Retro Digicams: The 3DS Camera

I take a look at the cameras on a game console again, this time the Nintendo 3DS.
The DS was one of my favourite handheld consoles, but I never actually used the camera on it. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that did, but to me it was always just a bit of a gimmick.
I decided to snap a few photos and give a quick look at the 3DS, when used as a camera.

I like the weirdly analog 90s look the 3ds camera has. Perfect for liminal space photos

yes! I love using older cameras like this for liminal photos. its not "good" quality but its got character

One key thing to remember is that while yes this is undoubtedly a gimmick, for kids at the time it was really nice to have. I still have a few from when I was younger, and the quality of the photos are pretty good with a certain charm to them.

Oh absolutely. Though I didn't have one as a kid, the quality doesn't matter much and I'd still take pictures of almost anything with the cameras I did have. I'm sure kid me would have loved if my DS had a camera, and I had a blast with a friend's gameboy camera.

How do you send the video file to your cellphone and upload it to CZcams?

I used a PC with a card reader to transfer files from the SD card in the DS. You can get card readers that work with phones as well if you don't have a computer, but I'm not sure if there is any other way
