How do you glaze the undersite of the plate? Just the rim or do you leave it completly raw? And wouldn't this pose problems if you wash it frequently?
Great question! I leave the underside raw. If any glaze gets on the bottom, I will wipe it off so the plate doesn't stick to the kiln shelf during firing. This is not a problem as long as the clay is fully vitrified (waterproof).
Love the glaze you chose and the plate will be so nice to eat from! Lovely organic shape to it!❤
Thank you so much for sharing your technique of making plates of any shape. Keep well !!

Hi ! This looks amazing :) ! What glaze did you use ??
I've been trying my hands on dry clay sculpting but didn't succeed... You explained every step really nicely.Thank you so much for sharing . I will try again and I already know I will succeed .... :)
I’m glad I found you ! I had a quick question: if I wanted to make edges that are at a sharp 90 degree angle 📐 to the plate - like an ashtray for example- would I make the edge separately and glue it on?
what material is that base made of? I wonder how it doesn't stick, thank you for the video
Hello friend.. I really enjoyed your videos. good luck. I have one question for you, please tell me what you use after drying the clay to make the surface shiny?
What is the speckles glaze you use and can it be brushed on?
What is the surface base you are using, i am having so much trouble with clay sticking, it this a board with fabric on it or a canvas? TIA
Did you fire that on the same day you made it ? Or did I miss something ?
Hi! Are you supposed to put the DAS air dry clay in the oven to get a ceramic glossy look? Cause if I just let it dry for 24 hours its still kinda dusty and doesnt look finished..

I need this rolling pin! Anyone know where it can be bought?
Where do you get yoir clay from
Did you glaze it also under? Can you please tell me did you glaze it also under since you didn't made the foot? When i do it my plate i never glaze it under but some customer don't like it 🙂
Very good job! Thank you!! I am new at this hobby. which is the most safest way to make plates at home? Is it ok to use airdry clay?
You're welcome! Air dry clay won't work, you need to use real clay-- ceramic :)
where did you get your rolling pin please?
May I ask how big the plate is in the end?
How did you glaze the plate? The design you did is so beautiful!
it’s just a simple white stoneware glaze :)
How much and how big chamotte is in your clay?
How to prepare clay what materials are required.doesnot need any baking, what u use for glazing. 💖
What type of clay should one use for this? All I find is red clay, air-dry clay, and polymer clay
Can u do video about glazing and under the olate
I don't recommend glazing the bottom of plates unless you have a solid foot ring.
You can use underglaze:)
Will the sponge smoothing technique work with air dry clay?☺️
Yep it should
Which clay do you use for dinnerware? I am from the states and am looking for the best brand
sorry I am not from the US- ask an American potter :)
Will the same method be applied if the plate has to be made in terracotta? What tips would you give while making a plate in terracotta clay?
Terracotta just means fired clay. There are many different types of clay. The thing to keep in mind is the strength of the clay, grog does this and can vary in how much the clay contains. Non grog clay is gorgeous to work with but also harder to work with and is more fragile. The methods of working the clay are relatively the same. (water based not oil clay). The less grog clay has, the more refined your piece can be (fine details) the more grog the less refined the detail.
I am brand new at this. Where is the list of her materials?
How do u glaze it plz and does it need a special oven or the home oven will do???
you need a ceramic oven. a normal oven doesnt get hot enough ☺️
Can anyone who have knowledge about it please tell mee that is the stoneware clay was safe for food or not
How do brisque fire at home?
At what temperature to you fire the glazed plate?
1250 Celcius :)
how much do the ingredients cost ?
The most potter-ish sentence: And then your clay is prooobably ok.
😂😂
Hi there. What type of clay is being used? Thank you.
it’s stoneware :)
Sporty Spice. 😄
Beautiful plate! It's frustrating to watch a "how to make at home" video, only to find out (at the very END) that the home in question requires a kiln. A "what you will need" section at the beginning of the video could help people discern if it's appropriate for them 👍
Sameeee I've been searching for plates which don't need a kiln!
Is it possible to make a food safe non-porous plate without a kiln of some kind?
I haven't seen any ceramics tutorials online (even the "at home" projects) that don't require a kiln. Bisque firing and then glazing/firing again (with a food safe glaze) in a kiln is the best way to make your pieces food safe! I know this channel has a video on how to rent space in a kiln if you don't have one at home. That way, you can make things at home then bring them to a studio or whatever space you're renting to be fired.
It’s not possible to make plates without a kiln, but there are lots of different options to get your piece fired. I give mine to a local craft store, but schools or local pottery studios also offer to fire your pieces because it also helps them get their kiln filled.
There are many potteries that offer the service to out it in their kiln. They usually charge kilogram prices and it’s not that much in general. You should google that option for your area!
We need tutorial how to glaze the pottery
what thickness is the plate of the plate. GRAZIE
I think .7cm? I mentioned it in the video.
How long it takes to dry? What glaze?
Its just a standard white glaze from Carl Jäger. Nothing special. It took about 1 week to dry before I fired it.
How long did you dry it before smoothing out the edges?
Hyy
Which clay do you use
stoneware :)
How do you fire/glaze? Can it be done in a regular oven? Lol
nope, you need a ceramic kiln!
Plz guide me
Hoe can you bake the plate straight?
Love your armpit hair :P
الآباط جعلها ب,,,
Did you use varnish on that plate? If so, may I know the brand?
If you wanted to make dinner plates for 12 people that stack- how do you get the same shape each time. I'm not familiar with how many can be in a kiln and how many you can create simultaneously but assuming you might have to do them separately
Madam, you didn't mention what material you use n from where to get n how to dry n the timeing, please mention the material, thanks
every ceramic work of your is very good but your hairy armpit is funny
Shit, man, she needs to call the Orkin man to get rid of those tarantulas crawling under her arms. Yike.
