This review was only 5 minutes and not 13 hours: What a click bait!
w. . . what that supposed to be a joke?
+Comical Maxwell I.....i...i..... I think so
+Finlay Howard I think if we back up real slow he won't notice us leaving
Ok. I'll follow your lead
+Finlay Howard oh shit he saw us
I swear like 90% of all CZcamsrs are sponsored by Loot Crate
True, at least it is at the end of the video
+Auresia x Loot Crate knows how to market themselves then.
Loot crate sucks though.
+kaa992 sssshhh there watching
+kaa992 It feels like Ashens and Idubbbz are the only youtubers that are honest with how shitty these subscription boxes are
A good Michael Bay movie on January.Let that sink in.
I need 13 hours to let it sink in.
+Gent M Assuming that the movie is actually okay, that's crazy enough in itself. Doesn't matter what month it is. For Michael Bay to put out a movie that's not god awful is a miracle in itself.
+Gent M I guess I should look outside and see if there are any pigs flying by my house.
@@ShaunSkillet Still, an okay movie coming out in January, the month of Cinematic disasters, made by Michael Bay is something incredible.
@@Hilversumborn ok this joke is getting overused.
Wait, Michael Bay made a good movie? MICHAEL BAY made a GOOD MOVIE?!
Guys, we might just have the old Michael Bay from The Rock and Bad Boys back.
Shmalyan made a good movie and now Michael bay too?
+Christian Young it seems to at least. The Rock and Bad Boys are entertaining and fun as fuck, but this one doesn't seem to be like that, i think it's a movie who take his-self more seriously.
+Christian Young The Rock was only good cause Nick Cage and Sean Connery and a great musical score. The movie itself was just typical action packed nonsense. Bay doesn't make good movies lol.
The God Emperor To be fair, the best action movie are like that, great actor, some time great score, very funny, but a basic plot. The "Die Hard" movies are like that and they are awesome (except the fith, this thing doesn't exist), for me "The Rock" is an awesome action movie. At that time at least Hans zimmer knew how to do original score.
+Christian Young I know Chris didn't like it but I thought Pain and Gain was pretty good.
I recently watched this film and believe it or not, I actually cried at the end. Yeah crying from watching a Michael Bay film, weird right?
I fell apart at the end myself.
Me too
Yeah, when Tanto broke down, I almost teared up.
i had emotions myself , in Logan too
This movie fucking sucks.
I still have a hard time seeing John Krasinski in any other role besides Jim.
This movie was shot after he left Dunder mifflin
+Tim Howard David Denman, who played Roy on the office was also a soldier in the movie. The stakes for Pam have never been higher.
+Tim Howard Same goes for Steve Carell. In fact, it makes me mad when I see him trying to play anyone other than Michael Scott for some reason. I find myself thinking ARGH why is Michael Scott trying to act!?
+j Hughes But he did such an amazing job in "Threat Level: Midnight"! Michael is truly a renaissance man. 😂
golden face was his best role yet
I respectfully disagree with your opinion on the first hour of the movie. I thought it was important to learn about these men. You say its "the same standard stuff you've seen". "Guy has a baby at home, wife's pregnant". The reason that is in so many "war" films is because that is the case for a lot of soldiers (or contractors) for that matter. Great video otherwise.
exactly; the the entire definition/motif of "sacrifice" that these soldiers make. They know every time they deploy that can die; but the real sacrifice is the void they leave back home bc at the end of the day theyre normal americans back stateside. if you have a bunch of soldiers with nothing of value back home then the entire aspect of sacrifice and selflessness is somewhat lost.
"January hasn't been that bad strangley."
I'm willing to bet that The Boy is going to be god awful.
Ride Along 2 and Norm from the North Pole
+trd 12 I heard Ride Along 2 got a 15%. How is Norm from the North Pole?
+trd 12 *Checking the rotten tomatoes score for Norm of the North.*
"I wonder what's the score for OH MY GOD! LOL"
Well at least Lauren Cohan is hot as fuck, so it's got that going for it
+trd 12 rotten tomatoes scores can be deceiving, I actually just got back from ride along 2 and found it to be quite funny with no expectations
holy shit can just 1 youtuber somewhere not mention lootcrate... I swear to god it's more over marketed than the amazing spiderman 2
+IamZedX You know what a sponsor is right?
Heisenberg yes... why do you and the 9 dummies who liked your comment think I somehow wouldn't, every single fucking youtuber says it in their damn video
IamZedX Its because lootcrate sponsors youtubers to advertise their product. CZcams is their jobs so why wouldnt they take the sponsor..
+IamZedX is it making you sick? Is it physically killing you? No? Then be quiet.
+IamZedX is it making you sick? Is it physically killing you? No? Then be quiet.
I care... because I have heard so much about Glen and Tyrone. And it is a A+...
R.I.P
Ambassador Stevens
Sean Smith
Glen Doherty
Tyrone Woods
I hope you finally get your justice!!
I think this movie means a lot more to people who have been in combat. When the characters say things like, "I had a good call home today," it's a throw-away line for most viewers. But if you've been far from home in a life-or-death situation, a good call home really means everything. And a bad call home is just devastating because you know that it could be the last conversation you may ever have with your wife or kids or whatever.
This is an amazing movie, not just because it's a true story but because it's told very well. They didn't "Hollywood it" with extra drama or ridiculous heroics. The things those heroes went through actually happened.
Are you going to do the Oscar nominations reaction video this year?
+alistair p Oh yes give us one ,chris please.
He already saw them no reaction see his Twitter
Doesn't even have to be a live reaction because I'm sure he already knows them. Just a thoughts on video would be cool
Yeah please do that!
+alistair p most of the nominations are quite disappointing.
Seeing Krasinski crying at the end talking about Rone was the part that broke me, such a fantastic movje
it was sad
And Mark from the Schmoes gave this a 5/5... lol...
yep. saw your comment on their channel as well complaining about it.
+TheRush ToRehab Too late, I already did.
+Ben Sebastian Kristian's actually pretty reasonable and knowledgeable with what he's talking about. Mark on the other hand......is an idiot.
+Ben Sebastian I guess there's a reason other newer youtube review channels are growing faster than theirs
so did you just found out about "opinions"? or are you not used to taking all of it in your ass?
Any else keep seeing John Krasinski as Jim Halpert the whole time?
he divorce Pam change then he joined the army and change his named.
it makes the movie better for me XD
Just like I see mclovin, mclovin regardless what he's in
"Michael Bay's most mature film since ... " The Island! The Island damn it!
Wow. The first two January movies you've reviewed aren't COMPLETE shit.
That's hopefully a good sign that we're in for a good year.
+aero roger I don't know, I think we've just dodged a few bullets and the war against January rages on
+Steven Spielberg I think this January is going to be a little bit different. Although there is Ride Along 2, the first stink of January.
Aw shit, chill man, don't fucking mention that ass sequel
+IlhamV95 And there's also Norm of the North...please kill me.
You should do a tribute to Alan Rickman.
I don't care what everyone else has to argue: He *made* the Harry Potter films.
Hans Gruber, anybody?
He has made almost every movie he's appeared in
And I don't mean directed.
*Made*
The casts were so huge it's hardly fair to say rickman made them. He was amazing as snaps but he wasn't even the top 5 most screen time actor in all of them.
kev lel yeaaaaahhh
I was joking btw
IKR
DAVID BOWIE, LEMMY KILMSTER AND NOW ALAN RICKMAN.
WHOM I THOUGHT WAS NOT ALLOW TO DIE
Hated PEARL HARBOR but unlike Chris I personally liked PAIN & GAIN.
Based on the comments you don't seem to be the only one. While I don't share your opinion, I find it interesting.
+Harley Dirk I liked Pearl Harbor, it's not a award winning movie by far but I liked it.
Garen Gasparovic
Curious. What are your feeling on Titanic, and how do they compare to your feelings on Pearl Harbor?
Garen Gasparovic
Ah I see, thanks for the info.
To be honest I'm not too big on either flick although I have a greater respect for Titanic.
+Harley Dirk Yah for sure Titanic is a much better movie is just about every aspect. But idk just something about it I can't love it.
I thought 13 hours was better than American Sniper, that's my opinion but I agree with Chris after that first hour the movie definitely picks up and doesn't stop until the credits roll
I had fun with Pain and Gain. Pearl Harbor was cringe worthy.
+Omar Correa Pain and Gain, I really liked it haha. The actors were a good combo.
+Omar Correa Pearl Harbor had a lot of sappy moments but nobody can deny it also had some of the best action sequences ever seen in a movie. Plus the music was great and had some pretty funny moments. I loved Pearl Harbor. I can overlook bad moments and see the movie as a whole.... and as a whole, it's a pretty damn good movie.
+Cabbage Reloaded Fair enough. All movies are subjective. I'll never be seeing it again myself.
The 40 minute action scene is really the only reason to watch Pearl Harbor, it was very well done for the time it was made. But I still agree, I had better chemistry with my ham sandwich than the romantic leads in this movie
Austin Williams How could anyone not hit it off with a ham sandwich tho? :P
"it's boring like every other story, guy has a baby at home, wife's pregnant" - except these character backstories are based on real life people. Also, they're not soldiers. 2 Navy SEALs (sailors) and 2 Marines, IRRC.
I knew the real Tyrone Woods and his dad goes to our church. This movie is, and the situation was, VERY personal to me.
Stuckmann, you going to do an Oscar nomination video???
I would disagree with the first hour being "hard" or boring it is really well done, it allowed for the characters backstory to be built and it payed off in the third act of the film. I would personally give a score of a B+ or a 9/10 score.
I just watched this on Netflix and had completely forgotten that it was a Michael Bay film until the fighting started. As you said, he doesn't go full Michael Bay on this film, but his style is all over this film, just in a more subtle than usual way. I really enjoyed this movie and all the actors were fantastic. I look forward to John Krasinski doing more roles like this, especially with his upcoming TV roll as Jack Ryan.
Pain & Gain is Michael Bay's best movie
+WolverinesNation92 Huh? That's not THE ROCK.
+WolverinesNation92 Pain and Gain isn't his hebt flic, but definitely is above average.
+j Hughes i agree, every thing in it are awesome, the casting, the acting, the music, even the vilain are badass and enterrtaining.
***** i'm not speaking of pain and gain, this movie suck, i'm speaking about The Rock
To Me Bad Boys 1-2 is his best ones.
Pain and Gain was one of the most pleasantly surprising comedies I've ever seen. It benefits more from the script and actors but Bay's direction helped to kind of lampoon the lifestyle Wahlberg's character wanted to live.
Do a Snatch (2000) review, nobody gives this classic any looooovee!
The movie is taken from a book co written by the men that were there. When they put the boom together they didn't want to get into the politics because it focuses solely on their experiences. I don't see why the film would be criticized for that. but yeah. It's still a Michael Bay movie. but it was good. I think it showed that if he takes the subject matter seriously he is capable of making a good movie. I could have gone without the slow mo and color saturation but overall I think it was a good film. I probably connected with it more because I had read the book beforehand.
Yk wat the books called?
Glad this movie sounds pretty decent. Respect to those who died at Benghazi.
Have you reviewed District 9? I've been searching for a District 9 review by you, for a while.
The first hour of this movie was so tense for me. I always felt on edge, like at any moment someone could get shot or something. And once that action started, holy crap it did not let up at all.
I'm kinda glad the movie didn't go too much into politics because not only they were in the dark there, we're still pretty much now. And the movie picking a side could accidentally indocrinate the public into possibly getting the wrong idea about certain people.
Chris where i can find that t-shrit? obs: im from brazil.
where can I find that shirt your wearing chris
Would you look at that: a mature and actually decent Michael Bay movie? Wow, I thought this day would never come.
Wow the first hour was my favorite part of the movie, after that there is more battle fatigue once the action starts and goes on for a while
I never seen the movie but what happens at the end?
Did they play the 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer at your showing? Love to hear your thoughts.
The first hour isn't slow for me. I felt it is very intense and sarcastic. I gave the movie 10/10.
Saw this last night. Pretty good movie. I didn't have as much of a problem with the first hour as you but I'm with ya on the over editing and shaky camera on a lot of shots. Overall still a good movie. John Krasinkski really surprised me in this so good for him.
So Chris, what do you think about the Oscars nominations? how much do you agree? are you making another video?
Hey Chris have you seen Tom Hardy's Legend? If so do you plan to review it in the future?
January has been good so far
till Ride Along 2 fucked it up :/
+Tici Toty Tony So , what made it good?
GSMBach The Forest, This movie shockingly and for some people The Revenant.
+Tici Toty Tony the forest. . seriously? xd
Vino sitas I seen it recently and it's not the worst movie ever
And what you mean seriously go look at the crap that came in January 2013-15
+Tici Toty Tony
Not to mention Norm of the North...
I've managed to watch the film which came out on DVD and it was worth it. I highly enjoyed the film, especially when the soldiers were overwhelmed with constant threats, chaos, confusion, shootings, explosions etc. Finally Michael Bay has done something great again :D
Chris clover field lane is this a squeal?
Just to let you know Chris you are LEGITIMATELY the best movie reviewer ever
Anytime I want a review about a movie that just came out I go to your channel!
You deserve more subscribers
I've already subscribed
I love this movie! I'm glad Michael Bay took a more serious tone with this movie, I am a hard critic when it comes to military or military style movies but I really loved this movie! I put it up there with Body of Lies, Tears of the Sun, The Kingdom, Blood Diamond to name a few. It sucks that the majority of the people don't appreciate good movies like this one but flock to the theaters to go see a superhero or Disney movie.. 😒😒😒
Even though I think Michael Bay is for the most part a bad director, he has made some great movies. I'm glad he cares about this source material, makes me wanna see the movie, and I probably will.
This is one of the rare occasions he showed respect for the source material
@@mariovazquez4436 True.
Will you be reviewing Legend?
Chris is that the S.H Figuarts Luke and Darth Maul I see in the background?
But how about a reaction to the 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer?
+Jacob D Looks like an episode of Lost.
He talked about the trailer on Twitter.
I come to CZcams before Netflix so I don't have to form my own opinion about a movie.
Chris, can u please review cloverfield before the sequel comes out on March? I really want to hear your opinion about the movie.
Chris, I love your reviews, are you planning on making a video review for Slow West? Saw it last night, it was amazing.
Jeremy Jahns gave this a thumbs up,
Jeremy Jahns,
same guy who's career started with a Michael Bay film review on how bad it was.
What's this? A Michael Bay film that ISN'T absolute crap? And in January no less? What sorcery is this?!?!
+JonnyLikesGames87 A lot of Bay's earlier movies weren't bad. Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, etc.
+JonnyLikesGames87 He's a decent director when he's making films that he actually gives a fuck about.
+12334556 Its alll about THE MUTHA FUCKIN MONEY
+Garrick Groover I thought the Island and the first Transformers weren't that bad either. I'll also give him credit that Revenge of the Fallen is a major guilty pleasure, and I thought he was at least trying to improve in Age of Extinction.
I was only joking. There are some Michael Bay films I do enjoy, such as The Rock, The Island and the first Transformers to a certain extent. Armageddon is a guilty pleasure for me.
Lately though, he's had more misses than hits, so it's kinda surprising that there's actually a new decent Michael Bay flick.
Chris have you seen the trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane yet?
Hey Chris i don't know if you usually take suggestions but i think it would be really cool if you were to review Cloverfield considering that 10 Cloverfield Lane is coming out in March. Love your reviews man keep up the great work!
This is the best Michael bay movie I’ve seen. Loved it
Jim halpert went commando on us.
January hasn't been "that" bad huh?
Alright, boys send in *Norm of the North*.
I know it was such a long time ago, but I *still* cannot get over Mark Ellis on Schmoes Know giving this a *perfect, masterpiece* grade of 5/5 (now 100% on their new scale).
It just baffles me to the point of exhaustion. Just...wow.
Just saw this and I was pleasantly surprised, Id probably give it around an 7.5 out 10. I honestly think it Michael Bay's best movie ever, slightly above the rock..
I really liked this movie. I didn't find the character set up a problem because it's who they really are, they all had families at home. I ended up really caring about the characters and the ending really affected me. I haven't cried during a movie in a while but I welled up pretty hard at one point. Overall I'd say it's a much better movie than these idiot democrat critics are saying it is. I'd give it an A-.
Chris, thoughts on 10 cloverfield lane?
I love how January is usually a pretty great month for films here in Spain
Only Michael bay film I like is "The Rock" I'll go see this tho
Do a One Punch Man review.
yo Chris
u gon talk about that Cloverfield 2 trailer?
Are you reviewing Ride Along 2?
cant believe Bay made a goon movie. Also, when are you going to make the Oscar nomination reaction?
*good*
How many goons are in it?
Mike McFly 50. 25 of them are Autobots and the others are clones of Bruce Willis. Both of them are going to appear in Independence Day and they are going to destroy the ship with a drill equiped with a 90s virus
Boba Fett I am on!
He doesn't like the Oscars he said it last year
I loved this movie.
Nice shirt bro, great movie review as always
Hey Chris just wanted to say love your videos dude watch them almost everyday on my lunch break. Got a suggestion you should make a video based on the Oscar nominations thought it would be a good tidbit take care!
And people still voted Hillary SMH
I can't quite get why you gave it a B-
You are totally negativ about half of the movie, with all the Bay-stuff like shakycam, no connection to the characters and SlowMoXplosions. Then there's a feel for the characters and .. that's it? Hu? What changes in the second half that makes the first F-impression a B-?
Just see the movie, the second half will change everything.
+Breizh man I think that's just you.
Because scores are arbitrary and you can't compare movie ratings. 13 Hours is a great Michael Bay movie, but maybe not a great movie in itself. How do you rate that then? Should you rather compare it to Bay's last movies? To movies in general? To similar war movies? It's hard to give a grade and Chris, along with many critics, hates doing that.
Thoughts on the 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer?
Great Review Chris. I'll be seeing this one tomorrow! Should be interesting!
I've only liked 2 Michael Bay movies, Armageddon and 13 Hours.
A guy with a pony picture so he'll get called a fag Because I don't like them.
Not even The Rock?
Matt Cotter I don't hate The Rock, I just didn't care for it. I realize I'm in the vast minority.
A guy with a pony picture so he'll get called a fag absolutely
DavidGerlach I can understand that. Even for a 90s action film, The Rock has some extreme cheese in it
"Effective"? "Best made to date"? How about WHETHER OR NOT THE STUFF IN THE FILM WAS TRUE?
...no? NOBODY'S gonna comment on that? Nobody who reviewed it here on this site tries to factcheck the film at all? REALLY? Really?!
I don't CARE if the film is gripping or bloodpumping or actionpacked, I want a DOCUMENTARY-STYLE FILM to be based on something TRUTHFUL. But you didn't even ONCE address whether or not what the film had to say was ACCURATE.
I knew the real Tyrone Woods and his dad goes to our church. This movie is, and the situation was, VERY personal to me. Truth is there I can assure you
Oh shut the fuck up
hey Chris are you gonna review the 5th wave really hope you do nice video please do a review I really wanna see this movie
Could you please review the Atticus institute
I liked the movie throughout. Hillary should be handcuffed and marched in to see that movie. I give it an A+
+Clyde Cornwell It's a film full of factual errors and historical inaccuracies.
I agree, There should have been mention of the election campaign that was lying to the voters that terrorism was in check. There was no mention that those men in the movie, the 4 killed and others injured were to be sacrificed for the party. No mention of Hillary going to bed early and Obama preparing for a fund raiser and just ignoring those poor bastards. There was no mention of Hillary emailing Chelsea that it was a terror attack while telling us that it was a protest over a anti muslim video. No mention of her telling family members of the fallen while standing next to the flag draped coffins that she would see the guy who made the video would be prosecuted.
But , hey, don't get me started. I loved the movie despite the liberal thumbs down reviews they frantically posted.
+Clyde Cornwell. There is also no mention of that fact that the Obama-Hillary clique propped up and armed the Jihadist terrorist militias in the first place to overthrow Gaddafi AND many of our current problems such as the rise of ISIS, the current wave of Islamist terrorism in Europe AND the Euro-Migration Crisis can all be traced back to what Obama and Hillary's did in Libya (and the Arab world by extension, cough: Arab Spring).
NOTIFICATION SQUAD WHERE YOU AT
furthestfromthesun. Right here
stuckmann is smart with his analysis but never pretentious. that can be really refreshing with some of the other reviewers out there
Am I the only one who watches the ending "call to wife" as Jim announcing that he's pranking Dwight
Loot Crate = Geek landfill.
+GameRazor247 ... you are aware what Landfill is right?
+Edward Hippisley-Cox What "A" landfill is¿ I'm fairly aware of what it is, the real question is, why ask and are YOU aware I'm pulling a funny.
+GameRazor247 Hilarious. Good one Boy-o.
this movie was horrible. the firework explosions alone are unbearably shitty
where did you get that shirt Chris? its freaken epic.
LOL at your thumbnail!
This movie made me hate Hillary even more
The current Euro-Migration Crisis (as well as other very serious issues) can be traced back to her and Obama's moronic decision to violently depose Gaddafi and support a bunch of Jihadist terrorist militias (and other non-sectarian rulers in the Middle East).
Robert Freid lmao both of you are crazy
+The Comedian. How? Because what I say is objective truth. We propped-up and armed a bunch of fanatical Jihadist terrorist militias as proxies in order to fight the more secular rulers of the Middle East and North Africa because they weren't aligned to our wishes and our side (does the Libyan No-Fly Zone and Libyan Islamic Fighting Group ring any bells to you). The same failed, moronic policy we've been doing since the 1980s. And as a result, we suffer from the side effects of said actions (i.e. things like the current Euro-Migration Wave that has been going on since 2015).
P-R-O-P-A-G-A-N-D-A
+VOODOO CHILD Trewps, veterans, trewps, american flag, nation, trewps = B+
uuhhh...
Uhg just enjoy life for once
+VOODOO CHILD saw it its your standard military movie story but had some great action..no political views showed in the movie..it's actually accurate about the cia running the compound
Michael Bay 101 - besides abusing women in his films, he needs to show a glimmering shot of the American Flag about every 20 minutes.
+Luke Robinson Abusing women? lol
I saw this movie last night with my friend, and I loved this movie a lot. It is a gritty, realistic movie that had my gripped the whole time. I thought that the first hour was fine, and it didn't have that many explosions, but guess what, there are explosions in war, especially with terrorists who like RPG's and car bombs. I felt anxious the whole time, and I had no idea who was going to live and who was going to die. I liked it more than The Revenant to be honest. I loved the humor, the action, and the characters, and my friend and I both got emotional and he too felt nervous for the guys in the movie all the way through. It's one of my top recent movies.
Oscar winner predictions video Chris, do it now!
No Oscar Nominations video this year? I was super keen to hear your opinion! :)
Hey Chris! Are you planning on watching/reviewing Lazer Team? I can't wait to see that movie!!
Plz! try to review The 5th wave, i am kinda excited for it.
Big props for the Jet Force Gemini poster.
