power-peeling stations. Worries of nuclear fallout from unstable Potato-Peel decay has even reached the White House!
Plans to decommission all current and future power-peeling stations are underway!
Could this be the tipping point for all Starch Science across the Farmers Field?!
Tune in next time to figure out whether your son could be peeling potato’s to send secret encoded messages to commies! (Or having a rouse with Starchsexual perverts such as himself!)
Carbology with the specialization in potato sciences. ❤
That’s how they found the Hashbrown-Frozen Particle.
instructions unclear, all my skin is missing
Do did not fail. Your a potato
Average untrained Irish child
"your" skin. Im onto you.
@Don't Read My Profile Picture I won't
😂
Also if you dont feel like peeling your potatoes and you buy them unwashed - the coarse side of the dishwashing sponge is exellent at cleaning them fast and efficiently
you're wasting nutritious dirt that way
@@kngbowser good thinking, dirt is full of anti-oxygens.
@@kngbowser i get my organic dirt from the neighbours yard

How many pets do they have and are they allowed to go outside?
True. I use a (seperate) dish washing Sponge for cleaning (root) veggies as well. People think it's odd, but it's so much more effective, then just rinsing them.
If you are planning to cook your potatoes one at a time, don't buy them in the five-pound bag. They suffer from separation anxiety and will taste of fear and loneliness. Bag potatoes should always be cooked in groups of 3 or more.
And the ones left in the bag feel grief for the potato they lost, and grieving potatoes eventually start to sprout gnarly green and pinkish-purple shoots. Those are bitter, and kill the grief-stricken potato slowly and painfully by draining its innards, so you want to avoid that.
You can also crack potatoes open like an egg, pouring out the potatoe-y innards for easy separation of the skin shell. But this only works if you get fresh potatoes straight from the potato coop after an adult female potato has laid the baby potato.
I've learned a lot about cooking and potato physics. Thanks for the video.
Idk why the "you couldn't peel yourself if you tried" made me laugh so hard 💀
I've actually found that the BLUNT side of a knife works surprisingly well for peeling vegetables - you angle the knife TOWARD the direction you're cutting (like the knife is falling forward on its face as it runs forward) and scrape the outer layer off. Primary downside is it tends to mist you with vegetable juice. So, just wait until the heat of summer to peel your vegetables and then it's an upside.
Used to peel steamed potatoes with the back of a paring knife all the time. I had to fight my boss to keep from having that knife sharpened.
Especially carrots.
Ah yes. "Now I can peel a lemon this way!" 5 minutes later: *screaming*
Alternatively, peel potatoes near your laundry that needs to be starched
@@adde9506did you use the blunt side of the knife in the fight
Potato skins on fries are divine, potato skins in mashed potatoes is a crime against humanity on par with raisins in carrot cake.
I shall now devote my life to fully understanding potato physics. It’s an area in which we still have so much to learn.
You can also impale some unpeeled potatos to scare every other potato into peeling itself.
Missed opportunity for potato teams with shirts vs skins.
Also, the sharper your pile of knives is, the more likely your potato is to peel in one throw lads! ;D
For sure. I remember being super frustrated when it was taking me two or three throws to get the knife-pile technique to work, but after a quick sharpening and some more practice I finally got the hang of it! Dedication pays off!
Now I know why my potatoes are all scratched up when I peel them now…Its because I haven’t been using shaving cream on em
You might also consider switching your razor to this video's sponsor, Henson Shaving. Upgrade your potato peeling to aerospace-grade :P
Let’s also not forget the method of getting someone else to peel the potato for you. That is my favorite.❤
Nona is that you?
I don't know if this is written by just one person, but their ability to keep these videos fresh after so long is incredible. Keep up the awesome work!
What is method #13?
Broom.
Has anyone ever tried with asking nicely?
Right after birth, still undressed
Newton's Cradle was the 13th method - I counted.
Wang jangle the potato until it peels
Everyone asks, "how do I peel the potato?" but nobody asks" how do I feel as a potato?"
I'm having a blast imagining how much fun it was to build that Newton's cradle and even more so when that whole peeling-with-a-drill scheme actually panned out (at least long enough to get the clip that makes you look like a genius).
Thanks for this video, I was doing it all wrong - I thought doing icebreakers with my potatos would help them come out of their shells - but I see now that they're just thick skinned.
I think it’s time to switch my major from history to potato physics
Fully onboard with accepting the potato as it is - definetly not because i'm lazy
Just bond up with the potato, get to know each other, fall in love. At some point the potato will undress herself.
Now you can draw her like one of your french fries.
Very _apeeling_ way to peel potato! Thank you!
Have you ever be bored at peeling potato normally that you accidentally made a Newton's pendulum? xD
Potato physics just might be able to find us another habitable planet
Thanks for the help! I was using a broom!
This guy's videos are like the april fools version of every other cooking videos
Lmfao I always imagine him filming these videos at home and it makes me laugh. Like that potato nudist colony scene. Can you imagine someone walking in on a dude video taping beach-going potatoes? If he has a significant other or roommate, I wonder how many ridiculous scenes they have walked in on
I usually make a small hole in the potato after pealing, putting a teaspoon of gunpowder and detonating it from a corner of my kitchen. The potato automatically blows up into french fries ready to be eaten.
This is a very advanced and very american way of cooking.
I find it's easiest when the potato is first born and you just have the doctor peel it but personally I would rather let the potato grow up totally intact and decide as an adult if it wants to be peeled or not.
I sent my potato to a therapist and even though it's the most expensive method, the therapist peeled back the emotional layers for me!
I applaud such varied and advanced techniques in potatoe skin removal and physics. i look forward to your work in tomato 🍅 🤓
Hahah. Man I was really hoping that you will add waxing a potato as another option.
I guess there is part 2 coming up with so many more ideas in the comments. 😅
One of the best channels out there. So simplistic, so funny, so creative
Thank you for expanding my potato peeling knowledge and for bringing a little sunshine and laughter to my heart.
What am I doing, its almost 2 in the morning, I have a test tomorrow, and I'm sat here watching how to peel a potato. I'm going to bed.
But thanks.
Finally, a use for my comically oversized Newton's Cradle frame.
If i didn't suck at cooking before i definitely do now
Good to see some classic old technique being used
It’s so relaxing to watch this dude’s video. I watch it everyday at lunch break. Lol.
Hi ysac good to hear from you I have to say I like the nudist Beach potatoes because they are already salted.
That was clever
thank you so much.. its been an emotional rollercoaster on your journey of cooking. I can honestly say hand on heart ... I am a better person because of your videos . thanks
This is the most useful video on youtube. Thank you!
this chef is legend, i am subscribing everything he offered, let's go!
This is the best video I have seen so far in CZcams!
I NEEDED this video.
Life has gone so crazy and the future looks bleak....but omg. That is one peeler you got there!
I’ve never seen so much effort put into so short a video
Thank you. I’ve learned so much. I love your videos
This cooking channel hits diffrent
This man is a genius!
Newton's Cradle requires hard objects of similar if not identical mass to transfer the energy and momentum from one side to the other with minimal losses. So make sure your potatoes aren't baked before doing that, otherwise they'll squish.
Raw red potatoes, got it.
Life changing. Thanks !
감자 깎는법으로 이렇게 웃을수 있는 영상이
매우 흥미롭고 재밌었어요🤣👍
당신의 영상은 항상 재밌는 반전이 매력인것 같아요 최고에요^^
Have you tried scaring the potato out of its skin? It takes some practice, but works really well.
😂 passive aggressive statements are always a good idea!
I always come for the cooking tips, but stay for the comedy. this is better than actual new comedy shows
These are good ways to peel a potato thank you
"Well, I guess you've noticed something strange about dad.... But I'm still dad." 😅
🤣🤣
So much to learn indeed my friend
I love this guy.
I needed this information
Thank you for enlightening us
you cleaned well today, im proud
Thank you for the videos
Frog off, you're now my favourite cooking show
Finally, I’ve finished every YSAC video up to here!
Thanks for this great video. From today onwards I aspire to become a potato physicist to aid the world in understanding the dynamics of potato.
There is 1 thing i dislike about your channel........I have to wait a long time for new content!! Love all that you do!
The potato nudist colony will stay with me for a long time.
Newton's potatoes are also critical for making shoestring fries.
This is funny. Love it.
You can also leave the potato out in the sun until it gets such a bad sunburn its skin peels off.
Yay I saw some cutco! I love my cutco knives.
i still wonder what his secrets are. his in-depth knowledge of editing, camera tricks, and stop motion is amazing
Fascinating🥔
Awesome video.
One of Paul Simon’s more obscure songs
Amazing video
Coincidentally, I was thinking of you publishing a video yesterday!
Im definitely using the drill method from now on
I’m not sure what having herbal gloves has to do with potato physics, but I’m only on my first course, so maybe I just haven’t gotten to that part yet.
i remember watching you as a kid!
This guy is a menace, and I'm all for it!
It was very silly, but it was fun to watch
Waw I like this content is just up my alley
Thank you!
If you don't like peeling potatoes I have a recipe where they end up like they are cooked in fireplace embers. Wash unpeeled potatoes and leave them in the water. In a bowl mix 3 spoons of flour, 2 teaspoons of sweet paprika and 2 teaspoons of salt. Throw one potato at a time into the bowl so that it coats completely (potato needs to be wet to begin with). Put coated potatoes on a baking tray, into the 200°C oven for at least 40 minutes, up to 60 if taters were on the bigger side.
Creamy and delicious, serve with butter and salt
Thank You!
I like the drill. That's pretty cool. But the day "they" said the peel was nutritious I never peeled another potato.
Nailed it!
Ah yes, Potato physics my favourite area of study. I've been preparing a thesis on Potato being used as a replaceable cell and the newtonian motion of potato underground during it's growth phases.
P.S. Potato can actually be used as a small low voltage DC battery XD
I'm not fully awake yet and just watched a fever dream so thank you for that.
That was so much fun! 😅😊❤
PRICELESS!
I tried to peel a potato once, and it ended up looking like a Picasso painting. Who knew potatoes could be so abstract? 🥔🎨
Thank you
The potato drill was actually genius
I came here thinking I would find a better way to peel potatoes. I learned nothing yet I was fully satisfied.
Very educational
You forgot guilt tripping a roommate into doing it for you
