People complain about the Fox body style - I love it. A very important generation in the evolution of America's favorite pony car. The only Mustang i didn't like was the Mustang II in the early seventies. This 85 GT is beautiful. Nice job!
Nice mustang , I had a 92 , they runs nice with msd 6al box once u try it u won't run without it again , frame connectors also firms up chassis and make it go straight when launch, I also put in king cobra stage 2 clutch which soften up the clutch pedal and had better grip ,always use dealer throw out bearings never use aftermarket.
That's really cool! ;) I miss this one! I swapped it for a 2001 Bullitt several years ago, which I still have. These "4-eye" GT's are becoming harder and harder to find.
@@edwardprete I actually have a "True Blue" Bullitt. Yes the green is more desirable/recognizable but the blue was super limited. I'm in Indiana. The CA plate was a reproduction from "Back to the Future"......OUTATIME was on the DeLorean! ;) ...also from 1985.
Very nice. I bought an 85 brand new when I was much younger. I liked the look of the stock rims. Only two mods I made at the time: I replaced that hideous, skinny cruise control steering wheel with the stock three spoke wheel with the oval design. I believe Ford at the time was obsessed with ovals as they were prominent in the Taurus. Must have been an homage to the Ford logo. I also I replaced the stock stationary antenna with an auto up/down electric one. Enjoy!
Thanks for the compliments! I'm sure you can get yours looking just as nice. No, I actually swapped this for a 2001 Bullitt. I have a few videos of that on my channel as well...but this was a FINE GT!
Super!! Boy do I miss my 85 GT.. Same exact as yours, only in light blue, bought new in late 84.. Same leaky t-tops...in FL. Had way to much fun in that car. Will you ever sell?
Absolutely beautiful ride love the color i wish mine was that clean ..I'm looking for a shifter console 5 speed if anyone has any info please send me a message thanks
I'm pretty sure you're going to have to dig under the dash....I'm not 100% sure. The entire time that I owned this Fox, the heater core had been bypassed....and I never got around to replacing it.

I couldn't agree more. Thanks!
I had a black convertible 85 GT Mustang. Awesome car. I wish I had never sold it.
I know what you mean! These Four-Eyed Foxes are getting harder and harder to find!
Esta precioso mi amigo.
Edwin Vele Thank you!
Super clean!!
i had one of these in highschool it was awesome. canyon red but i didnt have electric windows and locks. 5.0 ho though!
nice mustang

Beautiful. I stumbled here from your Strat 920D video. I have an 86 GT as well (in addition to a few strats).

@@CoffeeDrinker71 Bullitt's are nice! Highland green I hope! Are you in CA or IN? Plate said CA?

Very cool! Yeah, I remember that Ford oval shape was everywhere in the styling especially in the early 90's.
A fine car indeed.
Thanks!

That’s awesome!!! Good times. Yes, I actually swapped this ‘85 GT for the ‘01 Bullitt that’s also on my channel. ;)
Cast not forged wheels. I have them on my 93 Reef Blue Metallic coupe.

Lindo el carro
The mufflers actually look like Mac mufflers and you need to put the hood decal back on
Thanks. I no longer own the GT.
Please help me do you know where the heater core is on the 85 I don't want to take the dash off if mine to find out it'd under the passenger somewhere

Loved the sound of the Mid 80s to early 90s 5.0 Mustangs. Then new 5.0 sound like old Chevys.
I agree!
I thought that the 4 lug wheels came with the 4 cylinder cars.
No they used the 4 lug wheels on every model. I can’t remember what year they switched over completely…possibly in 94?
My parents have one with 800 hp red with black headlight covers
The driver side floor mat will cause you're pedal to jam at wot watch out happened to me 3 Times scary
Beautiful car! I just purchased an 85 GT just like it (no T-Tops). You're in Noblesville? I'm not too far from you. :-)
Yes! Cool, can't wait to see some videos of yours!
You can tell that's a West Coast car. The underneath is spotless.
I can't tell you were it came from before I bought it many years ago, but as far as I know it spent a long time in Indiana (where I bought it).
@@CoffeeDrinker71
Wow, even more impressive!
@@wellfleetion Yeah! Sadly, I no longer have it. :( I swapped with a fella in Ky for a 2001 Bullitt....which is still nice!
Do you have the 10 hole rims?
I know this video is dated.
Thanks for asking. No, I sold the 10 hole rims along with the car about 3 years ago.
Hope you haven’t sold it.
Do you still have it?
No sir...I swapped it for the 2001 Bullitt that is also on my channel. ;)
Wow very nice 5.0
Thanks!
Are you looking to sell this? I am very interested in buying.
It is sold. Thanks for asking.
Nice i got the same wheels but chrome.
Do you still own the car?
No unfortunately it's gone. On a brighter note, I traded it for the 2001 Bullitt on my channel.
@@CoffeeDrinker71 oh yeah that’s cool. Congrats on that.
NEW IGNITION POINTS ???.... wtf !!!.... ELECTRONIC IGNITION !!!
He's probably an old hot rod guy(like me) and it slipped out :-)
