    Take pictures, video tapes before and after if you live in CA because there ARE clients that will blame you for anything they can---in order to get out of not paying you. Then, when you have to sue you will have evidence. Also, have them sign off on what it is that you are doing and their expectations. I do a test area sometimes. Courts generally side with clients whether they are liars are not. That's why you videotape EVERYTHING. Moving high end furniture for them is a recipe for disaster!!!!

    for regular maintenance ; Grab a good dust mop not that shitty one from the video which is a pain in the ass to use...and a standing scraper blade so you can remove stickers and crap as you go sweeping the floors. Pick the garbage ...Then use the floor machine with a cup of solution and warm water ...run it twice all over the floor and finally grab a dry mop to catch water residue. Put a blower for 5 min ..and you'll be done. Then use a propane buffer machine and those floors will shine like a mother fkr
    .For stripping and wax: start with a good sweep , then apply the stripper solution with a stripper machine and then spread it with the mop , wait 5 min(depending the stripper quality) run the floor machine with cold water scrubbing the area (no pick up) , then use the side by side scrubber for the edges , then use the vacuum to pick up the water . {The purpose of using the vacuum to pick up the water with dirty stripper and not the floor machine is #1 vacuum for floor machine is not protected against stripper solution. #2 Its better for edges.} after you picked up all the solution wash the floor with the clean water from the floor machine and pick up at same time. Mop the edges with warm water. Put a blower for 10min. Then apply wax using just an old style wax mop and not that micro fiber shit. DONE.
    Ive been doing this for more than 10 years every store we visit at the end they love the results but also let us know the ppl who made the job before use this exact procedure on this video with the same machines and was crappy job. They say they never saw the floors so nice , white and shinny until we went there. Thats because we use strong scrubbing. and not fancy looking weak ass machines.

      @@gonzalozuniga8406 Rotobic / Hako 16" or any older Rotobic 16" or similar low speed machine [150-190] will do the job, and for heavy build up around the edges, use the black pad [coarsest one], and tilt machine into affected area to chomp out build up, anything left, use hand scrubber with coarse pad, and scrub like f**k P.S. make sure you use a skirt around base of machine or you will get splatter all over the walls/furniture, etc, and if it drys, then the only way to take it off is with straight stripper using an aplicator but dab it on in small amounts on a non focal point and test first or it can remove paint, varnish, etc if a non compatible surface or when rubbing too hard.. good luck

    • @Dickgoodbody
      @Dickgoodbody Před 2 lety

      @@avarskibostonB1 there are many different brands around the world, depends what country your from... so you can ask shop staff which brand of heavy duty stripper do all the other commercial cleaners use [which usually come in a 5 ltre container].. and as for wax, keep it simple, go for a sealer & polish finisher in 1 otherwise you will have to buy separate containers of sealer as well as separate containers of polish.. this gets costly and clients always like the cheapest quote, good luck

    I watched your video. Thanks for sharing. I am trying to start this busines from Nigeria. I bought some porcelain tiles with the plan to strip, wax and burnish according to the video I watched. But, after applying stripper, the surface sheen on the tiles did not remove. I went ahead to apply floor finish polish, but after 4 days I tried washing and the polish all peeled off. Again, I bought paste wax and sealer. I have applied the sealer, but on the attempt to coat floor finish polish on it, the sealer also peeled off. Right now, I have applied sealer and the paste wax. Although I have not burnished it, it shows no sign of sheen, but it's dull and whitish.
    Please, how can I strip the new porcelain tiles and how do I go about the application of sealer and polish or wax? I have an old, scratched and dirty porcelain floor to fix next week, the floor has not been waxed before. And I want to restore it.
    Thank you in anticipation for your response

      I'm not sure if there's a translation issue here, but I'll give this a go. If you really have porcelain tiles, hard brittle tiles set in mortar and separated by grout, then you do not need or want to strip, polish, seal, or wax those tiles at all. The surface of porcelain tiles is not an applied finish, but rather a glass-like material that is a permanent part of the tile. The only care required for porcelain (or ceramic) tiles is to apply a penetrating sealer ONLY to the grout lines, and then keep the floor clean. It is extremely difficult to grind this surface away, and if you do so, you will have taken decades off of the life of the tiles.
      If you have very old porcelain or ceramic tiles that have none of that hard, shiny glaze left on the surface, it having been worn away by abrasive soils like sand or by poor floor care practices, that's a different story. If there is any wax, sealer, or other finish it must be removed. This is a nightmare job, getting wax out from grout lines is a job many professional cleaners will simply turn down. Abrasive stripping brushes, and strong stripping chemicals are required. To really get the grout back to its original color you might have to follow this up with an acid wash, which is a whole other subject. Once you have the floor clean you want to apply a hard surface sealer, not a wax, which will soak deeper into the surface without leaving as much buildup, and restore the waterproof nature of the tiles.
      If I'm wrong about the tile type, if you have VCT tiles, which are much thinner, still brittle but slightly flexible, and typically set tight together with no gaps, let me know. Those require a different process.
