- We were headed to a baby shower for Abby when we got the bad new that our flight was cancelled. We had a layover in Charlotte, NC and were completely stranded.

As a CLT based flight attendant - so sorry about all the cancellations last weekend! Weather in Florida caused a ripple effect everywhere. It was good y’all didn’t wait. I heard of passengers waiting 8 hours last weekend. Working to STL this weekend ✈️✈️✈️

Oh Matt and Abby, I’m so sorry to hear you were stuck in Charlotte. The same thing happened to me on my way to my stepfather’s funeral. I even stayed in the same hotel as you guys and had the $12 voucher too. When I heard American Airlines it brought memories; we had an entire shuttle filled with cancelled flights and no one wanted to use American again after that. 😅 I’m so glad you were able to make it for your baby shower in time! Here’s to a wonderful and better trip home. :)

I got stuck at a airport too!😫 our flights got canceled and we had to sleep at the airport overnight, It was the worst.😫 So so glad you guys made it and can't wait to see the baby!❤

I went to college in Charlotte and I LOVED living there! I’d move back in a heartbeat if the right job opportunity popped up. The only downside is that I’ve never had a flight go out of the airport that hasn’t been delayed or canceled.
