Why do you dismiss something you don't understand? Sounds like ignorance mixed in with some pride. There's actually very few of people that think like this. I've been building and riding electric for many years, and I rarely ever run into people who think like this. Typically the ones that think like that don't even know how to work on their own gas bike lol
When we used to use horse and buggies, there was people like you that despise the fact of the combustion engine, nothing new under the sun !

OK your motor is probably 5000 watts / 746 watts/hrs = 6.7 HP and that's is the real power of this Bike. the torque is just awesome in electric motor. HAVE FUN! Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of electric motorcycles. But teaching a beginner on this bike is a mistake IMHO. Beginners need to learn to shift, use the clutch and use a foot brake (yes, I know the Varg can be had with a foot brake). If someone learns to ride on a Varg they won't know how to ride the VAST majority of motorcycles.

Something to keep in mind is that the difference to the YZ450 that is showed at 9:47 not real life relevant.
Due to the gears on the YZ450 you have to take the top power zone of the YZ450 and replicate it several times to the left, once for each gear. With the Varg only having one gear the curve you see, is what you get.
The crazy thing is that even if you consider this, the Varg in the 60Hp setting is still higher throughout the higher speed range, where the power is actually relevant.

I see what you're saying. In theory perfect clutch work could result in roughly flat HP for the yz. Honestly the vargs curve is so massive you'd think they'd gear it down a little.

Can you please explain to us what the CWhlPw stands for?
From? And why wasn't the test in HP instead. Because I only see the bike hitting 68 on the chart in the 80hp setting and the 60 hp setting hit about 64 on the chart.
So the question is. Is it worth the extra money for the 80 hp with minimal hp gain of only 4 hp. It never even showed and 80 on the chart scale. Is that because it doesn't produce an actual 80 hp? But in the 60 hp setting it achieved the 60 mark?
    Please advise

      It's typical dyno units.
Calculated wheel power is what it stands for.
Also, the dyno needs to be setup for electric motors as they behave differently from ICEs.
So add all losses from the motor to the 67-68 whp and you end up in the ballpark of 80bhp.

Bikes looks good, is fast, really fast, much more power than the competitors,
    NOW
reliability test, long sessions, a season of riding with objective data and costs, MUD riding.
The electric mountain bikes really do not like mud or wet riding...not sure about the Stark though, but for sure our experience on the Suron is death induced by mud riding....let see

Wait, what? Can you please publish a chart showing the power setting and the corresponding horsepower/torque achieved, in just plain numbers. I have to admit, I'm a little confused. It seems that the horsepower numbers were less than the power settings (if the numbers along the left side of the graph were the horsepower numbers)? During the runs, you had a little window, in the upper right hand corner, showing some kind of percentage, time, MPH and a curved meter that was too small for me to read. Is that correct? Thanks for the videos.
PS: In any case, it kicks ass against the Yamaha 450, which is no slouch. 👍

Not to talk about an average enduro ride. Electric Cycle Rider channel did one , well, multiple, from hard trail riding to motocross qualifying. It's not terrible, but it's literally hours less than what Stark claim it'll do.
I'm a gas guy, give me a 2-stroke any day over anything else, and I both don't care for 99.9% of electric vehicles, nor do I want anyone forced into buying one or the government forcing me or any manufacturer to build them....but I'd definitely take this bike, and I'd definitely take a Rivian R1T to get it where it needs to go, and I'd definitely take a Porsche Taycan GTS SportsTurismo for my daily....but only because I don't drive more than 200 miles in a shot absolutely ever, and I'd be charging at home....but I definitely don't want to use any of those to drive out of state, and I definitely wouldn't want to "actually" go for AT LEAST a full days trail ride on the VARG(5+hrs, hundred+ miles), it just won't make it without turning back or knowing exactly where you could leave the trail to recharge for that hour+. I could see shorter trail rides and motocross ECT where you either have access to electricity, or a generator in the back of your truck to charge the damn thing..... it's still gorgeous, extremely well engineered (except that one little issue where they're sending out complete new powertrains lol, but at least free and promptly for those bikes already sold), and they're brutally fast.... I mean, this channel doesn't show how ridiculously fast this thing really is, only channel I've seen show how brutal this thing is in 60hp-80hp mode, is the one I mentioned above.... I'd check it out where he first gets his and is trail riding, you won't be upset I can tell you that 😅

How many runs do you get before you see a performance decrease? A Gas 450 will produce relatively the same performance until it runs out of gas, but an electric bike will likely start to drop the power as the battery decreases. Most bikes like Surons will go into low power mode when they get to less than 40% battery power left.
