I'm kind of disappointed that nobody thought of just hiding for 20 mins to try to bamboozle alex and annoy him... or just leave the task without saying anything.
Francesco Zen Zanoni yeah, I thought someone might have at least tried to go a long way laterally (literally lateral thinking) and then come back in towards the bridge after walking calmly to it outside of the obvious line of sight.
Also kind of surprised that no one even thought about climbing around the outside of the bridge at the end... obviously would have been a bit dangerous, but there was plenty to hold on to, and you could always call Alex over to save you if you shit yourself and realised you’d bitten off more than you could chew. You’d still have got 2nd place if you were in this group and you’d done that.

It would have been great if she had just stayed in the bin and the bin kept moving each time but he wouldn't be able to actually see the person inside, so it would have counted.

And then through the bin to the other side of him while she speed walks to touch him while he's distracted. I would've done almost the Same thing but at the end, I woulda thrown a rock at the other side of the bridge to make him think I'm on the other side.

Her legs were exposed at all times. That counts as him seeing her. Whether she is in the bin or not, if he sees a bin with legs then that is obviously her.

@@kuivia Well it's not like that's explicitly stated in any behind the scenes material, but of course it's got to be the case, just do the math. The entirety of tasks performed over the course of an entire series, they're recorded on loads of different days, but the only unwavering constant displayed in a given series is each of the contestants always have on the same clothes. The only detail that may waver is a mix & match depending on how may layers you're wearing. A contestant has a jacket on in some outdoor task but then it's off while in the house, maybe someone has a sweater now tied around their waist, etc.

My immediate thought: theres no time limit, just hide and wait for him to fall asleep and then shake him awake.
Or wait until he dies and you can climb inside him.

Would be interesting to know how they filmed this. I mean, you can't have a cameraman running after them, or they would give them away. So the cameramen must have been stationary, but this would take a lot of cameramen.

We saw Alex's view, so we know they where hidden from him, so they did not help him. But yes, would love to see a backstage of this task.
They would have re-enacted it afterwards to get the other views.
Or its just a con and everything is set up...
They probably have a bunch of action cams mounted around the environment then a cameraman or two with a long zoom lens

I wouldve asked one of the camera crew to change clothes with me and if I can hold their camera. Then just walk nochalantly to alex the long-ish way around

@@tokega No way! I didn't have any qualms with season 6. It weren't one of the better seasons but it's def better than Season 8. Paul was just so urgh, just zoned out whenever he was on. ~~ Lou and Iain was pretty good but the rest was mediocre(with moments like everyone in this show) but the tasks was boring and there was little thinking outside the box. :(

Its almost like we have a imposter amoung us.....
Sweden did a similar task to this where they hid but because we don't have any big areas to film at. We decided to have our "Alex" in the shed opening and closing the door while the contestants collect balloons in the yard. One person was a quick thinker and locked "Alex" inside so he couldn't get out lol. In Sweden tho the task was timed.
I had forgotten about this show. What a great reminder! The lights on Alex's head were so bizarre. I'd have given Lou a small amount over Iain for not giving up until told to (and for continuing to have two eyes).

This was by far my favorite task. I wish I had seen it as a teenager. We certainly would have found an abandoned place to go play this game in and probably eventually tons of kids would get involved and it would become a new game

so here's what's bothering me. he's standing up and then pressing the alarm. it should be the other way round. first pressing alarm then standing up... kinda ruins the whole game as he spots people before they hear the alarm
