People who can be vulnerable on camera are the gems of youtube.

I love this! I am doing something similar. I just haven't put my videos up yet. I want people to see what active healing looks like--what it looks when we are in the thick of it and sometimes even irrational. I have usually been a hot mess on camera--always so sweaty. I just can't be fake. It helps that I'm AuDHD and just can't hide what I'm feeling. I appreciate you doing this so much! I think we really need more creators who show up AS THEY ARE--messy. We are all human and we have human emotions and it's important to see the entire spectrum of human emotion. Especially for men. Thank you. 🙏

True... except for me, I'm real and I payed for that dearly.
9 years of making videos, and I'm not getting much views.
There are some real people out there on CZcams, but the algorithm hates them a lot.

You have a pretty solid number of subscribers and viewers :) I think people already love your videos.

I've been showing "not worrying about it" for 2 years on CZcams, and it's the been the best thing I've ever done for my well-being and self-worth. Every time I post, it's like telling my inner child she is enough to be seen as she is. I'm able to express myself and attract my ideal client, to me this is more than enough. I don't need to be approved of by everyone. Great video and reflection, subscribed!

IDK man, anonymity is powerful and it lets people say stuff while hiding behind it.

2:00 I completely agree. I'm starting a youtube channel ( @andrewwvlogs ) and what makes me nervous is the fact that my personality isn't consistent and it makes me uncomfortable thinking people might only accept one aspect of me, like the fun aspect for example and not the bored or depressed aspect. But hey life's short so i'm just gonna make videos that are authentic to me and serve as a creative outlet.

Well, it depends on the person making the CZcams channel and the purpose of that channel. Some channels do reviews, and that is more like a presentation one would do at work, school, or in the community, so a semi-professional or professional presentation is given if not expected. If it is a more personal channel like a vlog, it is more intimate. I agree with you, we need to give people the benefit of the doubt away-from-keyboard, not just for everyone else but also for ourselves, and that should follow online.

I usually build cameras and edit in my underwear and my wife would nt go for that on my show. My job makes me hot so when i get home im ready to strip and cross my eyes. 😂 ill tell a story that may relate . I was in mc donalds and making order. A family was sitting next to kiosk. Child was crying frantic. Manager was askin whats wrong. Dad said . Manager didnt like the tone so went on about policy and that he and his family could leave. While still the kid screaming in pain. So family is pu to go. Mom goes to the other manager to apoligize. Waiting on my food i asked what happened? Mom said he smashed his finger in bathroom or entrance door. The manager sounded as she was concerned and needed to report as child abuse. The last long one never made it to comments. Maybe TMI is taken as weakness or a way to cast first stone🤷. I like the lighting!🎉Thank You

that's also why there is more content than true honest art. we turned ourselves into products..

Let’s be real we don’t have real emotions. Disconnected, chronic stress, health problems. We tell people to be real but in the most innocent way people are soulless. And when people are “happy” we deem them arrogant or it’s just too much for us, so they don’t get celebrated. Most people who feel “true” emotions protect themselves from this rejection and just enjoy being who they are without the peanut gallery.

Because everyone on you tube pretends to have an amazing life, are great at what they do, they have their life sorted, but most importantly they want to sell you their product so you can be as good looking, sucessful or enlightened as they are.
