This is why i enjoy Daym Drops, no fakin, no shakin. He's honest across the board, gives it to you like it is. No matter what he says, there's always truth behind each of his reviews. He's always honest with his viewers never takes bribes to lie, and will hit the restaurants in the head if they screw up. Daym has really helped me find some amazing spots to share with my long time friend, and thanks to him. I'm more honest and outgoing with people again. Daym keep that energy vibe you got going fam, never let any haters tell you otherwise.
I agree. Been rockin with him since his classic Five Guys review and for all that he's been through, he's remained top notch.

The moment the chicken came on the scene I knew this was gonna be a heavy hitter. LOL I saw every sense of joy with each bit of food. That's alright.

Given the reviews about portion size, and how much food daym actually received you KNOW they overdid it for his sake.
So, divide by Daym, multiply by yourself, and you'll know how much food would be there if you purchased it.

I also like how you give the benefit of the doubt to the restaurants and break it down in Yelp as sometimes it seems the Yelp reviews don’t reflect properly the rating of the restaurant. @@jeanb3908 Yeah, and it’s a shame, because you can’t really trust what you see online, because you aren’t getting the full picture on Yelp then. I rarely base my opinion on a place solely on online reviews. I formulate my own (trying to account for most things) and go by that. Those online reviews are usually just a starting point, I guess.

Maybe the restaurants in your state with the best reviews may be false, do more reviews on the restaurants and mom n pop shops with the best/highest reviews. See if they live up to their name. Something different. Haha. Cool idea I know you can bust another 10000 videos with.
It did appear to be a lot of food for a medium order, but if I remember from the previous yelp review, the complaint was the medium and the large were approximately the same amount with the biggest difference being the price point, so I would be interested in seeing how much a large order actually contained and if it's worth it compared to a medium order.

I'm glad the restaurant got a positive review, but the one flaw in Daym's reviews is that he is a well-known personality. You have to be living under a rock to have never encountered one of Daym's reviews. I've been following dude for I don't even know how many years now, but the lady in the restaurant recognized him, and we have to assume that it played a part in the portion and freshness of his food. He really needs to figure out a work-around for this because otherwise his experiences are skewed.

Hard disagree. Daym ranted and raved about the food itself. Not the service. Not the price point. About the the flavor and quality of the food. You can't easily change that, especially something like this, on the fly. You can be on your toes for service and even give out more food than you usually would, but food quality and flavor is hard to fake in the moment.

To be fair this food isn’t made to order alot of that food is batch cooked and made over days so it’s hard to give him something special
That whole meal looked immaculate. I never really had Jamaican food, but I have had Jerk chicken. If that counts cool. 😅 anyway, I'm not a fan of Red velvet cake, but I am a fan of other cakes. I'm not sure for how long I have been following, but I have been following for quite some time to know some of your phrases. The ghetto nap, queue the music, and the "SUPER OFFICIAL review." Always in enjoy your content and the breakdown of the restaurants you visit.

let me tell you about Daym Drops - no fake vibes, no shaky stuff. This dude keeps it a hundred percent real, giving it to you straight up. Every review he drops, you know there's truth behind it. He never takes bribes to spit lies, and if a restaurant messes up, he's gonna call them out. Daym's been my go-to for finding dope spots to hit up with my day one, and thanks to him, I'm keeping it real and outgoing with folks.

There are a few establishments in New Haven that could have made the "worst" list. I don't get Jamaican food too often because I am primarily plant-based now, so all of my previous go-tos are a no go, unless they have curry shrimp or decent veggie patties. But that chicken did look good. She said she received an influx of customers after your 1st visit, so I can only imagine now. I need to see what shellfish options they have....
This is what I am constantly saying regarding this exact situation! The Lady recognized you, and that is not your fault. The true fault lies within the establishment for not treating all people the way they just treated Daym Drops. Look at all of the brown stew chicken with a ton of chicken in it??? This was just for Daym.Drops! Do unto him, as they should do unto other hard working paying customers! This is why some of these reviews I can no longer take seriously at all! Once they see and know of Daym, they are going to pull out the stops with all of the extras.

When I was in Jamaica I had some brown stew, curried fish, and jerk chicken that changed my life! I'd fly back just to re-create those memories...

Not to my knowledge. Can't recall ever seeing one. But been to plenty of places that sell Jamaican patties.
There were a fewJamaican bakeries, with some tasty patties and coco bread, when I was living in Hartford.

Now Daym, the only issue I have is they knew who you were. So, one could say, (in polite conversation) that the staff at this establishment were like, “This guy is a food reviewer, make sure you cook it right”. I’m not gonna lie, that chicken looks really good but if I go in there, am I gonna get the same quality? I mean I’m not a famous food reviewer, so I don’t know. And I know you didn’t know that person was gonna remember you, but maybe get someone else to go in and get the food next time? That’s all I’m saying. That said, your content is still all on 100s.

Check Paradise in Bloomfield on blue hills ave. I get food from there once a week. Price to portion ratio is crazy. They have different foods different days and times.
I have a Jamaican spot in my city. My go to is the stewed chicken gizzards over red beans and rice. You get a lot of food for the price.

This must be a new restaurant cuz they weren't there when I was around. My only place to go when I lived in CT for basically all my life was Golden Krust and Scotts. Northern California barely has anything but ONE dag on spot! I am PISSED!
