There was Idi Amin in Uganda who had a very impressive kill score with human rights groups estimate that between 100,000 and 500,000 people were killed under his regime. And then again, there was the Rwandan Genocide where the top number is 1 million, but many believe it was closer to 800,000. Fun fact: The American Civil War is estimated to have cost 650,000 lives. I could list a bunch of other ones, but it's too depressing.

I'm a black woman who has a considerable amount of different ideas than ppl in my community. I've learned a few things that have helped me along the way.
    1. You can't fight hate or evil with hate or evil.
    2. Communication is key. It's not what you say it's HOW you say it.
    3. Just because something is true to you doesn't mean it's true to someone else.
    4. Don't force your ideas on people.
    5. Find your own people.
    6. True happiness starts within therefore no one has control over it but you.
    7. Don't speak on shit you aren't informed on.
    8. While researching or gaining an understanding, do it with an open mind.
    9. Never ask an idiot or someone who doesn't have success in a topic anything about the topic you are curious about
    10. Don't hang with ppl that are dumber or less successful than you constantly.
    11. Stop giving so many Fs about things that don't matter. It literally serves no purpose.

My grandmother lived through WW2 in the Philippines as a child. She saw inhumane acts the Japanese inflicted on her neighbors and people. She had to take care of her siblings and hide them from being no longer living or SA'd. The stories she told me were horrific and just straight up evil. Decades later, she moved to Japan for my mother and brother. It was uncomfortable for her at first, it took a while to heal from severe trauma, but she grew to love Japan. She holds no hate towards Japanese people. Instead of generalizing all Japanese people, she focused on living a happy fulfilled life that is surrounded by a large community that loves her. She is my role model and the strongest woman I have ever known.

To falter is to be human. Inevitably we will cause emotional pain to others, be the villains in another’s story etc, that is just life. If you went back and undid all your mistakes, you would erase yourself in the process. We grow and as we get older we realise that ‘self’ is a shifting sense of identity tied to particular moments of recollection, but is never absolute. You likely aren’t the person you were when you made your mistakes, so harbouring guilt for them is senseless.

Also, If you look at european(non english speaking)/scandinavian countries, the phrase "good morning" does exist there, too and sometimes it's even super close to the english variant. In German for example it's "guten Morgen" in Danish "god morgen". The word "Morgen" (= morning) is already written down in an idiom at around 1580, which means that the word itself was used long before then and also a good 30 years before slavery in the US even started. Since the words "morning" and "morgen" (and also some other variants) are so close it's pretty obvious that they are from one word family. It's just so illogical to me how you would think that one emerged from morgen, as in start of the day, and the other emerged from "mourning" 😂

@@ninamaxo and also, in Greek, although coming from a very different liguistic background we say the exact translation of good morning which is 'kalimera' , where kali means good and mera means day. So, in a sense, that proves that socially from an anthropological point of view, humans instictively wanted to greet and wish for a good day, so much so, that that the same expression evolved in many very different languages with different linguistic roots. And it's so much more logical! Every human being wakes up, sees the sun (or just the light), turns to their fellow humans and utter this wish for the ongoing day that will be unravelled.

I’m really glad Blaire made a video on this because it’s becoming rampant. When I was in college, I lived in an old historic 6-bedroom house with a friend, and 4 of my friend’s acquaintances. 2 of us were white, 4 were black. Didn’t think anything of it because why would I? A month into living there, I discovered that I needed to leave that liberal university IMMEDIATELY lol. I would walk into the living room during parties they had and they would tell me to go back into my room or leave because I need to allow space for a person of color to hang out / drink. One time I came home with a milkshake and one of the roommates told me I’m racist because I didn’t donate to their GoFundMe and I should’ve donated instead of buying a milkshake. What was the title of the GoFundMe? Help Black Trans Guy Pay For Top Surgery. With the description explaining that because he’s a black trans person that white people needed to donate before donating to any white trans people. Last story I’ll add: I was walking down the street to the gas station to buy a blunt wrap and I saw two guys fighting and one was threatening to pull a gun out. I called 911 and I see one of my black roommates running toward me and he jumped on me and ripped my phone outta my hand. Told me I’m racist if I call 911 because the guys fighting were black and apparently calling 911 on black people means I want something bad to happen to them? I have so many more stories. And let it be known, many of these stories happened because of woke white ppl. Ya know, the ones who apologize to black people for breathing? So yeah. I left that college a few months later lol. Hopefully this comment doesn’t sound racist. It’s really just against whatever the hell those types of people are, any skin color! They all need help haha

"I can't feel guilty for some shit I didn't do. But I understand the reasons why you think that I should. Yeah I'm white but I never put your neck in no noose and I never burned no cross or hid my face with a hood. You can't just label me racist because I'm related to people who did some terrible shit back before I was alive. My parents taught me to treat everyone as an equal. Some of North American history is problematic, because the Natives had struck up official agreements with the colonizers on land division and ownership, and the colonizers subsequently went and stole the land that had been under agreement. They stole all the land that was good to grow food on, leaving the Natives with the crappy land only.
The land I’m talking about was not conquered fair and square, the Natives were screwed over by dishonest colonizers. Imagine you bought a house on a piece of land, and someone came and stole the land that was contractually yours? They didn’t have a Justice system back then so the Natives couldn’t sue the colonizers for not honoring the official deeds. So the Natives ended up with mostly land that couldn’t be used for agriculture; consequently they were not able to thrive as a population.
A lot of this land is currently under government ownership and should be given back to the Natives per the initial agreements. If the land was sold and developed on then obviously it’s too late. I for one am not going to hand over my house and land unless they pay me what it’s worth. But the stolen land that’s still unoccupied to this day should be given back to the rightful owners so they can farm it for their communities.

      If you're interested, here's why:
It's a tattoo design that Māori people have been specifically telling foreigners not to get and instead get a real kirituhi design custom made for them, because although Māori love sharing their tattoo culture, they want people to do it correctly because copying designs and/or making inspired designs is incredibly disrespectful and not representative of a genuine tā moko/kirituhi - the idea of those tattoos is to tell a story about the person who has it and it's very very sacred for lack of better words, and hers is clearly just a stolen mimic tattoo from pinterest so it has no personal meaning to it.

My mum tried her best to comfort me and would try to apply some critical thinking, but my little brain was lost. Now, as a 21 year old. When I see such hate, I chuckle with frustration. Because how absolutely backwards and counterproductive can you be to think that fighting prejudice and discrimination with more prejudice and discrimination will ever fucking help? It’s all about “getting even”.

White guilt comes from ignorance. If you actually had a lot of black people in your life that you associated with you would know we are all just people getting by, all have our challenges and disadvantages. And if you were educated you would know most white Americans never owned slaves and people "of color" enslaved white people too throughout history.

*People can't help being born black, white, Asian or mixed, but they can help being ridiculous or being a 'victim' as a hobby.
*Many black Americans who dislike whites........ likely have some British ancestry.
*Leftist activists don't unite society. They divide it, and thrive on that division. People like Candace Owens and Jessie Lee Peterson are trying to unite society.

So my kids are biracial so we have A LOT of discussions about race. They were mostly homeschooled and our race discussions have always been educational so it actually has shocked me that the older they get the more they seem to be going in the direction of somewhat anti white sayings and things and I do think it is because of their interactions on social media and the brainwashing that’s going on. My oldest is 20 and he has told me that white people are racist if they don’t want to be in an intimate relationship with a POC. Like what? lol. And he basically makes it seem like all white people are racist for everything they do but he does say I am a revolutionary in my family and friends. He has said the same if someone doesn’t want to be with a different gender as well or I’m considered homophobic because I don’t want to sleep with a man who has been with another man. Or transphobic because I don’t agree that trans women are biological women or trans men are biological men. I just don’t understand this mentality and I don’t agree with him, of course.
My now 13 yo daughter, out of the blue one day when she was like 8, and for the first time…declared “I don’t wanna watch THOSE Christmas movies because they have white people in them and white kids are cringe”. I said “excuse me?!” And we had to have a serious discussion right then and there! She still says she doesn’t want to watch certain movies with white people in them but then I will be watching one and she will like it. That’s happened a few times. Though sometimes she will make it seem like she wished she had a black mom, sometimes she will say things like “I am glad you are my mom though because you don’t hit me and I know a lot of black moms hit their kids”. So I think she is conflicted with the information she is receiving from her peers and on social media and that’s why I am glad she is homeschooled because she is less influenced than she would be going to school. But it does seem to be getting harder and harder as she gets older too. At the end of the day I have to just allow them to find things out on their own.
As far as I know, my kids have never been mistreated for the color of their skin. So far anyway. They have never told me anything if it has ever happened. But up until recently I’ve always been around both of them for the good majority of the time since they are homeschooled. My son now goes to college but I’ve asked him and he said he probably has but just can’t remember. Um I think you would remember if someone has mistreated you simply because of the color of your skin if it was to your face! Sigh. And he has plenty of opportunities so nobody has stopped that because he is a black man. And my daughter is still underage and around me most of the time so I know she hasn’t. But as she gets older she is saying more and more negative things about white people and it is really disheartening. I set her straight every time because I think a lot of it she just doesn’t even think through first because after I say something then she realizes it and says “oh, I didn’t think about it like that.”
I try not to feed into it too much because I know she is just trying to find her identity and discover who she is. She does miss having her black side of the family and I’m saddened that she doesn’t see them. (She sees her dad but that’s it. He has a very small family with no kids so she wishes she had black cousins like her white cousins and I understand that). But just tonight I really had to break it down to her all the hate I’ve gotten from a lot of black girls/women over the past 30 years for just being white and dating black boys as teens and men as adults. I’ve gotten hate from white people and cops too. They have pulled us over for no reason and things like that. Home searched for no reason. But I’ve mostly received hate from black women. Harassed, used, my life and job threatened, fired from a job for being falsely accused of racism, called derogatory names and on and on. She was shocked when I broke it all down! The reason I explained this to her tonight was because of something that happened in the McDonald’s drive thru. We wanted some fries so we went thru the drive thru to get some. I love mayo on my fries. And I know the joke. I’ve read I don’t know how many comments calling white people mayo and blah blah blah. So I know the running joke all too well. Well usually when I ask for mayo they give me like 2 packs at any drive thru lol. Well last night this older black woman was working the drive thru and she actually seemed nice when she handed me our drinks but then I asked her for some mayo and she grabs like a ton of it and slaps it in my hand and gives me a smirk. I knew right away what she was trying to say without saying it and my daughter actually picked up on it shortly after too. I didn’t have to say much. She laughed a little. So I had to pull up and wait for our food. As we were waiting, I said to my daughter “I don’t get offended easily, but let me ask you something. If a white person were to say something negatively about your skin color like people say when they call us mayo this and cracker that, wouldn’t that make you feel bad?” So she thought about it and said “yeah, I see what you are saying”. So the woman comes out to tell us they are still making our food. Like how long does it take to make a large order of fries, a medium order of fries and a damn cookie box?! She came out one more time to tell us. It just took way too long and I think she was doing that on purpose! Plus she had an attitude with me but I never said anything because I wanted my daughter to notice without me adding input. And she did. She said “why is she being so rude”? I said “oh you picked up on that too huh?” Then some other lady comes out and is as sweet as pie and gives us our food, finally! I went into more of a discussion with my daughter about racial tensions, history, where we are now, etc. I have fought my whole life for black people’s rights, LGTBQ rights, everyone’s rights and I’ve had some black people mistreat me simply because I am white because there was no other reason. I never did anything to them. So I won’t ever apologize for who I am and things I did not do! I have always accepted and loved people for who they are and judged them by their character and how they treat me ONLY so I have nothing to apologize for! I just hate that these kids are being indoctrinated with hate now on the other side! It’s like when will we come to the middle and say enough is enough? It is really sad when it happens to kids too! I seen a video yesterday of a cheerleading squad that had mostly black girls on it with 2 white girls. 1 of the white girls was in the front and did really well. But instead of finding out her name or just saying something like the 2nd girl did great too, most of the comments were saying things like “Becky actually did good”…”that lil white girl got seasoned by the black girls”. They had to be told over and over again in the comments by the coach to stop saying these things about this little girl and to use her name, which she provided over and over again. Why are adults belittling and bullying kids? Why do we need to belittle and degrade one group of people to empower another? Why can’t we empower ALL kids to be the best versions of themselves to have a better society?!

Racism = ignorance. As a white male I don't get any special treatment, I couldn't get a scholarship because of my skin color or heritage and on top of that I have been treated negatively just because of my skin color more times than I can count. We are all human at our roots, that's what really matters and until we can stop separating everyone into different groups based on appearance or skin color we are holding ourselves back from our true potential as spiritual beings. I have always felt interconnected to those around me no matter who they are, that's why I try to spread as much positivity and love as I can because we are all one in the same and if you treat someone else negatively you are literally treating yourself that way. Hate comes full circle but so does love and until we can all wake up and realize that, our spiritual evolution will be at a standstill if not full regression.
