Hi Nurse Lindsey. I heard about being a Dialysis Tech and did some research and came across your channel. I honestly didn't know much about working in dialysis. I am returning back to school to become an LPN but wondering if I should become a PCT and work at a dialysis clinic while I go to school for LPN. I have always liked the idea of working in home health or hospice care. I cared for my late father at home hospice when he was end-stage cancer and really admired the nurses who took over in his last few weeks. That experience convinced me that I needed to go back to school to become a nurse. Working in dialysis seems like such a rewarding experience. I can see how it affected you when your patient had to go to hospice. You form a bond while caring for your patients on a regular basis, how could it not affect you?
Question...can an LPN work at a dialysis facility or only RNs?

I'm a new graduate and I have an interview for my local dialysis center and I'm curious if me having an issue where I have frequent urination would this be a problem for this job. I pee about 3 times as much as the normal person so I would need a pee break every 2 hours or so to urinate. Would that be to frequent for this job? It wasn't really an issue in the hospital I could always pop in the bathroom quickly between patients.
