Happy to help out!! 🥳
...and here i was thinking, all she needs is some JimmyO. Love both your channels, this made my day.
You are a legend good sir!!!
Dude you are awesome! Your channel and Sarah's along with gears and gasoline are the best!!
Thanks for helping out our home girl Sarah you rock brother
Jimmy the best
There are two types of people: ones that have made stupid mistakes, and liars.
"It's running!... Yes!....it's running!", you melted our hearts, Sarah. Congratulations and keep on rocking!
I has such a huge, stupid grin on my faced when I heard that.
I punched the air when it started, such a great feeling 🙃. And I'm thousands of miles away
She certainly did melt them. Nice one.
That was indeed very genuine!
“It’s running … Holy Sh!t” (no squeak-out). Woohoo!
This was the most realistic first start video I have ever seen on CZcams.
That
So impressed by you showing the whole process. Real life not promotion. (Yes, I am an engineer. 🤣)
James May is still lurking in the background, being quietly impressed I’m sure.
I can just hear him every time she had to take that valve cover off saying “oh c*ck”
NAh, even the folks that do this stuff for a living make mistakes like those. How do you think they know to look for them now? They made the exact same mistakes at some point. If a project goes together too smoothly, that's when you get really paranoid that you missed something. lol
This is funny because it also applies to coding as well lol
Yeah, exactly that. Retrofitting a trigger-wheel by eye on a crank pulley vs a machine-shop fit, in my case. Cost me a crank trigger and heaps of time. Help comes from unlikely places: everyone's secretly a petrolhead...
That's because you learn from experience. That's how we learn. No amount of book reading can give you what you get by doing it.
If the gearbox clicks in on the first try, you forgot to torque Rodcap-3
I'm a gearhead of 45 years and I've only had three engines go way too smooth, with total paranoia, but were perfect right out of the box. I built a 455 Olds 442 engine from scratch, all hand built. I did a lot of research on it and built it to be a 450 hp engine and it put out 475 right off the engine stand. Talk about paranoid? But it was perfect. Yeay for our side. The other was a 351 Cleveland in a Ford Bronco that I also built from scratch to put out 400 horsepower and that exactly what it put out off the engine stand. (402) And of course, nothing like that ever happened again until very recently. I supercharged a Pentastar V-6 in my 2018 Dodge Charger AWD with 9,000 miles on it and also added a ported intake manifolds, a Hellcat throttle body, and giant injectors set up for 93 octane, to put out 510 horsepower, and it's puts out 522 to the ground with 14 pounds of boost; in 4 wheel drive. And that, is the total extent of things that went too smoothly and really were. In 45 years. LOL
4:50 Best road sign ever from the Autobahn
I'm super proud of you, you took on a challenge that many veteran builder and tuners would have found challenging and you made it interesting and so satisfying. Thank you Sarah you may not know it but you bring a ray of sunshine into a lot of people's day.
Jimmy O is the man, love that guy! :D .. Congrats on the start up, more good things to come to you Sarah, stay positive!
OMFG. . . I finally figured out why you call your MR2 "Mister Dos!"
I feel so stupid now 😄🤣😂😆
Lmao me too! For months I'm like that's a dumb name for a car. It took a retro episode of Motorweek for me to get it. John Davis was like "this year's Mr. 2..." I was like ooooohhhhhh🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well I am old and I am laughing at you two dorks....
"Señor DOS" has better ring to it!!!
Hearing your voice when it started was pure joy. Congrats Sarah!
I know you worry about content and occasionally get frustrated with your projects/progress but your content is still the most thorough and endlessly satisfying. Love and respect Sarah!
Thank you Jimmy and Charlie. Too many days in a row of non stop work causes mistakes and sometimes injuries. Nobody got time for that!
You got no quit! Definitely admirable.
@Boring Bob - agreed. Word Up
Eyyy Jimmy Oakes is the GOAT! Awesome mini collab. He is def a super solid human. :D Congrats on first start.
Sarah's Mr. Dos is immaculate. Even the studs on the brake rotors are super clean, her shop super clean, her home garage is super clean. Great car Vlogs with quirky ratings with cookies, penguins, and beans. You do it well Sarah
WOO! Cool to see it running. Hey - don't stress over the mistake; you were 95% focused on wiring, which in of itself is something so scary most people wouldn't even attempt. Awesome job!
Not to mention that the harness looks amazing !!!
Hear that? It's raining, so it's going to start. LOL. Love it that Jimmy O reached out to you. That's awesome. So cool to hear him chatting with you.
Big up to you Sarah, for sharing the problems. The only person who has not made a mistake is the one who does nothing
You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed about. The support from your CZcams audience shows how much we appreciate your tenacity and overall “can do” attitude. The major accomplishment is the tremendous job you did with the complete re-wiring. Well done!
I'm sure it's such an amazing feeling to get the MR2 running again. I'm blown away by your attention to detail and you incredible knowledge with wiring it all up. You're amazing, Sarah!!!
Thanks!
Wow! You do have a great sense of humor!
I can't be the only one to notice how excited Sarah got getting it started.
Don’t be ashamed of missing just one little thing, many more would have done the same thing wrong.
You did all the rest correct and the car looks awesome !
Great work Sarah !
I’m glad you were not alone in that moment when Mr.Dos started, especially since it was Charlie. In the long run, you two have a special connection, physical or not.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. You’ve done a whole bunch of top shelf work on the MR2.
Sarah, I identify with you. I stoped counting the times I put the distributor 180 degrees out. Hooray for success.
New Sarah videos are the best notifications.
Always good to see our favorite CZcams - inter-web starlet working her magic on an automobile. Any automobile..... Thanks for your wonderful work Sarah and for making your devoted fans smile..... I could listen to you say buttons and aluminum for hours... No comment on "squirting fast and getting in you hair". I am a gentleman after all... That's what she said...
Congratulations on getting it running!
Just happened upon this video. All I can say is that I honestly had no idea of the amount of electronics involved in the new cars. Hats off to you and everyone else that can tune and work on these cars. Much respect. Glad I watched.
Considering the absolutely massive task you undertook on the MR2 couple of really small errors are nothing, you did it, very proud.
The Honda flange bit was next level… how you did that with a straight face is almost as impressive as your electrical system wiring abilities.
Great job! Congrats on getting the MR2 started!
I’ve been “N TUNED” to your vlog from day one.
It still baffles me just exactly how much work you've put into the re-wiring project. Just massive. I'm in awe since I don't think I would ever take on something like that.
Installing an ECU from scratch is major f’in AGGRO! Glad it has fire in the hole now.
The Honda comment reminds me of the only Honda stuff in my garage. Some white silicone I use on all the window and roof seals is from Honda. Recommended by Mr Miata himself!
nothing to be embarrassed about, that is a hell of a lot of wiring and your attention to the detail is amazing.
I knew that you would do it; one great thing about you is that you don't give up easily. On to the next project!!👍🤗🛻
Still rockin’ it. I’m glad you fcked up AND admitted it in the video. Not glad you messed up, just the way you owned it. Nice job as usual!
That wire management is on point. Well done!
“I was just little confused with my input”, story of my life Sarah! You gave me a good laugh today and seeing you happy made me happy, thank you!
If it started up right away, purring like a kitten, I don't think it would mean as much. The fact that it's sputtered and coughed into life makes me want to see what the tune does to it. Great job Sarah. I'm gonna stay n-Tuned.
Congrats on getting her running! There really isn't much of a better feeling than that 😊
That guy sounds like KITT
Congrats Sarah!! Job well done!!
I am N - Tuned to your personality, quality of videos and all your content regardless of what you are sharing with us! Please keep on being exactly who you are!
Think I lost count of the number times I laughed, in a good way, at all the comments through the video. Really made my day watching this.
Thank you Sarah!
This video makes me very happy. And on a semi-unrelated note, does anyone else hit the like button as soon as the video starts because you know it's gonna be awesome?!?!?!
absolutely - even before the intro starts!
Congratulations on the first start and run. Always a magic moment.
This is one of the videos on this channel my wife can relate to.
She also hates it when I squirt gasket maker in her hair.
Congratufrickinlations on getting Mr Dos idling. We knew you could do it. All the people that helped you get it done are real champs.
I really like your work on the engine bay in its entirety, and that loom is wow , like seriously? I've seen wire harnesses in satellites that weren't even close to that well wrapped and strained relieved. Thanks for your vid
Fantastic! Great job. So satisfying.
Congrats Sarah! Awesome to see Mr Dos fire up after all your hard work! Great job!
Excellent!!! Very happy for you . I've been rooting for you.
Awesome work Sarah...that took some serious work to get to this point, congratulations to the first start after all that work. Now to fine tune it and Mr. Dos will BE a little ripper!
Your videos crack me up. You have a awesome sense of humor.
Years. ago when I was a service manager at a dealership, I had tech that was a genius like you. He didn't always show up on time, but man he make factory looms, trouble shoot any thing electrical. This was in the early 80's when you needed giant breakout boxes to even attempt electrical repairs. Even the factory engineers would come down to visit him. Funny the owner of the dealership wanted him gone, because he wasn't the model employee. Glad I kept him around.
Congrats!!!! So happy for you!
Yay! I knew you could get it running. You rock!
Nice work even though there were glitches along the way. What makes it so interesting is how methodical you are at chasing things down, correcting them and then putting it all back together with so much care and attention to the details.
That's fantastic that it's running. Nothing to be ashamed about our embarrassed about. You're human, and a pretty awesome one at that!
Congratulations! Sarah your persistence will get you through the daze.
You go girl.
Congratulations! Well done.
Absolutely amazing that you did all that wiring and part replacing and you have Resurrected Mr. Dos! Major kudos, Sarah. Wiring is my personal nightmare so I'm majorly impressed.
I have such great respect for you, Sarah. Well done!
Awesome! Congratulations! So happy for you! Great job and some great people for helping you! My wife and I Love your channel!
When its all done it'll be show car worthy.
The sun's gravitational pull will get you every time.
"Gravity. It's the law." - Daniel Western, circa 2002
Seeing you genuinely happy and exited when it stayed running is awesome Sarah 👍👍
I would think given the magnitude and complexity of re-wiring a whole car after replacing the ECU, that it has gone fairly smoothly. Well done Sarah. plus as always, impressive quality of work too. Another step closer to putting her back on the road!!
I'm happy for you!!!
Your a Badass!
Love your attention to detail and honesty.....
I literally cheered when the car started! I love your work Sarah you rock!!
Are you kidding me you’re amazing with what you do. We’re all learning all the time:)
Congratulations on a 1st fire!
You are a legend!!!!
You're so fun. Thanks for sharing Sarah.
IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVE! I love your channel Sarah!
You do such amazing work!!
Sarah I follwed Jimmy because of his z32s , now you need to build one too !!!
I had a Z33 for 9 years before CZcams 😬
I shed some tears because that journey… beautiful minds. Enjoy your channel.
Mr. Dos lives!!! God for you, Sarah!!!
You're hilarious, why can't there be more women like you in this world
There are they are turning on her cam at night. Heh heh geh
@@rsprockets7846 There's always one pisshead
There are, I got two of those ✌
There are, ✌️more in my casa lol
There are Karl, but they don't do streams so they don't have to deal with some of the f-wit comments some of these other wankers pipe up with.
How cool and exciting for you.
Yea! It runs!! Great work!! You are very dedicated!
Congratulations! Your work looks way better than anything from the factory. Your OCD paid off. Hope you're not burned out.
Got my brother -n-tuned to Sarah. I don't know if that makes me a pimp or a shill or a recruiter in the Sarah army.
This comment is incredibly funny good god

@@THESLlCK Sarah brings out the hilarity in all of us.
@@scottbutler2343 since my previous comment’s original publication, I found out Sarah’s birth name was Charles
I’ll leave what you do with that information up to you

I'm in-tuned to you wearing that green shirt 👕. Nice
Hot damn! So excited to hear it run! Awesome work!
What an indescribably amazing feeling it is when the car finally starts. I'm always glad when it happens to me, and I'm stoked beyond measure for you! Best of luck, have fun, other tidings of goodness.
Congratulations !!! Great job ! How fun has this been?
Every time you say "hall effects sensor", Gwen Stefani's song Holobeck Girl lights
up in me brain, hard to follow you after that. Congrats on your success.
I love that song!!!!!!!
When it fired up I cheered right along with you. I love your persistence!
So awesome to hear it run!!!
Hey, at least it was only the fuel line routing, and not something that might have needed another week's work. Congratulations on finally getting it running!
I almost spit my food out when you said stop coming, it's in my hair, that's gross 🤣😆🤪
You got it running, that's awesome!!
Awesome! Congratulations on the start up!!
