I studied in India and to this date, we don't have teachers who talk about their sexuality or gender identity or any such personal stuff to students, except maybe their married life. Our teachers dress up in sarees or a shirt and slacks. They don't dye their hair so obnoxiously or go about giving unsolicited information about genitals, gender or vague and nonsensical orientations. To me, it seems like their intention behind talking about gender identity is to be 'unique' or 'different'. Basically a holier than thou attitude. Teachers should be kind and PROFESSIONAL. Not creepy and pr3datory.

you never had those teachers that would always get off topic and start rambling about their husbands or their kids? 😂 my english teacher used to proudly show us photos of his wife + newborn baby because the whole class loved + respected him (he was a really great teacher!) 😁
sexual preferences have *always* been a thing, you just never think twice about it. if your teacher ever mentioned their husband or wife, then by default you could assume their sexual preference, you know? if a male teacher referred to a partner as “she”, you could assume he was most likely straight, whereas if he said “he”, you could assume he was most likely gay (i say most likely as of course they could be bisexual). if you think it’s any different, then i think your real problem is with people being gay, not with kids knowing the sexuality of their teachers?
i also had a few teachers who didn’t like being called miss/sir, and always told us to call them by their first names, but more often than not we’d end up accidentally calling them miss/sir anyway, as it was so ingrained in us haha!

This is so true! I’m not trans, but I’m a pretty positive person and I don’t believe in dwelling on what you can’t change. I had someone tell me they forgot I’ve actually had hardship in my life when a traumatic event I went through was brought up in conversation. It was really irritating to me because just because I don’t tell everyone all the bad things I’ve been through, doesn’t mean I didn’t go through bad things. They were the type of person who was always telling everyone their pity stories, so since I wasn’t doing the same, “obviously” I skipped happily through the fields of life.
Also been told I’m privileged because I’m a stay at home mom with 6 kids. They assume my husband must be rich and make over 100k. No. I budget. I shop sales. I don’t buy things on a whim. It takes effort to make this work. And when they ask me what I do to make it work, no one is willing to do it because it requires discipline, effort, and personal accountability.

Pattern recognition is useful to make fairly accurate (on average) flash judgements, and it serves us well most of the time. Sometimes an individual doesn't fit the mold, and catches us off guard, and we need to be willing to surrender that faulty flash judgement when it's proven to be incorrect, without dismissing our mind's marvelously useful pattern recognition as a whole. It tells us to be cautious and observe. If you are a legitimate bigot, and hang on to the initial judgement despite all evidence to the contrary, it's no longer useful, but a hinderance.

Let me explain. When you go to see doctors now they call you by your first name but yet we do not call them by their first name.
It used to be you would be called by mr or misses or mrs and last name (that part doesnt matter to me) but now your just called by your first name as if you are a lower species and dont deserve a formal title.

Everyone understands that concept. They actually don't have to announce they're married, it is implied with their preferred title. Mrs. preferred typically by women who don't change their last name as Mrs. comes from mistress. Mrs. Smith is shortened from Mrs. John Smith. Ms. can be used by any woman regardless of marital status.
Teacher obviously have talked about their family and have their spouses in their lives a lot. I've heard a lot of my teachers' romantic life and seen their spouses. That's just fine. I loved all things girly as a kid (Disney princesses, Kim possible, totally spies, I wore princess dresses while dressing up) but I’m definitely not trans and I’m scared for all the other gay guys growing up who will pushed towards being trans. We definitely don’t need blind affirmation

I am a straight woman who just had an older brother and I wanted to be like him and his friends! I’d wear the same clothes, play the same sports, when puberty started I felt disgusting (women are shamed and puberty often feels embarrassing for everyone) had it been this day and age, I would’ve been the same as you! I understand there’s definitely trans kids and we should let people explore activities/clothing etc. that they enjoy, but clothing/hobbies do not need to be associated with a gender!

      It was a great show.
But my favourite thing about kim possible was the october 31st episode with DUFF KILLIGAN...

My sister was a complete tomboy and she mentioned a few times how happy she was not to have grown up nowadays because she would definitely have been pushed to transition. She's a happy woman now.

Blaire started her transition at 22 in My personal opinión she is jealous of trans people who transition before puberty and they look better than her and That is why she doesn't want Young people transition not because she thinks they are not "ready"

The majority of us are more like blaire than you’d think, its just the fact that all the annoying anti straight gays are the ones being broadcasted and popularized, most of the gay men age 25-60 and even some that are in my age group of 18-24 hold beliefs similar to hers, we just want to be able to exist, but then there’s those of us who need to sit down and shut up for a while

@@rinnerebirth1171 Well said😎 in America as a whole is a live and let live society, if you can't appreciate someone from a community that has amazing style, wit and is fabulous then your only missing out on a good time. However there are boundaries as there is in all aspects of life and a big 1 is leave the kids alone🤨

Ehhh.. she coulda put the person’s feelings first and edited them out of the video and thumbnail. I think that woulda been the kinder, albeit less clickbaity, thing to do but here we are

@@PopFizzPaperDani yeah I think it's not so kind that she had their photo in the thumbnail that is clearly for clickbait. just because of the way they look. I think it would be a good opportunity for her to realize how judgemental she can be. I wonder if that person is still a fan of hers.
