tbh I think Nick's portrait captures the primitive essence of Matteo, while Matteo went for style over essence.

To be honest, if these paintings were in a line up I'd be able to identify Nick's portrait as Matteo more than the other way around. Nick could become a police sketch artist 😂

I could instantly see/recognise Matteo in Nick's portrait. While Matteo's had perhaps more artistic flair, I wouldn't have instantly recognised it as Nick.
Gotta admit that Matteo's is gorgeous, but it doesn't look as much like Nick as Nick's looks like Matteo.
Absolutely! I think Matteo’s is very professional but I don’t know if I would immediately recognize Nick. Matteo looks totally like Matteo. Nick did a great job.

I think art is very subjective. Matteos portrait captured how Nick would look in a 10min painting, more realism. Nicks portrait captures Matteos fun and unique character.

I can definitely tell it's Mateo in Nick's painting! It captures the essence of his disdain yet slightly amused face 100%😊

This video led me down a rabbit hole of Matteo's art portfolio and holy crap this guy is legit a master!! I can't believe I only knew him as a stand-up for so long. Nick's art was lovely too. I'd buy either of them for my wall!

I love the sense of gesture in Matteo's portrait; it's giving J.C. Leyendecker, but comes across a little stiff on screen and doesn't quite capture Nick's impish character. Nick's portrait looks like teenage fan art for a boyband, but exudes more character.

I used to be an art teacher, and I have to say I loved both paintings. Matteo, you are really talented in a classic way. I loved the primitive nature that Nick paints with as well. It's a much better painting than I expected it to be with all of Nick's shade. Both of my kids said they always had art materials that everyone else envied. One got all of the crafting skills (she can DIY like a champ) and the other kid got the classic art skills like drawing, painting, and sculpting.
Nick you absolutely captured Matteo in your painting- Matteo's is gorgeous, but it could be any 6'4" male model

As someone with BFA in drawing, I would love to see more of Matteo's drawings. He doesn't draw with paint, which is something a lot of us drawers do. I'm so impressed. Also love Nick's interpretation of Matteo, especially the hair. I totally see him in it. Bravo.

Honestly, I think you both have a distinct style. Could Matteo's have a little more personality in the face? Yes. Could Nick's have been a little more accurate on measurements? Yes. But they are both good, and they both show how you see your friend. A++

Honestly, Nick's level of delulu is villain level iconic. Like if Ivan Ooze had a lovechild with Megamind, that would be Nick. As far as the paintings go... well, pumpkins, I guess it comes down to the age old question: Style (Matteo) or Substance (Nick)? I can't decide, because while Matteo's is obviously stylish and spot on, Nick's really captures, well only captures, Matteo's hilariously snarky personality.
I love how most of these episodes are Matteo actually saying he has experience in the specific topic and Nick still has the sheer confidence to think he will outshine Matteo 😂
While Mateo's portrait of Nick doesn't fully resemble Nick I see similarities and would hang it in my home.
