I gotta say these beginning reviews have been stepping their game up. They are more indepth than they used to be. Daym really do be changing the review game
the worst reviewed series has been hitting as of late, not as bad as I was expecting.
That's my local spot. The burgers are terrific. Owner and customer service can be a problem sometimes but that's rare and the food quality and cheap beer keeps me coming back.
Every day that I think this amazing series will take a break you keep banging at the door with some new! You are going hammingtons and we appreciate you! Much love
I've noticed with alot of these places the food is actually pretty decent but the bad reviews are often from poor service or a bad interaction with someone
Being honest I'm far more interested in how good the food is then the service last time I was at wendys took ages to get a Baconator and a Frosty but it was worth it way better then a quick mid from mcdonalds
Facts
That's probably like half of the restaurants sadly, bad service, but their food doesn't get recognition because of the service
There are layers to it though. Sometimes if there's genuinely poor treatment of either customers or staff, you have to take a stand against that. Other times the bad service actually makes the food worse, as in the case where they asked the customer to bring the wings back to the restaurant and then said "actually no, they're right, you're wrong". By that point the food was ruined, so the customer has no way to even know if the restaurant *can* make good food.
But if the food was great and you give a 1 star because you had to wait too long or a server was a little rude... Yeah that's different.
Thank you as always for keeping it real. Your restaurants reviews are the best, honest, no-nonsense, engaging, and humorous.

From a programming stand point, I totally understand why yelp doesn't allow 0 stars. If that field is not required, many people can forget to put anything, when that wasn't the intent. So forcing them to give at least one star and then explaining in their review, makes for less 'no stars' being given by mistake and bringing down a spot's overall score. I've read a number of reviews on yelp where the one star was posted, but the written review did not match a one star at all. It's clear that the person forgot to update the stars.
I agree. However, .5 should be an option. Plenty of times where it truly isn’t a 3 piece, but more so a 3.5 coming live

Yo daym I respect your reviews but at places that are bad with bad food and customer service....you should go late afternoon not when it just opened when Attitude are fresh and up to standard..... when everyone's in a good mood .... do it when the rush comes is when the bartenders and server are annoyed.....lol

I have to agree. I notice that Daym always seems to hit all the spots right after opening. It may be the time of day that makes the difference. Daym, you should hit up these re-visits at the same times what these bad experiences happen. It might make all the difference.

Get the hot and sweet wings! That's there staple. And if there's sports on, that bartender will have all of the most important games on!
If you ever come to Illinois, it's a place called haze smokehouse located in a small town of Peru. They have this sandwich called All that Jazz, by far it's one of the best sandwiches you'll ever get
The sandwich name alone would warrant a visit if I was ever able to go to Illinois! 😯

I keep coming back review after review ever since the 5 Guys ghetto grocery bag days (with the grease). I agree with the comments below about the time of day with which you choose to do these re-visits for these worst reviewed food establishments. You always seem to pick times right after they open, early in the day and most of these 1 star reviews happen later in the afternoon or evening. You are probably not hitting the right vibe or stress point at that time of day. Probably not the same staff or cooks either. I've got to hand it to you though... you are still grinding away after all these years just killing it! Keep up the good work for you are a true inspiration.

i am starting to think that some of the bad reviews are coming from some disgruntled employees.
It seems like you always go to these restaurants when they first open. Maybe that's why you have a better experience. You should go around dinner time on the weekends. I bet it will be different

Hawaiian burgers one of my favorites, I like with a sharp cheddar and some crispy apple wood bacon, that crispy all over bun sounded really good

But see Daym, the same as it always is. You do not go at the times where the individuals who had some really bad experiences go. You go when they first ooen. The complaints are after the fact. The complaints are when things get to popping and they get busy. Love your channel, love it! But one f you can not figure out another way to be "Incognegro" when regular people go at the evening times or night times...well, it is hard to trust your opinions. And that is my personal opinion. It is what it is...
Well then maybe the other people should go at that earlier time then, in hopes of better quality. Would make more sense in my personal opinion, considering this review.

The food looked odee good especially that gigantic burger with all the damn fixings the shoe string crispy onions always hit for me and that teriyaki sauce on that joint just made my mouth water so bad lol..and then wings as well made me feel just as good and wish I had them rn lol

Daym in my opinion this was definitely a very positive experience. I think they are working on fixing their issues which is a good thing.
Daym if your ever in SoCal again try CUCAS Mexican Restaurant in Redlands CA on State Street, you will not be disappointed....
Love your worst and best reviewed reviews but these people giving bad reviews are most likely eating and ordering in the evening. Not when a restaurant is dead and just opening. Maybe do some reviews during busier times to get a more accurate assessment of customer service and food. God bless, just a suggestion.
True story about losing the good ones. I lost the best Italian restaurant in the Detroit area 25 odd years ago during a mafia crackdown. Was a damn shame. The food was great and the staff knew the regulars and treated people right. If your local places are good, make sure to give them the business they deserve! Wouldn't have saved the Spaghetti Palace but plenty of others have good food but are in the struggle.

I think they just recently became under new management. I noticed their menu has been ramped up a bit. They’re always friendly when my job calls for delivery. Never had a bad experience thru delivery:)

If Yelp made a "zero star" then people would just say "negative stars". They aren't gonna change shit and they don't need to. What they should change though, is allowing people to rate restaurants that can barely write and sound illiterate.

You have such a distinct look with the beard and size that I am certain the guy who worked at Roma knew who you were even though he couldn't remember your name. He knew your food reviews so he knew who you were and that makes sense as to why you are the only one who received good food and services 😅 after so many 1 star reviews.

You should have gone when it was busy then you will get the cook when he is busy. That's probably when the problems start happening
It's too easy to just write and forget to select a star number, so zero stars, as a default, would be a problem. And if they put a warning like, "Zero stars...are you sure?" some people might choose not to leave a review.
I just read one-star reviews as zero. Just stretch the scale a little.

I low key expected this to be a train wreck or you would pull a Gordon Ramsey and be like, "Let's tune in and see how our good friends at the whatever are doing!" and you open the reviews and you're like, "FAMILY! This joint just up and shutdown!" lol so nah, it's been a nice and positive experience, and I'm sure you're successfully drummin' up some business for these people who actually WANT to work in today's day and age, so mad respect brother!
