- Zara wants a dress with lots of bling & sparkle but has a small budget of £1000, will she be able to find a dress that satisfies her tastes while still respecting the budget?

As a consultant, why the hell would you start with a dress that is one and a half times the budget?!? Wow, this makes me so angry 😡😡
That way the bride pick up the next one which will be within her budget.
Because she wants to make money and she knows that a lot of women go mental when it comes to that day. So she hopes to push the bride for a more expensive one. Also she wanted sparkles. And it is always up to the bride to say that 1000 euros/pounds/dollars is a lot of money for something you wear once in your life for 6 hours.
Cara X do not say hell
@@juliamclane8319 Hell.
I was a consultant. I never went over budget!
Why is £1000 a low budget? It’s not at all! Dresses I’ve been looking at are £500-700 and are gorgeous!
👌
Exactly! 1000 pounds is fortune to spend on one white dress!
There’s nothing wrong with going with a budget option at all, but this is like her going into a Sephora with a 20$ bill and wanting a full face of makeup..just not likely to happen. She would have had more options had she gone to a different shop
Hannah Brothers I try to find a dress for 100 pounds
It's a large, high end boutique so the stock & prices reflect that. A smaller more normal 'town High Street' boutique will usually be cheaper.
That was a bad move putting her in a dress that was 50% over budget
It's just sales....
She was opened to stretch the budget dumbass
Leah Mark Obviously not that much if she didn’t buy the damn dress 🗿
@@choiwyd848 well thats her problem she should of let them know how much she was willing to stretch the budget and plus she didnt buy it cuz she knew could of found something better within her price range
@@miagabriel5310 you are an idoit even if she didn't tell them she can stretch the budget they still would have put her in the dress
I love how she says "That's the point of a budget". Someone really needs to tell the people who work at this store.
Someone tell the brides to come in this store with more than £1000 to spend. This shop has designer labels, is in an expensive part of England (more than Lancashire), and is in a mall. Don't go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse with $20 and expect a full meal.
Why tf put a bride in a dress she can't afford? This happens all the time. It just breaks people's heart. You can ask her first of she can stretch the budget if not leave it. Don't put her into it , make her all emotional and then telling her she can't afford it is just wrong on so many levels!.
Yes, but it’s a more high end store for rich people and the dresses are probably in really good quality. If she really wanted something below her budget she should have went somewhere else where they even have dresses for £500 better than that with more detail. If they find them a dress below her budget it would have been too plain for her and she probably wouldn’t have liked it. But yea I feel like they are greedy and always want more money so they go over the budget but if it’s unlimited they go straight to a £22,000 dress.....
The bride did say if it was the right dress she could stretch the budget.
@@cocob8853 Professionals find out the price point and what the bride/family will pay because if they are put in a dress out of the price point, nothing the right price will satisfy the bride. If the bride says the budget isn't set in stone, that means they can keep looking at a higher price point. If you have watched many episodes of the American "Say Yes to the Dress" you know they warned about that every season. The difference in quality at various levels is seducing. It is death to the appointment to allow the bride to try on an extravagantly expensive dress. They won't be able to sell her anything she can buy after that.
What is wrong with showing a wealthy customer the best the shop has in stock if that is what she wants to try on? Why stock it if you don't want to show it to anybody? That makes no sense. Some customers want to show off and have a dress by a famous designer. The store has such dresses. How is that being greedy? They have a range for various price points, including "I can afford anything so run it past me, baby." They aren't there to judge. They are there to make you happy so you will tell your friends and they will get their dresses at that shop. If you don't want to be shown an expensive dress, either say so or go where they aren't available. Simple.
Disclaimer: not all wedding shop salespeople are professionals and some are pushy and greedy. The pros, though, know that is a poor strategy for long run success, for instance Kleinfeld's has been in business since 1941.
Probably for the show. As much as I love SYttD most "reality tv" is staged in one way or another.
She was opened to stretch the budget dumbass
Will anyone tell me why this show is soooooooooooooooo addicting? 😧😧😧😧
Gayathri Manoj I have no idea but if you figure it out let me know. Because it is!
It’s called say yes to the dress.
I've never been married , and live vicariously thru them.
Im addicted too.. not getting married soon but we women love shopping to this extend that we love to see lovely dresses and know their price rates even when we are in an entirely different continent 😅😁
I just love watching this because of the dresses and the drama.
I felt so proud of the bride for sticking with her budget! She looked lovely.
The dress has pockets??
Every female: *YES*
Edit: YOO everyone needs to calm down in the replies 😭 I made this comment when I was 14 😭, by every female I meant like most people or like people who agree with me, but even now i would want pockets ngl 😩✨
Yeah, to stash our M&M's, chips and dips. 🤣🤣🤣
@Izabella Aof I've been waiting a long time to hear someone else voice this.
I personally wouldn't want pockets on my wedding dress. I wouldn't want to have pictures of me with my hands in the pockets cause that takes away from the elegance and the bridal look... it just looks sluggish.
@@bbylique It looks more fashionable like you are walking down the runway though
@@bbylique I mean, if your dress has pockets it's not required to stick your hands in them for photos lol?
If I was told by the consultant that I was being shown a dress that was over my budget, I'd rather know what the price was before I tried on the dress, that way if the price was too high then I would avoid trying it on and feeling disappointed. Though I'm glad that the bride stuck to her budget rather than let herself to be pushed to spend more money, unlike a lot of the other brides on this version. 😊😊
J yep exactly I wouldn’t even want to risk SEEING it lol
They do that because the pricy dress is typically nicer and they brides will fall for them.
@@glamgirl7779 Yeah but they don't tell you sometimes or at least that was my experience with men's wedding suits. I was helping a friend and he ended up falling in love with a 1300 EUR suit and that's excluding shirt, shoes and cuff-links that will make the price go up to 1700 EUR. That's a lot of money for the males. The bride ended up spending around 2000 EUR! Well, his mistake was to say "I'll buy the one that I'll like the most" and they brought him the expensive ones! XD
How long did u spend writing this
I totally agree with you thats exactly what i thought too
1000 dollars can buy you a nice dress at your local boutique
You are absolutely right. My DIL got her dress at a local bridal shop, it was a Casablanca and absolutely gorgeous. It's was $800. She looked stunningly beautiful in it.

Mine was $250 and way more gorgeous than any of these lol
Halo Davis Have you been dress shopping?
I wish... I've looked at all my local boutiques and the cheapest I could find was 1600.... :( Thinking I have to just DIY a dress at this point.
Even if I knew I could stretch my budget a bit, if the consultant asked, I would say I had zero wiggle room. If you give them an inch, they'll take a mile.
"Could you stretch the budget?"
"I could certainly go lower!"

I love this bride cause first of all she proposed to her husband *and* she payed for the dress herself;;;;
Leo Moody I dont know much, who else is supposed to pay for the dress?
@@Rooted_Locs your mom is supposed to pay for it
@@Rooted_Locs Sometimes the mother pays for it, sometimes the grandmother, sometimes it's the bride, mother, and anyone else that wants to chip in. There really aren't any rules. There are old rules about this stuff. The Bride's family pays for the dress, reception venue, and food. The groom's family pays for the rehearsal dinner, flowers, and alcohol. I can't remember who pays for the entertainment. Probably the bride's family. The Bride's family are considered the hosts and introduce the Groom's family along the reception line. The Bride and groom are last. :) There are etiquette books about it. But most of that is old school and most people today do whatever is most comfortable and affordable for them.
@@LEOLEO-mg5cl I heard in Asia it is the exact opposite. Based on traditional Asian etiquette, the groom's family pays for everything - the wedding venue, bride's dress, reception, entertainment, flowers, decor, etc. - since the groom is getting the "benefit" of a new addition to their family (a new Mrs.) to join the family name.
@@crazychickenlala idk abt others asian countries but in india their are a lot of wedding ceremonies so first of all both the sides ie the groom and bride sides have tgeir own mini parties and ceremonies like haldi ,mehndi, bachlor, dj,saant, mata ki choki etc then there is finally the wedding day in which the bride side pays all expenses everything including the dress then the next day or a day later there is a reception ceremony in which the groom side pays for the expenses.also the weddings are usually always very very big and also befor the wedding ceremonies there is also an engagement party or ceremony in which the bride s side pays the expenses.and in addition to every expense the bride side also gives a lot of gold and clothes and other expensive things and gifts to the groom s side and all the groom s important relatives.
this is all trye and from experience since my elder sister just dot married recently and though i hate all this concept of giving tgese all gifts to the groom s side no one really cares or is borthered cause these all are orthodox rituals and traditions.in my scociety words "this all is a MUST that along with you daughter/sister u also have to do this fucking rituals of giving so expensive gifts gold jeweleries and money to the groom family along with the relatives too.though my family didnt really had a problem and my parents were giving everything very wholeheartedly cause we both are their only children but still i jate the fact that the groom s mother is one greedy bitch so yeah
Dont know y they always ask the bride to be to put up her budget! 😖😶😑. The other versions of the show doesnt do that!
Yes they do!!
This is really bad for the brides. I dont like it at all!
What the bride wants doesn’t always fit her budget. Beading, crystal, and larger silhouettes just cost more. She should have chose a more slender silhouette with a beaded belt or a dress with no beading at all accessorized with jewelry and other accessories.
Probably because what she wants costs more money than she is spending. 1000 is pretty low and this seems like a more high-end store.
@@christinafurlow6815 i understand that dear. But all the time this happens, whenever they ask about wat the bride is looking for and when she tells em they always u need to up ur budget , in the u.s version they dont do this at all. Yhey give them the same blink and all that in their budget.

There is reason people have a budget,i've seen beautiful dresses for as low as 500. Why do they treat the bride like she is cheap
Well she did went to high end bridal shop. With the budget she has, the store she is shopping at, and design she wanted it's like going to Coach and trying to find a purse for 50 bucks. Yes she could have found something under her budget, just not here.
All they care for is more profit , it's unfortunate

Julia Andrew Probably because she said she could stretch the budget and what she wanted to pay was unrealistic for such sparkle
My dress was that short length, I didn't have a veil, just a head piece kinda thing. I loved it!
I'm sorry but how is a dress romantic?
@@stacy5647 it's all a matter of opinion.
Stacy Awuor lol... it just is, depending the style and the setting... sounds like you’ve never dressed up before
Loved the second dress on her. Made her waist look tiny. She could also wear sparkly earrings and bracelets, etc. The shorter
length means no tripping over the gown, and ease in sitting, dancing, visiting with guests.
I feel the same!!
"It's a litttttlee bit over budget" literally went 50% over budget.
The dresses in this shop usually start at £1500. Princess, sparkly, etc. cost money. If she has a beer budget she shouldn't go to a fine wine shop.
And what's with the "almost 50%" more about? If you came in wanting something for $1 and all the shop has cost over $2, you'd say "that's 100% more! Outrageous!" But it is only $1 more.
This is bridal. That means $$. IDK why all you people are doing the math equations but not looking at where her budget is versus what the shop has. Your minds are not computing the whole scenario here.
The bride said she had wiggle room. The consultant showed her the cheapest dress in the store with one of her requirements. Then she showed her a dress within her budget soxshe could make a more well-informed decision. What is the problem here?
Only with this series of SYTTD do brides routinely come in with budgets at the low price point of the shop. And of course they want bling and "wow factor" details. All of you complaining don't see that the consultants (and David) do the best they can with the budgets they are given. Hence the "is there any stretch?" question usually pops out with low budget brides. Stop complaining and really look at the appointment instead of just hating .
I really didnt like the tea length dress or the consultant. Dont tell me she puts the first dress on the bride and it costs too much for the bride and the consultant cant find a similar gown lower priced and she had to go straight to the tea length. I don't trust her.
Yeh, I bet there was a dress floor length with the same sparkly belt for at least $800.00, it seems the heart of the consultant sunk when she heard the budget and wasn't enthusiastic to do a proper search.
czcams.com/video/zLwubqnHZj8/video.html something like the first dress that this bride tried on would have been beautiful

I'm impressed with this bride, and her entourage as well. Are you planning for a wedding---or for marriage and married life? For a bride to know what she wants, and understands that this is what it sometimes means as an adult--THAT bodes well for future teamwork in marriage. Sorry bridezillas, but welcome to the real world.

Long way to go for a dress, she’s in the UK
The USA dress and diverse as the Uk's and the USA dress look cheap for the amount of money being spent.
Bought a USD 100 dress from local store (the one who already some lace in it) and hand sewn all of the blink by my self. Cost 170 bucks for all of it and every guests said it's stunning ❤❤❤
YAY for you! For any bridge: buy a "simple"/unadorned gown (a dress that you otherwise love the style/silhouette and everything else about it) - even at one of these SYTTD or similar shops - and then separately purchase bling (in a store or online) and pay a competent seamstress to add it (with the added bonus of your gown being entirely custom). This would save s-o-o-o much money and you wouldn't have to compromise (there is a woman who used to live right down the street from me who did off-site work for a bridal shop for alterations and customization).
I just now searched “bling for bridal dresses” and this is the first thing that I found: www.etsy.com/listing/647133121/deluxe-3d-rhinestone-beaded-crystal?gpla=1&gao=1&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0Ob71q6x6QIVBobICh2EfAOZEAQYAyABEgLoYvD_BwE (the first one displayed was only ~$28.00)
