The new Five Nights at Freddy's DLC, Ruin, has only been out for a week, but my team and I have hunkered down ever since to try and solve everything we can, not just about Ruin, but Security Breach and the history of the Mega Pizzaplex as well! Are we right?

Then let's start. The client 46 is an unidentified female. That's why there was a doubt about vanny and vanessa not being the same person and or multiple personalities.
Edit: Forget about it, the wiki refers to Client 46 "Minor Character" as "They". The gender is unknown.
Most believe that Gregory’s comic strips that resemble the endings in SC are meant to show that the endings depicted on the strips are not the canon endings, but I beg to differ on the one featuring the Blob & Burntrap, because if it’s not the canon ending, how would Gregory know about Burntrap & the Blob if getting to that ending is the only way to see both of them? My guess is that the Burntrap ending & the Princess Quest endings are one ending as a whole, but we’ll see.

EDIT: Also I got some "Circus Baby" vibes from the Mimic after seeing the eyebrow & mouth piece. After watching one of Fuhnaff's videos, I realized I'm not the only one who thinks this.

@@andresriveiro8635A minor character means a underage character, a child character. Educate yourself. It's not Vannesa or Vanny, it's Gregory. The therapists don't need to see a face to know they talk to a adult or a minor with these two body shape and voice. And it's "they" because it's English - when you ask in English, you never claim others gender, unless you ask them directly about it. There aren't gendered verbs, adjectives, most of nouns in English. If it would be Slavic or similar language, the minor would be claimed male or female right away. You can't use English genderless as an argument.

I definitely was 😂 I wasn’t up to date with FNaF since the end of UCN, and having to read ALL the Tales from the Pizzaplex books definitely made me annoyed. But all in all, I’m still happy I did because everything makes so much more sense with them
I honestly was one of those deniers but the mimics introduction just raises more questions than answers. Which is the exact thing i was afraid of

In the books, the story “The Mimic” shows the mimic has a strong connection to tigers. Since Edwin’s son likes them, this might show why the mimic would be a tiger.
It was also specifically a white tiger plushie as well, which is the exact same type of tiger as Tiger Rock
But in Ruin, it's a lion.
Also interesting idea that no one has really brought up but Princess Quest really showed us that people can get trapped in arcade games. Maybe Gregory's high scores were his attempts to find the missing children or even measure if a child get stuck in the games.

I think the Storyteller is in the VANNI, a device Vanny probably made. It is also implied even if you are Infected by Glitchtrap that the original personality is still under the Mimic1. So, Gregory is still watching under GGY.
at the end i think it really is gregory speaking, considering the fact that cassie is likely being controlled by the mimic a little bit, and will be controlled more. gregory is probably trying to keep cassie from the mimic so she doesn't die, but doesn't want her to follow him incase she gets controlled.
Yeah it doesn't make sense for the mimic to use gregory's voice to explain what the mimic is doing down there. But i still don't get how he betrayed cassie by causing her elevator to fall because how would that even work? he wasn't near the pizza plex so how could that have happened

I was writing a theory called "Oops, all Mimics!" but gave up. However there is a lot of overlap with what you have here, so I'll share some of my relevant notes to support what you have here. But the gist of it is that I think there a multiple versions of the Mimic program running simultaneously, each one different because of the different things they have learned, which is why you have Grimic and Melpy arguing with each other at one point even though they are both clearly the Mimic:
- From CD 16: "the source of the glitch shifted. You'll have to excuse me, I'm not all that familiar with computer programming, so I might get this wrong, but what I understand is that the glitch stopped being a glitch and turned into an intentional set of subroutines that were aimed at creating the same thing the glitch created." This sounds to me that even though the technicians tried to remove the glitch, the Mimic OS had already observed it and intentionally started mimicking the glitch, hence going from a glitch to intentional subroutines.
- After the VANNI mask implants the occipital transponder into Cas, she begins seeing things that aren't there even with the mask off. The most obvious thing is the messages from Helpy/Melpy, but also the fact that the mask "removes" physical obstacles only makes sense if those obstacles were never there in the first place and were placed by the implant. Vanessa and Jeremy likewise seemed to be hallucinating after their exposures (according to the CDs and AR emails), and as you pointed out, the books have a recurring theme of people not being able to tell what is real anymore after connecting to the VR/AR system. (Even the next book coming out, "B7-2" is going to be about the same thing according to its synopsis). Also, I feel like its a hint that Melpy has a purple "vein" running from this eye to the back of his head, where the occipital lobe of the brain is.
- The endos underneath the Pizzaplex all seem to be running on Mimic software. Instead of being programmed, they're kept in a sort of endo daycare where they learn from observing. Since these endos are apparently used by ALL animatronics in the Pizzaplex, this means all animatronics are running off of a Mimic program.
- This might just be an aesthetic choice, but I noticed that the computer terminals in the endo "daycare", in parts and services, and in the basement connected to the MXES are all very old computers, almost identical to a model from the early 1980s I found with a google image search. Every other computer in Pizzaplex is a modern computer. This seems intentional. Perhaps for some reason they need a computer from the early 1980s (when the Mimic was first made) to interface with all these mimics due to compatibility issues?
So I guess this means old willy boy truly is gone and it's just the mimic now? Definitely a new era for fnaf.
After everything happend in Security Breach the Glitchtrap still existed in Vanny's mask and that's how Mimic still had access to the surface, get an access to Cassie.
gregory is a child, but he is definitely highly intelligent. his analytical mind makes it difficult for possession to take hold. even though it didnt seem like his therapy sessions werent going anywhere, they likely were. i always wondered why freddy couldnt find gregory in the system, but he probably erased himself, probably to evade banishment. it would also explain why vanessa and gregory would work nonstop to keep the mimic from influencing anything

There's one more element I'd like to pose. The Mimic program is able to mimic people, but what if portions of this program grew independent of it's central mass? What if Cassidy was a part of the Mimic that the whole of the Mimic found inconvenient? Think of it like multiple personalities. Some parts of the Mimic want to help, some want to hurt. It's locking away parts of itself that will stop it from hurting others. Who knows? Maybe Gregory is one of those fragments?
And to add more to your theory why would the mimic specifically choose Gregory well it seems like it had its eye on him for awhile during the build-up to help wanted VR there was a conversation going on in scottgames where the mimic and Vanessa was having a conversation about selecting a chosen one or something
Couple of things i feel worth mentioning.
The headsets are like the Vanny mask since Cassie is trapped in the false reality in the Brazil ending.
Why would the mapbot rip out his head to make bunny ears and keep the mask with him unless something other then the Mimic wants the mask to be used by Cassie.
And the story's literally say the Mimic is in multiple forms across multiple things and the game heavily implies some form of William is back from the parts from the animatronics used for HW so both are right the books and games are just showing the 2 sides of the same coin, The Mimic doing his own thing while Glitchtrap is part of the Mimic1 programme that evolved on it's own by what remains of William.
Glitchtrap is the remains of William's spirit/his agony taking control of the part of the mimic1 program which Vanessa and Gregory was taken control by and when Vanessa spread Glitchtrap across the Pizzaplex it unintentionally awaken the original Mimic and M.X.E.S was made to stop the Mimic from ruining Glitchtrap's plans and when Glitchtrap was defeated he went down to Burntrap as well as the mask to try and survive and when the Blob defeated Burntrap then what little remains of Glitchtrap finds it's was down to the M.X.E.S system as a last ditch effort to remain in control while the mask is there waiting to be used again as why would a map
I dont actually think William is still there inside Burntrap or MXES as MXES were most likely made by Vanessa as Vanny to block the Mimic from taking control over the animatronics tho it could still hear and record everything as all the lines the mimic says as it pretends to be Gregory can be found from the main game.
As for Burntrap, that thing is just an exoskeleton of a mimic shoved inside Afton's corpse, it's most likely AI more than it is the real William, whether it's due because of the circuit boards or programs scanned in VR or the mimic AI itself. anything left of Afton was most likely killed in that old fire in Fnaf 3.
Remnant dies, the spirits dont but nothinng of what we see in game prooves Afton is alive or conscious in any way as all his lines were cut and all we are left with is an AI inside Vanny's mask who made Vanny serve it and build it a body or husk to host with Afton's body to best mimic it like Matpat or Fuhnaff suggest.
After all William cant live forever, sure he can say he will always come back but it doesnt mean he will, heck the endos used to make Burntrap are the same ones used for the Glamrocks. If they can feel emotions because they most likely learned after mimicking people since they are AI, I dont see how Burntrap couldnt just be an AI mimicking Afton
@@puffersaur6422 fair but the Mimic is far under the FNAF 6 location which is implied to be the original Fredbear's Family Diner from 1983. And since the M.X.E.S system is very old and the fact that Gregory or Vanessa doesn't know what it is but only know it was down there for a long time means the Mimic was trapped pre Security Breach (most likely during the FNAF 6 fire as Henry even if he didn't make it would want to try and destroy it as it does have some burn marks on it) and can possibly even date back to 1983 as if Henry can make suits that are also animatronics then someone at the time can also make an endo that can compress and change size.
Plus William's and Springtrap's code were put in HW, the Mimic program was to only make them mimic their behaviour and movement, why would we be told this unless it had something to do with the story.
Afton isn't in glitchtrap his agony might be but it's mimic1 not afton
@@ZavoyHarwood yeah Afton is completely gone as his spirit is being tortured forever by Golden Freddy, but his agony has his memories and his goals/motivations so it is like he is still around but he's not. He just left one hell of an impact

The reason Freddy’s head is gone is because of the ending where venessa Gregory and Freddy’s head are on a hill eating ice cream/ the princess quest ending

Here's my dumb theory, I really hope someone replies!
How did Gregory free himself from the Mimic's influence? He never did...Vanessa freed him. How? When we play Help Wanted, we're playing as Vanessa. When we collect all the tapes, we are given instructions on how to "trap the glitch" but end up getting locked away in that room at the end. Well, what if this was all Glitchtrap/the Mimic's plan? It was in control of Gregory at the time, but decided it needed a new body/pawn and Vanessa fit the bill. When it has you go through all the steps to stop the glitch, what you're actually doing is freeing Gregory so the Glitch/Mimic can take over you.
Just a thought.
what if Gregory used Princess quest game to transfer his Mimic. And maybe Mimic can possess him most of the time and when he's not possessing Gregory he transferred Mimic to Princess quest. When Vennessa saw Gregory doing something to Princess quest machines or Mimic knew other parts of him were there he reinforced his connection with Vennesa finally taking over her body.

Also In The Daycare in RUIN, when Gregory is encouraging us after finding the second generator and going to find the last one …..am i the only one who notices that His Voice Changes….not In the creepy way….I mean his voice changes…to almost like the voice of another boy or something?????

what if the mimic was made by william and since it's stuck in springtrap, which wouldve learned to mimic william's movement, thats why the mimic takes the form of golden bonnie, and would also explain why its in help wanted

Yeahhh...... I think Gregory & Vanessa are trapped in the VR World. Having "multiple endings" now makes more sense with Ruined... I still think the "Brazil Ending" is the real end.
Cassie never met Vanessa nor did she even know she knew Gregory, yet she is there in the VR world ending.

my own ruin theory:
a week or two ago i thought about the mimic and i made up a theory about ennard being the mimic. ennard had learnt to mimic circus baby and probably the other funtimes so that is a huge similarity that only those two characters have. after ennard escaped to the sewers, he may of lost the mask. yes, i am indicating that the mimic was trying to disguise as a funtime. this theory is (so far) going nowhere but i will think about it more and edit this comment.
I did a drawing of my animatronic vampire dragon named Glamrock Fire back in 2022 before ruin was released and on her right arm had deep cuts like she was injured.
Wait there is four arms connected to the white tiger head? I never read the actual book myself, only seen the live reading on the freddit discord, and i don't remember that detail, only that it was a head connected to shoulders (wow nevermind, it has those when in the tree. Thanks for making me go back and figure that out, that's interesting.)

I feel that the burntrap ending isn't entirely retconned. I think a bit of it trickled into the real princess ending for Ruin. A big example is the earthquake

Yes there are a lot of questions from RUIN, but answer me this: why is the Mimic a thing? Like, why did we go from haunted animatronics to AIs? It just feels so off and like a total 180° shift in story telling, at this point this isn't even FNAF
This is a new era of FNaF. It’s owned by a whole new company, and now with the Afton story ending, we need a new antagonist, so Steel Wool went with an endoskeleton. It might feel a little different, but it’s still within a similar idea. A character posing as another character what shown in Sister Location and not believing everything you see was an idea in FNaF 4. We still have haunting, as shown mainly through the wet floor bots (at least it appears that’s what’s happening). It appears that SteelWool is attempting to make FNaF a bit more realistic, back to when we all believed these animatronics were just evil and not haunted. It is a big change, but they seem to still follow very similar ideas that FNaF has always followed
Like I'm not trying to be hateful and I am invested in this Mimic storyline, but as a part of the FNAF story? I'm not sure... If it were its own thing, own universe I would eat this shit up, but when we started out with a serial killer stuffing lifeless bodies into ugly animatronics evolving into an AI that controls buildings who god knows what reason, it just ruins the immersion for me

I was never a fan of the later FNaF ideas, such as animatronics that were possessed by other animatronic possessions, so I understand the feeling of not liking the current direction of FNaF. It feels like FNaF is going through many ideas, so a lot of fans will fluctuate between liking and disliking the current storyline.
@@RemGames I feel like if Steel Wool would've given Afton a proper conclusion then it would be better for the whole franchise. I'm not on top of the FNAF theory scene so that might be why, but to me Afton's story doesn't feel over, so for the shift to a new main antagonist just feels a bit off and rushed honestly?
I feel like it can work. The idea of an animatronic designed to copy and mimic humans, AI, other animatronics, etc is pretty interesting. I like the idea that the Mimic copied Williams behavior and personality and created Glitchtrap. Also makes FNAF6's ending more meaningful again cause what Henry did wasn't all for nothing now

20:00 nah, Gregory is just a bad manipulative person, were you not paying any attention to the actual things you do in security breach, Gregory brutally destroys multiple sentient animatronics for no reason, and lies to Freddy about it, he lies to Freddy about a bunch of things, they easily could've camped out in Freddy's greenroom until 6am but instead Gregory went on a massacre, there's no vast shift in personality, he's just putting up a front to manipulate freddy, and unintentionally, the player, if Cassie knew that it was Gregory who did most of that damage to the animatronics I don't think she'd wanna continue being friends with him
1. Gregory probably would have been found if he stayed in Freddy’s room the whole night. You need to keep hiding in different areas so you won’t be found.
2. If I was in Gregory’s position, I would do the same thing. They are hunting him. It’s a kill or be killed situation.

The Burntrap ending is canon or at least happened similarly as it is the *true ending* and still is in the game files. It never said that it is the canon ending just that the events in said ending are canon along with The Princess Quest ending
In the CDs, client 46 isn't Gregory. In Spanish, and many other languages, client 46 is referred to as a female child. So it can't be Gregory, but I'm sure it isn't Cassie either

Also I know that you got that from the game files don’t trust the game files they are sometimes WRONG because the Burntrap ending was called the true ending in the game files but turns out the true ending is the princess quest ending

If u connect ggy and sb cd's then Gregory is patient 46. In GGY, tony learned GGY lured the therapist into the megaplex cuz he let in some people using the party pass that is made into a security badge and in the next day there are reports of missing therapist and one of them is found but got mangled by a machinery and when he went to the principal office to look some files he found out that they are also worked in his school. In the tapes one of them said while talking to vannesa that she worked for all ages and she also worked in school.
