I Ran 365 Marathons In 365 Days

  • Would you run a marathon? Maybe you’ve run a few? What about running a marathon every single day?
If that sounds completely crazy, well - we would agree. But Gary McKee did just that - every day of 2022.
Gary ran a marathon each day for an entire year, but his steps were driven by more than just personal drive. Every mile was to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. As days turned into weeks, his ambition transformed into a town-wide movement. With New Year's Eve as the grand finale, the community came together like never before with hundreds of supporters rallying to celebrate with him at the finish line. The result? A united community, countless inspired morning runners, and a staggering £1 million raised.
Witness a story which proves that with determination and the right support, anything is possible...

Hello! This is incredible we were just talking about this at work the other day. Thank you for the effort you put into your videos and awesome job Mr. McKee. I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a video on the images they produce for when children go missing at a young age and what they would look like if you saw them today? I was grabbing my paper the other day and say this and got to wondering more about the process for determining the way they would look and if you gave them a picture of yourself young how accurate it would be to how you look today. It also made me wonder how often these pictures are successful and families reunited or how many children are in the database still yet to be found. Also, how are these systems set up across the globe? Thank you for listening to my idea. Wishing the best for everyone!

Not necessarily. Candice Burt just set the world record for most consecutive ultramarathons - 50K+ every day for 200 days. She had many injuries come up but dealt with them as they came (she has a background in massage therapy). James Lawrence first did 50 ironmans in 50 days, and then a few years later did 100 ironmans in 100 days. His book reveals that not only was he injured for almost the entirety of his 50/50/50, but leading up to the event, his coach had him train in an injured state to get his body used to it, because they knew it would be inevitable.
