  • As corny as NKOTB's music is, this was a really neat thing they were involved in. Features interviews with Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, and shows Marky Mark at the beginning!

Corny? Uhm, not all of it. And the first comment is right, they were no wimps.

Yeah but weren't most of their fans little girls and tweens (just like Bieber and 1D were a few years ago in the early 2010s?)

JPMcFly1985Two Well, true, but that's something artists that young (back then) can't help. Their fan base is pretty diverse nowadays, that includes grown men, lol. They've maintained their "boy band" essence but, of course, the music has evolved & is more mature.

They were a true grassroots success story! One fan @a time the old fashion way. They were never a "carefully constructed, finely tuned, created to fill a void in the market" group! It was 5kids & one producer. After the 1st contrived album, they took on the creative side of the music. They became vocal in the direction of where the music was going & hanging tough was what you got. That album blew up because of the music. Label & marketing had nothing to do with it.

@@xennial80sxbernerNo.. they had fans of all ages, but they themselves were teens when they first started out and in their hay day when they got famous, even more famous than Michael Jackson, they were still teens, aged 16-20 in 1990!!
They were teen idols themselves and a lot of their fans were college age and younger. And now, they going strong - selling out at arena's across the country still to this day!
In fact their first concert appearance on their Magic Summer tour 2024 starting tonight June 12, 2024 through the summer in August.
They got fans their same age, and older and us fans since the mid to late 80's AND now they have generations of fans because of us original fans!
