My dad is 81 and he recently just started experiencing blood pressure spikes. So they are having to give him meds to lower it. His current weight this morning was 79.22 and he said when he left it was 78. something. I am trying to figure out how we went from him not having blood pressure spikes to now all of a sudden its high. This is scary because he comes home with a bad headache after this. He has been on dialysis for 4 years.

Hello ma'am My uncle has had a temporary catheter for 10 days, but due to his weak heart and high blood pressure, we can't proceed with hemodialysis through a tunneled catheter. We are considering peritoneal dialysis at home. However, the doctor says that permanent tunneled catheter is necessary for hemodialysis, but it might be problematic for the heart. Additionally, the surgery for the peritoneal dialysis catheter will take at least two weeks, during which there is a risk of infection with the temporary catheter. Now I’m unsure what to do. Could you please guide me on the best course of action??
