Don't say you're sorry because don't feel a song. That's what makes music so freakin great, nobody reacts the same way.
David, everything you said sounded fair to me. I already knew from past reactions that Fuki's vocals are hit and miss with you, in some reactions you liked it, in others you didn't like it. Nothing wrong that, we all have our personal tastes.
As for the band overall, they have more impressive songs than this (The very first one you did, Black Pentagram, and that got 9.3), like "Opfer", "Unending Sorceress", "Jealousy of Silence", CADAVER/REVADAC and others but I'll be honest, after you saw that Dream Theater cover done by them, I don't know if anything they do will impress you ever again. And there's nothing wrong in not being impressed anymore with a band. Not being impressed doesn't mean you or me or anyone else hates or dislikes a band, so you're just being honest and you deserve kudos for that.

i think its fair to think that way after hearing one of their better pieces it just wont feel the same way by comparison, either way if u still think its a good song thats a great thing on its own
I'm an Unlucky Morpheus fan, but I think they have some awesome songs, and then a lot of "ok" songs, like this one; of course there is personal taste involved, I love Fuki's voice so I easily listen to all of their songs, and in Knight of Sword I also love the drums, but yeah, this is not (in my opinion) one of their best tracks. As someone else said already, there are Opfer/Angreifer, Unending Sorceress, of course Black Pentagram, and I add "Change of Generation" and "Le Cirque de Sept Couleurs" which are better; also Requiem is among my favourites, brilliant violin there, more melody and less speed.
Bad selection. I don't want to say it's a bad song. But there are other songs in their catalog where the band shows all its limitless potential. We hope you come back one day with more Ankimo-Desss
'Tower of Blood' is scheduled for February and 'Dead Leaves Rising' is scheduled for March.
I appreciate your honesty. This is in my top 5 UM songs. Fuki's vocals are an acquired taste, you dig them or you don't. You don't. Fair enough. I can't stand Shiren's growls, tbh, but it's worth putting up with because the rest is sublime. Quadratum was great fun. It allowed the less creative, but immensely talented members to flex their muscles. Perhaps try Dignity of Spirit next.

This song is more on the generic power metal side, but this band has really impressed me as well

The music is good and Metal, but when it come to the song and singing it more to Japanese style vocal and song... BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES, NEMOPHILA, HANABIE, their music and songs are for International.....🤘🤘🤘
To be fair, not every song is a masterpiece
Even before you started to express your own doubts and concerns - I personally was not happy with the vocal line. I am not talking about the voice or the tone. If you take away all instruments and listen to the melody - its is... so average and formal. In our pop shows (I am russian, talking about russian show business) we have singers who sing the exact vocal lines, its just the arrangement is no "metal". What I try to say is that not only you can take a metal song and make a pop cover on it, but you can also take a pop song and arrange it the way it looks "metal". I totally agree with the fact - that this track doesnt let you "feel" it.
