God bless you and your 78 years of age. Thank you for sharing! I might as well get in the NC750X Club. The more I hear and read about it from experienced riders the more I'm convinced I want one. It's such a great mule. Time proven reliability, mechanical simplicity, highly functional/practical and relatively inexpensive. Salutations from Canada.
Daniel I’m only 72 so it’s great to see you still riding at 78. It keeps you young! I also purchased a Honda NC750X 6 speed last fall and I love it. Givi top and side bags with a center stand and Givi touring screen, and I have the perfect short touring machine IMO. Also have two big Triumph 1215 cc Triples and they are for long distance riding ( 2016 Explorer XRT, and 2017 Triumph Trophy SE ). Good luck with the NC, and look forward to further updates. All the best from Wisconsin!
I traded down from a VFR1200x DCT last year to my 2021 NC750X DCT due to advancing years as well. The Crosstourer just got too heavy to push around the drive. Make sure you get the Honda recall done, it prevents any stalling issues and make the DCT even smoother. Mine is now fully kitted up for European travel. With the fantastic fuel economy it won't cost as much on a tour either!
Hi, your story is quite close to mine. I'm 10 yrs behind you at 68. I have a BMW F900XR. Hard to fault in nearly all respects. But getting stuck in a traffic jam my left hand would get fatigued. So, I bought a Honda XADV. The same motorcycle as the NC750X but in different clothing. It is fun, and competent and practical. The BMW now gets more garage time with the XADV getting more road time. DCT is fantastic. The XADV is not perfect as it's actually heavier and longer/bigger than the BMW. Long distance rides are substantially more comfortable on the Honda while as expected mountain roads are more enjoyable on the BMW. But it doesn't feel right having the BMW sit in the garage rarely used but at the same time hugely respected. That's how good the XADV is. Unfortunately Honda does not sell the XADV in many markets. Good luck and we're both fortunate to be in the position of having two excellent motorcycles to choose from. Cheers,
I now understand why you 200 followers. You managed to say nothing about the bike you ride and only talked about the bikes you have owned. Not one word about the Honda Good luck, but.....
I didn’t know much about the NC750X at that point having only ridden it twice. I knew what I hoped and thought it would be and I talked about that. Check the “800 miles” video for things I learned after riding it for a while. 😊

I'm 75, downsized from a 2018 Goldwing DCT to a 2022 NC750X DCT. Fantastic bike.
Love your comments and agree switched from Kawasaki ERN 6 to Honda CTX700 for the same reason keep coming with the video’s 🏍👍🏍
Congratulations on the new bike bro. You made the right choice that works for you 👍👍

I'm about to start riding my new NC this spring and expect it to meet all the expectations I have read about it for months now.
For every same reason I am now at 30k on my 2016 and am so happy with my NC I have quit looking at new bikes and use the extra time to ride.
Words of wisdom!
God choice , i made a "downsizing" from Africa Twin CRF 1000 to the new Nc 750 X and it was the right decision.
I belive the NC would be the better choice.
