I'm sure the occasional splurge is acceptable - like a birthday or holiday beer and pizza party - but the weekly indulgences (or daily) make it impossible to keep in shape, if that is your goal. Pizza is my favorite food but my body literally rejects it; lactose intolerant, the bread and acidity of the sauce makes me barf. It's like my stomach knows it's not good for me, but that only came with age and time.

Well, I am 5 months on keto diet. By the way, in classic greek diet means ‘way of life’. I start in the morning with a spoon of apple cider vinegar. Than I prepare a scrambled egg or two with three slices bacon. At the same time,. I drink a large cup of expresso black coffee. During the morning I drink al large glass of water with fresh lemon juice. For lunch, when hungry, not always, I look forward to salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, with two slices of french cheese or ham. In the evening I eat steak or poultry or fat fish with vegetables. I injoy my meals very much and find it very rewarding. I am 71 now, take no medicine, perfect bloodpressure and my weight is right in the middle of the bmi scale between 20 and 25, I have never done any special physical exercise or sport in my live. I have never felt so fit as today, also in my brain I must say. Greatings from Belgium

If it doesn't specifically say "100% whole wheat flour" as the first ingredient on the ingredient list, it isn't whole grain. Anything that states "enriched" isn't whole grain. Walmart sells "whole wheat bread" that the first ingredient is "enriched wheat flour", which is misleading. They also sell "100% whole wheat bread" in which the first ingredient is 100% whole wheat flour, which is the healthier product. Also costs slightly more than the imposter. Shocker, right?

7 months on keto. What a change! I really like your food carb comparison to teaspoons of sugar! It really hits home, especially with the hidden sugars in foods we once thought healthy👍🏼 I don't think most of us realized just how much sugar we were consuming. You're probably too young to remember Opera's wheelbarrow of fat on stage & how we all cringed. We sure know better, but big food & big pharma are going to resist & try to keep us unhealthy & sick. But the nay sayers will eventually give into the facts & more importantly the healthy results from low carb / low process lifestyle! Will check out more of your videos.

Correlation does not mean causation. Going keto might have something to do with not having eczema, but so are a 1000 different factors. Keto isn't a magical solution to perfect food. Humans are built to survive on anything, hence our abillity to cut many different foods from our diet.
