Love to hear that old Fire Station Siren :)
I do too! I wish they were still commonplace :(
That's right! I remember hearing my towns & the ones across the river in NJ. Not any more ☹️
They get the adrenaline going for sure
We play ours even though we have pagers, it's a traditional thing.

Fascinating how quickly fires spread in the US.
Tough job when you're already behind the fire 8 ball. Protect exposures, surround and drown, best you could do. Nice video also.
Surround and drown for sure.......
i know it is kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch new movies online?
@Talon Andre Flixportal :D
@Douglas Abdullah thank you, signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it !
@Talon Andre you are welcome =)
Really great video. Those depts are lucky to have you document these fires. I watch a lot of videos like this and it was super awesome to see the firefighters actually hustle. In a lot of the other videos they just walk around like it's no big deal. Too bad you didn't catch the water on your lens, but still awesome coverage. Thank you all for what you do!
These were the best firefighters I’ve ever seen. The surely worked very professionally and with a great sense of urgency. I’ve seen a lot of videos where this is not evident but I obviously am not aware of all of the circumstances involved.
From a little town called Arnold in England prayers and thoughts with you... Well done all FDS. ..
Its a little town in southwest Pa.
From the US with love. Cheers
The Arnold in Nottingham? If so then I’m also from Notts in England 😊
I will say you take great videos!
That was one hot fire! Felt it all the way on this side of the monitor in Wisconsin!
OMG THE STUFF NIGHTMARE ARE MADE OF ❤❤❤
Awesome coverage. Hey these are some hardworking FF in heavy wind conditions.
Wow😲 What an intense fire...the high winds didn't help, either. Great fire fighting response!! Excellent video footage👍
There were no winds. Only the air inflow into the fire to replace the vacuum caused by the rising smoke column.
And air contains oxygen by the way. Fire needs oxygen to survive. It's within the triangle. It's this positive feedback loop that makes fires grow out of control.
“Get out of the alley”. And I’m going to walk right down the alley I told you not to walk down
If.... he was the I.C. doing his 360, I could understand why he was going down the alley, BUT, it doesn't take that long to put turnout gear on.
@@edloeffler9769 Looks like he had some sort of camera
He’s the city of Arnold’s assistant fire chief
Man that place was rockin! Your house siren blows forever, we only get 1 cycle. Is that a Sutphin tower I see? You all had your work cut out for you, great job. I love your videos, always puts me right back on the fire ground. God Bless...
Another great video. And a friendly reminder to wipe you lens of water from all those hose lines.
Kudos to this department on getting water on this fire as fast as they did. Great coordinated response.
It was game set and match before they even started.
Full 4 minutes in having a 1-3/4" hose throwing water in a fire this size it`s..curious...
Amazing work from both you and the fire dept, im amazed and shocked all at once……
Great job on the video!!
I disagree. The camerawork is quite poor.
Pretty crazy first 10 minutes. Good job.
If you’re gonna do this, check out The Majestirium1’s channel. He really knows how to film firefighters.
Jeff Stang is worth watching, too. And so are Skyler Fire or the FDNY Response videos. For someone interested in watching firefighters in Germany, check out Emergency-Report.de, Shooter-Media-TV, WupperVideo or VN24 (Accidents only). There's quite a number out there!
@@jurgenkuhlmann9194 Good suggestions.
Jurgen, William, hello I am on JJ/Magistiriums channel too x
@@joannawinterbourne6439 ...listening to that New York accent on FDNY's radio!
He gets some great video. How he gets up inside the operations like he does is unreal. I'm surprised how he can just walk around that close in some fdny operations and not get kicked out more.
This was some great footage of this fire. These guys really are hustling fighting this fire. This was way out of control before their arrival, you could see fire coming out from the basement window at the beginning. This being a old home was a real tinder box. It always seems like an eternity when you are waiting for the cavalry to arrive.
I think that is just debris from the window above and not the basement but your right it is a ripper
It probably started in the basement!
Every volunteer gets a hose but it might have been a good idea to use a couple to protect the B exposure a little sooner. Main fire building was already gone.
Great Response, great fire attack. Glad to see the truck in early operation!
Thank you for helping people to blow out the house thank you for all your fire fighters heroes
Prayers for the families involved
Decent response... would have liked to see a couple of 2 1/2 inch lines operating a little sooner. 1 3/4 isn’t going to do much on a defensive fire like that.
great fire catch , just need to slow a bit on the camera motions left/right/up /dwn/. Now this is a FIRE !!
GoPro on my helmet while I take pictures, so lots of looking around...feel free to check out my pics here: facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=FromTheScenePhotography&set=a.2741685469290110&__cft__[0]=AZXx6A0F4zCiY_WXOTtDBSJ4BWRU7GJKbQuIpgmU4kmffAidmtqV3Wd_RG9EAQ5YOc_TEUiojd7sS_LK8GCXnVg-sUFgiTpAsdOK2h0hXFSue0Y2zwdb_3EqmHqRUqBPVp0iYHT5h9jQ8xY6ebRFPEOxUb-tJsCv2aIdDMqSVpdJH4486Y-5jdpnVluMMt1Cc_E&__tn__=-R

So scary .... God Bless all the firefighters 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Excellent video recording job well done cool video.
Good filming, clean the lens once in a while. Were these occupied dwellings or blighted properties?
Thanks, it was just a GoPro mounted on my helmet, so I couldn't see that it had water on the lens until I watched the video. And both houses were vacant.
@@StevenMatto Thanks for the reply, I wasn't trying to be rude. Guess I just pointed out the obvious which, in the moment, one wouldn't be aware of nor concerned with ... LOL Glad they were empty and I hope no one was hurt. Looking forward to more "on scene" videos, Thank you
Yep yrs ago a real nice steel town...still nice on the hill..
I'm from Mission BC Canada. We are also a small area. We have some of the same firefighting issues your area does.
As for the video issues, no complaints from me. What some people complained about, made it more interesting to me.
Start thinking about purchasing a Blitzfire
What a FusterCluck! That is alot of fire. These guys worked hard.
I'm in Worthington PA, and had the scanner on listening to this call.
Fascinating to watch firefighters in action.
In the dark that just looks otherworldly.
damn good coverage! keep it up
3 mins or less when first truck arrived for water to attack fire...darn good..
OMG I have never seen a structure so completely engulfed in fire so quickly. Incredible response.
Old dry wood + strong winds. That old house most likely had a lot of open (void) spaces inside the walls, which allows the fire to spread very quickly throughout the house inside of the walls. (It's called balloon frame construction.)
@@robert20770 eh, it was an old abandoned house, some dickbag prolly set it on fire in many places (and added accelerants)
Great early video
Good job
Did they save the exposure?
Lots of confusion, but looks like they got the job done. They had a good water supply which is a big help!
Keep working on your recording skills.
The second structure was severely damaged before anyone arrived...pretty sure it was a total loss, too.
thanks
Awesome video ( clean the lens so now and than)
Homes should have never been built so darn close together. That’s so horrible. I know they’re close like that all over. But in such situations there’s no chance it won’t involve multiple homes. You can’t have much privacy either being so close.
Love your comment and many places today have set-back minimums for structures including outdoor sheds. A lot of building codes have changed in the last 80 years.
Please tell me that was not a 1-3/4” they stretched to the back on arrival. And what is with the hose looking thing they are operating from the bucket? Lots of yelling helps too.
That certainly was a 1-3/4” followed by a 2nd one.
But to be fair, that first arriving Quint most likely has only two cross lays, possibly a third.
It probably doesn’t carry much more than 250 gallons of water, 300 at the most, so without securing a dedicated water supply it doesn’t have the capability to supply and sustain one attack line of any diameter, let alone three attack lines.
I’m assuming you’re thinking they should have led off with a 2-1/2 and I would agree except for a dedicated water supply not being established yet.
It is a common problem throughout the fire service that members become conditioned to stretch the 1-3/4 on every incident, regardless of whether it matches the size of the fire.
As for the hose line in the bucket, I’d have to guess it’s a short length of 1-3/4” that can be operated on hot spots on a roof or areas hard to reach from ground ladders.
That particular manufacturer mounts the master stream nozzles on the outer sides of the bucket rather than to the front and center.
My guess is since the main isn’t rotated much, the 2nd master stream nozzle isn’t able to be used so they used the short hose instead.
Now this is the way we roll too, but I have never, never understood, why you lead the attack off the truck. Yes with quints as common as they are now, with ever increasing performance, our new quint now having 500gpm more off the pump than our still new engine, it can be done, but then why do we own engines? You got several crosslays, 1&3, 2&1/2, 3 off the back (sometimes) and a deck gun, a large tank, and a good pump. It can be done, it has been done, it will be done, but I just don’t get it.
God save and bless all firefighters around the world
Many greetings to everyone fighting fire around the world ... We cannot thank you enough for that
Warm greetings from Germany
(translated by Google)
If god did exist, it could avoid the fires...
god bless the worlds fire fighters
Nice vid steve
good job brothers- in certain BIG CITIES the whole city block would have been gone!
I highly doubt that. You do not pat these guys on the back by trying to marginalize " BIG CITY " professional firefighters. First of all the " BIG CITY " FF's would have been there much sooner but aside of that these people did ok. I'll bet you run with a company that gets 50 calls a year and the last big event was Amos's barn.
@@skidude8989 NOT REALLY RIGHT NEXT TO A BIG CITY
Film the fire LOL. Unless you’re working that I get but..
Arson ?
A great fire video is one where you start watching and immediately ask the wife if we have any marshmallows in the house.
This is one of those videos.
LOL!
Big fire needs big water, Great job with initial knock down. I would have pulled a 2.5 or 3" but you use what you have and adjust. Great stop, could have been the whole block
Absolutely a 2 1/2" to start with. Anything smaller is a waste of time and energy.
Idk what people are complaining about, this is one of the best fire response videos I’ve ever seen.
lol
You must have low standards.
looks like the 🔥 started in the back of the house & then quickly spread to the rest of the houses.
This is awesome. Completely surreal with the station siren going
Awesome is not the word I would use.
@@mikeymcmikeface5599 extremely impressive or daunting; inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It’s the perfect word
@@AlaskaInMotion I disagree.
@@mikeymcmikeface5599 I don't think it's productive to get into an argument here but I am genuinely curious, are you disagreeing with the dictionary's definition of the word awesome or what?
@@AlaskaInMotion I believe so - contrasted by the simplified everyday meaning.
Does anyone know if that was a warning alarm going off for a tornado at the beginning of the video? while the fire department was fighting the fire
That’s the hall siren
Glad I don’t live in America most videos I’ve seen from there the firefighters are to slow most never rush to connect the hose but respect for the job they do.
THIS Looks very much like a house my aunt and uncle owned and sold 30 years ago. I remember the inside better than the outside but very close. I think they lived on 4th street but haven't been back to Arnold in years .
Do you know the address?
I'll have to ask my cousin but he was only about 6 or 7 when they moved away.
1410 and 1412 3rd Avenue, Arnold, PA
@@danielebrparish4271 Thanks Daniel. I had checked and this was not the house but CLOSE!!
Like moths to a flame, everyone runs to the big fire wanting to be the first guy to squirt water on a structure that is 100% lost, never mind the exposures.
Not sure there was a real plan of attack at times to be fair.
Usually with housing like this and the close proximity you have to deal with the raging inferno thats attached to it. Lines through the exposure isnt going to do a single thing if the house next door is fully involved. Knock down the extreme fire load to a manageable level and hopefully you can make a dent in the exposure. That alley side had the best access to get big water and have a chance of knocking down that fully involved second floor.
@@hihfty If you look at the wind direction and the gap between the building on fire and the gap to the right there is not much chance of fire spread to the down wind side.
If you look at the building on the left close to the house on fire the is enough room to get a couple of jets to work and give the left hand exposure some protection while you get some jets to knock back the main fire.
Not sure they did any of this in a controlled order to achieve much.
@@andyoxleyonhistravels I agree with you 100%. The left hand exposure is too tight to get any real angle for a fire attack on the main building. Best they could of hoped for was some sort of cooling but ultimately wouldn't have done much in the grand scheme until the main fire load was dealt with. As far as coordination for any of that who knows what was actually happening
@@hihfty Yep.
Difficult to say if things could have turned out much different but I think maybe an aerial ladder with a jet from above may have worked better from above to deal with the left hand exas the fire in that building seemed to be in the upper floor and roof area. Not very easy for crews to access from the front door and work their way up from inside to the seat of the fire.
Wondering if you help on scenes a bit since you were asked to fix turnout gear and were allowed to be that close. Nice job brother. ❤
At around 18:40 what type of window was that?
Sounded like plywood
What took them so long to get the C side hand line charged? Didn't have water flowing until 9 minutes in. 🤷♂️
Good job on wheel pipe
Nice job helping the ff
God Bless them.
Was that a tornado siren going off in the background ?
Guessing this might have started by a lightning strike if so !
No, that's the firehouse siren, about 4 blocks from the fire.
What time roughly would this be from UK,I'm curious
The call would've been at 12:47 a.m. UK time
videoing closer is not always better
I hope everyone is safe
Is the opening siren a city siren calling volunteer crews to the fire?
Yes, it is. Sounds creepy
I figured with the already intense fire, the snorkel truck would be one of the first vehicles there, chocked, and put into operation... "Just keep it right there!"
sad, looked like a cool abandoned to explore
I was hoping these were vacant but by seeing a bed frame in the window and 2 hydro meters still on the wall , I question that.
Both houses were vacant.
the white house beside the main fire appears to have been vacant for years and looks like it may have previously had a fire. 2013 street view shows the windows all boarded up and what appears to be smoke stains around the front door. in the later half of this video you can see the firefighters struggling to break through the boarded up windows on the second floor.
Are they volunteer firefighters or 🚫???🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 because usually I'll be hearing that type of alarm when it's only coming from volunteer firefighter stations.
What was the cause
So....more arson?
Fire crew arrived on scene
I think they did alright for what they came upon on arrival....
Lol..the never ending roof siren gave this a warzone feeling.... great footage nonetheless
Also..all I could think of is collapse zone on Delta side 😬😖🤯
Good job brothers...got the wet stuff on the red stuff.
Way to go
I see lots of compliments in the comments. I learned fire fighting in the Navy we had the fire under control much quicker than this.
whats with the air raid siren from the start to 1m45s?
That's the station siren for this call, 4 blocks away
@@StevenMatto they always give me the creeps for some reason lol
@@StevenMatto Did they have to get the steam up on the pumper too? Is that why it took them so long to go 4 blocks?
@@Roamr1720 same here because we used to do drop drills in school and they would test those sirens on the last friday of every month at ten am. We were always expecting war when we would hear those sirens. They use them in rural areas to notify the volunteers to come in for work
18:23 axe proof window!
They are boarded up windows. House appears to have already suffered a fire many years prior.
Wow
I just hope no one got hurt or killed. Great video though.
Need to learn how to shoot video, its floating everywhere!!!
BIEN TRABAJADO...
Get er done
Did anyone survive?
Any possible suspects in connection to these Fires?
Don't know but both were vacant, one of which did not have working utilities. It's common for a homeless person to break into an abandoned home and build a fire on the floor to get warm, then run away when the house catches fire. Most of the homeless have mental health or substance abuse problems so decision making is not their strong suit.
Damn that was a good fire long before the FD got there. So what time was that fire a 7:47 PM or what? I don't understand why people built the homes so close together that if one home catches fire the other one's do to and the wind was blowing the opposite way.
film was good the best hall now but that and back out my know all keep and you have man
What is the purpose of the fire horn siren? I mean surely fire depts get called and dispatxjed by 911. Is that for volunteer? Even volunteer get calls from 911. I always thought those sirens were for flood tornado or invasion.
Serious wind. Fire service did the best they could , I think.
this guy with the camera...need some Zofran, good grief...feeling lil seasick
Abandoned House?....with Flammable Liquds involved..
Sir we have a water problem
Too bad it's so impractical but I can't help thinking that an excavator on site to pull the walls down so the interior could be sprayed followed by pulling the whole building down and soaking the remnants on the ground. The debris pile would reduce the amount of oxygen feeding the flames and there would be fewer embers spreading through the neighborhood. Knock the flames down, run the excavator over the remains then after the debris cooled down in a few days, scoop every into roll-off containers and send it to the landfill.
Firefighter for 15 years. job well done guys, that was a bitch of a fire!
