I'm old enough to remember when EVERYONE flipped over the newer 1987 front-end styling of these fox Mustangs. It was the new craze. Suddenly the 86 and older was seen as "has beens". . Fast forward to 2021, and now those old sealed beam headlight cars are sought after classics. The Euro headlights just look like any other car now. Long live the (so called) 4 eye Mustangs. It really does look cool to see one on the road.
Man that a somewhat clean, great survivor car, always love the clean ten hole wheels and being a 4 eye
is special.
I would get it running perfect and drive it just the way it is. Beautiful 😍
Man oh man oh man, I miss both my '85 5.0 LX I bought brand new and then my '85 Mustang GT I bought 10 years later, should have kept both!!! This was awesome.
I miss my 86 gt t-top. She’s rotting away at my brother’s now lol. Never could get the T- top to not leak when it rained.
I bought an 85 GT from a one owner back in 1999. Car was mint minus dash pad with only 44.484 on it. Car had every piece of documentation since built. I only paid $2,000 for it.
I just picked up an 85 gt ttop this year. Same color and all except mine has cruise control. It's got a long way to go to get back to this shape. Very nice.

The only way that could be any better is if it was the bright red. An 85 top is what got me into fox Mustangs. I love this car. The t tops is what makes this car.

Had one just like it! It was my first fox. My paint wasn’t as good but I wander if this car hasn’t been painted because I believe there was a mustang gt sticker on the hatch form the factory. Nice find!

My Fox is an 85 as well same color but was a 3.8 LX. Previous owner swapped in a thunderbird flatt tappet 5.0 from 83-85 with the TBI. I definitely want to swap the TBI and or build a roller motor to throw in her
I drug my current 85 t-top gt out of a barn where it sat since 98. it has all the cool 90's mods. it's a real time capsule.

You know I'm not trying to get all emotional on ya. But back in 2003 when I was 25 I had a black 86 just like that. I was headed back to work and I was late so naturally I was speeding. Ha ha ha, down around lake Barkley Dam I got stopped by the Kentucky State Police and when that old dude walked up he looked down at me through the T-Top and in a deep Southern accent he said "what's ya hurry boy"

T-top option was available through mid-1988. Not sure but I think last production was March 1988.
