Keep in mind, only one man, John Tiegen, claims the Chief told him to stand down. Why would the Chief of Base tell one of the GRS contractors to stand down, but not tell the GRS team leader to stand down? Tiegen story sounds fishy to me.
I am a Vietnam veteran and I think these are some of the bravest men I have ever seen and to know they were abandoned by our state department at that time is beyond comprehension. Americans give their heart, soul, and blood to serve our country and each other always.

The writer and actors did such a good job capturing this movie. I didn’t know this story was true but I had to research it because the movie felt so real. Turns out, it is real

Movie literally changed my life, my views and attitude. The ranger Way book by Kris Paronto is inspiring and life changing as well. I later attended and trained for two days with "Tanto and Boone", just outside of Macon Georgia. An experience that will never be forgotten. As a veteran and retired LEO, I have great respect for these men, the honor, courage and integrity is beyond portrayal any documentary can provide, or any politician can fathom. All I can say with sincerity is "Thank you Sirs."

it's interesting to me that Mrs. Clinton says it is their job to figure out what happened in Benghazi and make sure it doesn't happen again, when all she is doing is evading the questions designed to do just that. this woman should never hold public office again and, in my opinion, spend time in prison thinking about "what happened [in Benghazi] and making sure it doesn't happen again".

First I want to start by saying thank you all for your service and courage. I remember this when I was younger. But I never seen it with my own eyes. Horrible is the only word I can use to describe what I saw in that movie. Again thank you all for your service and courage. Thank the families as well. Blessings and love.
I am so glad these men came out with the truth and shared their stories. They need not to be afraid to tell it from their experience on the field, but as this world is so critical 🙄, I think they used wise discretion in their sharing even during interviews. I respect that. I can only imagine what they went through that night and all the baggage of the aftermath they carry today. It’s not an event anyone wants to remember-the trauma, the noise, the lost lives of friends, the hopelessness, the fear, etc. These 6 men sacrificed their lives for others with no hesitation. They are real life superheroes! My heart goes out to the people back in Libya who want to be free and safe. And my heart for these heroic men who put their lives on the line against an army. This is a story that needs to be heard and honored. Thank you for your service and for displaying an utmost humble and bold bravery-for thinking of others before yourself. Truly amazing. ♥️♥️♥️♥️ I have so much more to say but there are absolutely no words able to express your story. It’s unbelievably courageous and bold. I am most certain that heroism never came across their minds and that is what makes this story even more genuine and authentic. Their families and loved ones endure their absence for daunting and unexpected missions like this, I can only imagine what they were thinking. I am so touched to know they never gave up.

I spoke with Mark Geist a few years ago and I can say he is a stand up guy, A dedicated family man and Marine. Definitely a true warrior and Patriot. I would trust him with my life and It was and still is a true honor to meet 1 of the brave secret soldiers of Benghazi.

@@yeahere9397 in a nutshell, they were diplomatic security for a quasi embassy in Libya. On 9/11/12 they were attacked by ISIS militants, they had no immediate assets for support, they held off repeated attacks until help arrived the next morning. Four died including the ambassador.

I'm a huge fan of "The Rock" and often touted it as the apex of Michael Bay's career...until "13 Hours". I've trained with Tanto; he's an incredibly humble, gregarious, deadly Christian warrior. This movie is arguably the finest war film ever made. If you haven't seen it yet, you are truly missing out on one of the most well-made chronicles of heroism and tragedy ever put to film.
There's a pretty good and sad movie on Netflix about an instance in Afghanistan. Similar mistakes and no care for the men. Made my Vet dad cry.
